Hello Guests,
With the recent Hurricane Helene the Village of Chimney Rock and Lake Lure have been devastated. And Lake Lure is currently closed, due to the extensive clean up required to restore the Lake to its former beauty. Along with that, every person in the area has lost their jobs. So, in an effort to continuing to provide income for my housekeepers, I'm dropping the nightly rate tremendously. Check the rates and I hope it's attractive enough for you to decide to come and check out the area, as well as supporting the locals who are determined to stay and help rebuild our precious little town.
If you're unaware of the damage caused by the storm, you can check it out on Youtube, Chimney Rock NC.
There are many wonderful restaurants that are open. That even the people from outside the area come to dine.
This is a Brand New Log Home with everything Brand New. It is custom built with top quality Stainless Steel Appliances, Granite Counter Tops, and a huge deck and wrap around porch, with a Gas Grill and Picnic Table. WIFI is also provided FREE. It is furnished and decorated with an intended 'Lodge' feel that is like something like you don't typically see in this area. It has custom handmade furniture from Mexico in the bedrooms and Kitchen, with Log Beds in the guest bedrooms for that Mountain feel. The cabin also comes with the use of 2 kayaks, one 8' and one 17', and a 12' canoe. There is a 32 foot long and 8 foot wide dock. It's a beautiful cabin on one of the most beautiful coves on 'one of the most beautiful man-made lakes in the world'. ~National Geographic Magazine.

This is a NO PETS property. It is new and the floors are soft pine, and easily scratched. No Please, NO PETS. Thank you.

Many friends and former Guests have all asked, "what can we do to help?" Well, that answer is; come to the area, eat at the local restaurants, tip the heck out of the Waite staff, and go over to the Tryon International Equestrian Center where many of the Chimney Rock Merchants have set up shop to sell their merchandise. My wife and I went over there last week with 14 of our friends to Christmas shop. It was great because all of Chimney Rocks shops are now all in one location.

It's fall in the Mountains, and despite the devastation, is still beautiful.

Wonderful house!

Despite the lake being empty, we enjoyed our stay in the house. It was clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. We will have to come back when the lake is full!

Great experience! While we were disappointed we weren't able to fully enjoy Lake Lure (due to the recovery from Helene), we were happy to come visit the area and support the local businesses while they work to rebuild. The property was convenient to many attractions and activities and Bob is an A host.

Very cute modern log cabin. I am very happy to say i saw a couple dusty web strands but no bugs/spiders at all! The cabin is modern as in well sealed and insulated from temperature and noise and bugs. The wood work inside is absolutely beautiful! And the air conditioning worked great. Roomy, spacious, and worked out well for us. Main floor is a master bedroom with attached bathroom and two more bedrooms wirh a common full bath. There is also a nice recreation room downstairs with a foosball table, pool table, ping pong table and hockey table along with couches and lots of windows. It also has a dock although at the moment the lake is drained. That created no issue for as we weren't there for the lake but something to be aware of until its dealt with. It also has a barbecue and dining table outside and the cabin is fully stocked with utensils including BBQ.All in all a great relaxing 'base camp for us and i would highly recommend.

Wonderful log cabin in a cove with everything you could want or need for a perfect getaway!! Highly recommend, host was super helpful as was Lake Lure Adventures coordinating a boat for our stay!

Lake visit

First time to Lake Lure. The breakfast was a very nice touch. We didn't use the lower level or the canoe/kayak but enjoyed floating in the cove.

Great get away

I highly recommend this property, it is exactly what you see in the photos and description! It was the cleanest rental I have ever stayed in and that means so much to my family. We felt right at home, had everything we needed at the house to cook. The dock was amazing!! Don't miss you opportunity to rent this gem!

House is really good for a family or group. Water toys at dock and game room in basement are a plus for this property. Driveway is a little tough getting out due to lines of sight and mattress in all three bedrooms need to be replaced.

Bob more than accommodating! Answered when I called. Kids loved the Wi-Fi. Cabin was clean. The down stairs was a great space to hang out. We will definitely renting from Bob again. We loved it!

