The Red Chalet was the perfect location for our family while we visited Mt Rainier~ minutes from the entrance. The chalet is cozy and well stocked. We even enjoyed pancakes that were provided with all the ingredients. A gem of a place!
Property was lo ely, clean and well fitted out with a full kitchen. Hot tun and outdoor firepot exactly as advertised. Heads up, the upstairs are a bit challenging to climb if there are any persons in your group with leg issues or who are old. Its pretty steep. Otherwise, excellent place to syay.
My family and I found that the "Red Chalet" met our expectations, and provided plenty of space for the 7 of us. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were comfortable, the hot tub was a favorite, and the location would be difficult to beat for a Paradise visit.
The only issue we had was with the wifi - as can probably be expected for a remote area, the wifi was really spotty, and did not work for us for most of our stay. If you plan to stay here, plan on a great stay with poor internet connection and cell service.
The cabin is very comfortable, there were 8 of us, 6 adults and 2 children, and we had plenty of room for sleeping arrangements, games, dining and relaxing. Everything inside the cabin was clean and functional. The cabin was stocked very well with all the necessities including towels, kitchen utensils, condiments, spices, games... The proximity to Mt. Rainier National Park was very convenient too.
The owners were very accommodating and pleasant. We would recommend this place to anyone without any hesitation. Thank you.
Lovely little house very close to Mt. Rainier. Went into park either very late or very early and avoided the traffic. Games and play spaces for the kids, a TV room for Grandpa and plenty of yard space for reading, stick collecting, and quiet contemplation with morning coffee. Couldn’t hear the neighbors, little road traffic and even had a black tail doe walk through the yard. Absolutely delightful and of course very clean and comfortable.
Comfortable cabin with a spacious layout for larger family with some private rooms for adult kids / spouses. Huge dining table that’s great for games and crafts. Small tv room that keeps the tv noise away from the central gathering area.
Deep forest vibe. There are neighbors but the other cabins are spread out and there’s lots of trees providing privacy. Plus walking distance to a large river that’s fun to explore.
Bring all your groceries and fill up your gas tank as there are very limited / expensive options for food and supplies.
I stayed with 7 friends at the property with our 2 dogs and had such a great time. There’s a huge table for lots of family time and puzzles. The hot tub is nice and private. The cabin is like a 2 minute drive to the Mt Rainier NP entrance too! There’s a gravel road to walk down the street right by the river (cross the gate). The wood stove kept us cozy and the big windows made for lovely mornings. The kitchen is fully stocked so we were set for our coffee and thanksgiving dinner! The beds are a little old but the cabin is very worth the stay. All of us agreed we would consider coming back in the future.
We were a group of 2 families with 3 children looking for fall colors at Paradise before first snow. The Red Chalet was the perfect jumping off point to enter Mt Rainier from the Ashford entrance of Mt Rainier without a long drive (<5 mins). We were able to enter the park early and stay late given this fantastic proximity. The house was cozy and just right for a hiking vacation. The kids could watch a move in the other room while the adults played a board game. We did find several dirty dishes from a previous guest that had been put back in the cupboards without the owners knowledge, and the hot tub was out of order. But the owners did their best to have it repaired for our stay, and approved early check in and late check out.
This was the perfect house for our family weekend in Rainier! The Red Chalet is super close to the park entrance, all the necessities, wonderful hot tub, fire pit, and great accommodations. Toby was quick to answer any questions and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
This house was exactly what we were looking for! Loved coming back to a fire and/or sitting the hot tub after long days of hiking in Rainier National Park! Perfect long weekends getaway
Just what our family needed for some peaceful R&R not too far from home (Seattle area). Enjoyed seeing wildlife and having close access to MRNP. Would love to return when there is snow at the cabin!
Best cabin to stay in near Mt. Rainier! Cannot express how perfect this home was for our group. Had a cozy feel throughout and the hot tub was perfect after a long day of hiking.
Great and cozy home in the pines and conveniently located near Mt. Rainier. Spacious for family or friends and a good base for adventures! Toby was a gracious and helpful host!
We loved our stay at Red Chalet! Great location to access Mount Rainier NP, with plenty of space on the property for kids & dogs to play safely. The hosts were helpful and communicative and we feel like they went the extra mile to ensure we had a great stay. 10/10 would recommend!
