About this property

The Red Dragon House

  • The Red Dragon House is a great location for those who wish to discover Ashland, along with the southern Rogue Valley, but still get that rural feeling while remaining only minutes from town. The single-story house is spacious at nearly 1,000 square feet, and features mountain views of the southern Rogue Valley. The house features a large open living room/kichen area, with lots of counter space, two well-appointed bedrooms and a bathroom shower, suitable for those with mild handicaps, and has three decks from which to choose, all on a property that is 5.2 acres, in a rural neighborhood, that's quiet. All this only five minutes from the nearest restaurants and markets, and ten minutes from Downtown Ashland, and the Mt. Ashland Ski Area is only 19 miles away!

    While the neighborhood is quiet, it should be mentioned that the property is adjacent to I-5, which makes getting to us easy, but does provide some road noise. So, if it's total quiet you require, this may not be the best fit for you, though the there is no road noise inside the house.

Property was really close to Ashland but nice and quiet. Was a little nervous about the closeness of I5 but it was very quiet and even while sitting outside it was quiet. House was nice and hosts were very friendly.

Delightful Visit to Ashland

We had a lovely stay at the Red Dragon House! It was clean and well-stocked, very comfortable, and just what we were hoping for! Conveniently located to downtown restaurants and theatres. We enjoyed quiet mornings on the porch with the coffee and snacks that were so generously provided. 10/10!

We received a welcome email with very clear directions to get to the property. The property was very clean and delightfully decorated. Wonderful touches like a snack basket, informational books and leaflets about local history and current activities. There were 3 outside seating areas with comfortable chairs and tables. Multiple lights in the bedroom as well as a battery powered light for emergencies. Absolutely plan to reserve for our next trip to Ashland.

We stayed just for a night on our way down to CA from WA. Mike and Mindy's place was a great place to stop and was very quiet. It was comfortable and relatively close to town. It was nice to have coffee and snacks laid out for us.

Red Dragon House Stay

This is the ideal place to stay if you're traveling with pet(s). Mindy was a very gracious host. Lots of thought has been put into the amenities offered. We loved the three different decks and the enclosed yard for our dogs. We'd love to stay there again next year on our annual Southern Oregon trip.

Red Dragon House

The Red Dragon House is a great place to stay in the Ashland area. The owners are on site and very responsive. It's not a long distance to downtown Ashland, about 5 miles. They are pet friendly and we will definitely stay again if the opportunity arises.