Family Summer Vacation

We had a wonderful time with our family at Lake Lure this past week! With all the amenities and supplies we could possibly need, Bob's place was perfect. We were able to cook meals, enjoy outdoor spaces like the deck and dock, and the game area in the basement was perfect for rainy afternoons and/or evenings. From ages 6-76, we couldn't have asked for a better place for our week together! Highly recommend.

Lovely cabin in Lake Lure

It would have been nice if u could have gone down stairs from inside the house. The porch needed the spiderwebs removed. Overall we enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very nice and clean inside. The free breakfast was very nice. We would definitely stay again.

Outdoor Adventure

Lake Lure is beautiful. This home had all the amenities we needed for a wonderful stay - plenty of room and very clean. We used the canoe to fish, we relaxed on the dock and in the water, we had a pool tournament in the game room, and we explored the Asheville area. Chimney Rock, Gorges State Park, DuPont Forest and Mount Mitchell did not disappoint. Thank you Bob!

Cabin was very comfortable, well stocked. The property owner helped out in a couple of situations. Enjoyed meeting him. No reflection on where we stayed but wished we had a house on the main body of water at Lake Lure.

Amazing Christmas vacation

Lake lure took a big hit to the storm. But this cabin had all we needed to keep us occupied during our stay. Restaurants and some shops are open. Loved how everyone is so open to helping each other. House was so lovely, owner was very accommodating. Anytime I had a question. I texted him personally. He responded very quickly. I highly recommend this house. We will come back.

Lake House Dream

My son and I usually stay in Chimney Rock- but due to the destruction of Chimney Rock that was not possible- we decided to stay in Lake Lure to help the community. This Lake House was such a cool change for us. There is a whole floor devoted to games like pool, ping pong and foosball. My 14 year old loved this. We spent a lot of time playing. The house itself is quite lovely. It was super clean and didn’t feel like a rental. The furniture is rustic with a southwestern vibe which I loved.The living room is cozy and looks out into the lake. The kitchen is well appointed and a great size. The bedrooms are super comfy and dark which is great for a good nights sleep. We sure would love to come back again when it gets warmer! This is really a wonderful place to stay

Great Cabin on the Lake!

My family had a great time at this cabin! It was in a very small and quiet cove where my kids jumped off thw dock, swam and rode the kayak around! We rented a boat for the family and my husband had a blast fishing on Lake Lure! We even saw a baby black bear across the way from our house. Bob was very quick at responding to my questions and helping us out! It was a great time and will definitely be back in the future!

Short excellent getaway

We were just a hour away from home but felt like we were hours. The house had everything you needed for an excellent vacay. Bob, the host, was perfect with communication. Everytime I needed something he responded quickly. Having this first mornings breakfast ready for you was also amazing. The cabin was cozy, well stocked with coffee and other amenities. Basement had a huge playroom with pool table, ping pong and tv. The only bathroom shower that is walk in is in the basement (down multiple steps) but the other two are step overs. (No worries just be aware). House also has three kayaks and all supplies to use them. My family will definitely be renting this cabin again. Beautiful views!!!!

Lovely stay at Lake Lure

We had a lovely 2 week stay at Lake Lure! Bob was great to work with on our rental. The guys enjoyed a couple of canoe fishing trips & fishing off the dock. We spent a lot of time on the deck since the weather was so pleasant. All bedrooms on the main floor (street level) of the cabin as are 2 bathrooms. The third bathroom is located in the basement rec room stocked with pool table, ping pong, tv & seating accessible by stairs outside that also go to the dock. We had a visit from a bear two mornings so be sure to check your surroundings when you venture out & make yourself aware of bear safety. It’s the mountains of North Carolina and they live there year round!! Lots to do in the area-Asheville is an easy drive an hour away, closer the flowering bridge, & Chimney Rock, Tryon, Saluda, Pearson’s Falls, & Hendersonville. Would love to return in the fall, I’m certain it’s spectacular!! Thanks Bob!!
