We really liked the bed and the breakfast. We didn't like the very uncomfortable furniture. We didn't like having to request the room be cleaned (don't understand that).

Our air conditioner seemed to be preset to 74! We sweat all night and staff acted like they were already aware and couldn’t do anything about it. Parking is very tight with no ability to drive around the building and back out when the lot is full. Spots were super tight and difficult to open car doors.

Everything was okay, until at 2:58am the fire alarm at the hotel went off. We had to get out the hotel & the fire trucks never came. Finally the night manager shut the alarm & we all went back in the hotel. Not a good sleep after that.

I was about to give the entire experience a 10 until the last night. At about 4:00 a.m. in the morning the fire alarm for the entire hotel went off. The guests all evacuated the building and had waited outside for about 10 minutes .No one representing the hotel had come out to address the guests concerning the problem. My wife called 911 only to find out that the alarm had not been reported to the fire department.Once the fire department arrived they found the mechanical room had overheated causing a burning smell.15 minutes later the building was cleared to re-enter.Whoever was in charge that evening was not very responsible. No allowance towards the cost of our stay was mentioned the following morning during check out.

Great place to stay for easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Clean, modern, friendly staff. Large grocery store next door for last minute needs. Try the nearby Moose Cafe for home style cooking. Our fourth stay here.
