The room was perfect for the three of us providing three separate sleeping accommodations. The pullout sofa bed was not very comfortable, thin and bumpy mattress. The two beds in the bedroom were extremely comfortable the space had great amenities. The tub/shower was very slippery. I asked two different individuals for a bathmat, was told they did not think they had any but would check. Client safety is important. There was extensive remolding construction taking place. During certain times of the day the elevators were slow to arrive apparently due to worker use. Never heard any of it taking place.

When we checked in they put us in a Handicap Accessible room which they said we reserved. We reserved a Standard room and eventually they moved us. They we doing extensive construction in the building and was noisy from 8 am until 7 pm, wish we would have know and we would have went to another property. Not very happy with this visit.

The noise of renovation. From 8:00 am untill 7:00pm.The noise was loud and never ending. I do not know why we were not warned of this before we get to the hotel. Very disappointed.

This is a very nice hotel. Convenient to Biltmore estate. Even though the hotel is undergoing renovation, it didn’t affect our stay. Great breakfast.

The staff is friendly and breakfast was good - would have loved more fruit options. Workout area nice, pool nice, hot tub nice but not very hot. The ac in our room worked but was so loud and made crazy sounds so we weren’t able to use it after it kept us up all night the first night. Maintenance came and didn’t fix the problem. When I called about it again was told there was nothing they could do but would let the manager know and ask about refunding a night since we were staying there 3 nights with no use of a/c unless we didn’t mind random loud repetitive roaring noises while it was on. No one got back with us and when I checked out with the manager and asked her about it she said “thanks for letting me know. I’ll email you a receipt”. Also, there is no where to fill a water bottle except at breakfast time. Otherwise there are just water fountains that don’t have water bottle dispensers. Seems like most hotels we stay at have an area for guests to get water for refillable water bottles. Pretty basic. Elevator was broken. Ice machine was broken We were pretty disappointed overall. They have a ways to go to be called a Marriott.

Breakfast wasn’t worth it; poor options and poor taste but they had the classic waffle and oatmeal set up. They have a Starbucks a couple hundred feet away that you can walk to and avoid traffic, “easy” access to the sidewalk. One part you have to walk right along the cars, but the pool was a huge plus.

Property was under construction. The amenities that made me chose the hotel were not available nor was I made aware when making the booking. I was made aware upon arrival though. However, I woken up the next day (Saturday morning) with hammer drills and banging which was not fun. The refunded the last night but the damage was done. Construction and trash was everywhere. Breakfast was very limited and had to request food during the breakfast hours. I would like to see what it looks like after the construction, because at the time was not a good experience.

This hotel was excellent. It was clean, the staff was friendly, and the location was right outside the Biltmore Estate. The continental breakfast was good but, if you wanted something else, there was a Starbucks across the parking lot and a nice bagel place next door and other restaurants within easy walking distance. I would definitely recommend this place.

Pictures from the listing make it seem way larger than it actually was. Don’t know if it was due to renovation or being short staffed, but as listed, there is no restaurant/bar in the hotel, and breakfast to order was not an option. I had seen these things in the listing.

I specifically booked with Scenic View to take advantage of pool and other stated amenities but some of their facility was under renovations. Front desk attendant Jermaine took upon himself to go above and beyond so that my children were not disappointed given pool closure. This gentleman went to great extent which you dont see much these days. so impressed! Hopefully management knows the quality personnel on frontline. thanks again!!!!

If you are visiting the Biltmore Estates you should stay here My stay was Fabulous So clean and fresh! Felt safe and secure The room set up was great with allocated places to put your bags and so much drawer space A desk 2 chairs and a large tv Coffee pot microwave fridge I really wanted to pull up a moving truck and sneak out the bed and bedding Most comfortable bed and bedding I have Ever ever ever ever…… slept on Like sleeping on a dream When I got home I was miserable sleeping in my own bed I am hoping I can get the information from the hotel to purchase the same bed and bedding they use The staff was super friendly and helpful Check in was personal and easy Anything we needed was taken care of Even a late room transfer request and finding my lost pillow I would recommend this hotel to anyone I did not use all the amenities but there were so many available to me Parking was easy and close by with plenty of handicap spaces and easy access to the building Minutes from The Biltmore house dining options gas and groceries as well All this for a really reasonable price

Not quite the breakfast of champions
The hotel was very nice. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was another story. First morning, while boring in its offerings, it was OK. The second morning was another story. There was no cream for coffee. The coffee ran out and guests had to wait about 20 minutes. Then there weren’t any cups. The styrofoam cups look cheap. Nice ones with the hotel’s logo would be better. The woman manning the station spoke almost no English. When I asked her to dump my watery coffee and give me my cup back do I could re-use it, she did not understand. There were no new cups to be had. A guest could not understand how to use the waffle maker. She looked at them, did not care or try to comprehend and moved on. There were instant grits galore. Instant oatmeal for us northerners would have been nice. The sausages were overdone like hockey pucks. I did not see any wiping of tables in two days. The countertops were covered in cereal. Parents of small children had very slim pickings for breakfast options. There wasn’t enough room. As a corporate group had taken almost every seat. I would definitely work on this.

Hotel in transition
The hotel was in an ownership transition from Holiday Inn to Marriott. As a result, the signage was unexpected (“Scenic Resort”) and staffing was minimal. Otherwise, the room was clean and comfortable.

Good location, comfortable room, breakfast lacking
Everything was fine except breakfast. They only served the same thing (mini-omelets and sausage) all four mornings we were there, and ran out of orange juice and eggs at 8:15 am one morning (they serve until 9). But there's a Starbucks right across the parking lot.
