beautiful location

The loft was lovely inside but the views to outside were spectacular. Comfortable beds and lots of room to move around. Would definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay, it was everything we needed. A place in the woods, close to hikes and beautiful sunsets (and nature, we really enjoyed seeing the mama bear and two cubs running around in the driveway) but also close enough to go in a explore the city. Being able to bring our two dogs made it even better. We would love to be able to come back again sometime as two days in Asheville was not quite enough, but we thoroughly enjoyed our time there and had everything we needed.

Wonderful Asheville Girls Getaway

The Artist’s Mountain Retreat was a wonderful, cozy home away from home. Clean and comfy, close to downtown Asheville! The kitchen was well equipped and we ate in several times. A wonderful time was had by all.

A quick weekend in Asheville

A friend and I stayed here during a weekend of trout fishing, mountain biking, and exploring town. It was an enjoyable stay off the beaten path. The host was friendly and easy to communicate with.

Spring getaway

We enjoyed the spaciousness of our trip Jace and that it was tucked away just outside of town where it was quiet but close by car to anything you wanted to do. Great to have WiFi and had everything we needed. Ashville is a wonderful place and the scenery is excellent in any direction. Loved the RAD district and Biltmore tour and Blue Ridge Parkway.

Beautiful close to downtown

The owners are friendly, informative and kind. Lovely space to stay in. Sat on the porch in the evening. Drove up the road to beautiful Mountain View’s. Love Weaversville! This was a relaxing and convenient place to stay!!!

Wonderful Stay in a Beautiful Loft!

Robert was personable and accommodating. The loft was perfect for my daughter and I. The decor was artistic and tasteful and the amenities were just what we needed. The location was close enough to everything we needed but just far enough to be quiet and in nature. The view of the skies and trees through the windows was amazing. We will definitely choose to stay there again when back in the area.

New Year's get away

Great location. Much needed...quiet and peaceful after the Christmas chaos! Enjoyed the bread left by the host. Unfortunately we missed an opportunity for the glass blowing tour. Maybe we can catch it next time. I would definitely stay here again!

Great little spot a quick drive to downtown Asheville ands its many shops and restaurants.

The loft space is nice with two bedrooms, a living room, a small den with a tv and a kitchen that was easily workable for two people. The deck is nice and has a gas grill that we didn’t get around to using. We did spend some time each evening sitting out there enjoying snacks, wine and peace and quiet. We went to a few of the wineries in the area and enjoyed good food wherever we ate. And Asheville is very pet friendly so my friend’s little dog had a good stay also. It was a “bucket list” trip for both of us and if we decide another visit is in order we would definitely check to see if this space is available.

It is a very clean, quiet setting. Owners are very nice. The setting is peaceful. We would stay again. The space is very open. The natural light coming through the windows is something we enjoyed very much. The beds were comfortable. We had not expected the openness of the ceilings between the bedrooms and kitchen, but this wasn't a big deal for us either since we were with our children. We realized that we were more of a 2-bathroom group at times, but we made do, and it was still a nice stay. The USB ports in the bedrooms was nice and needed. Thank you to the owners for the nice accommodations.

This loft was fantastic for our two-night, last minute, getaway. It rained a good portion of our visit, but it forced us to sit and just “be” for a little while. Other reviews note that the walls do not go all the way to the ceiling, however, this was not an issue for my spouse and I. I enjoyed the openness! The ONLY downside to this place is the lack of service. Other than that, it was clean, dog friendly, had awesome WiFi, washer and dryer, and it was close to everything we wanted to do! This is the first place I’ve ever booked where the owners live nearby/on the property because I try to shy away from those listings. However, even though they were home, they kept to themselves and were extremely friendly- we met them both on our way out. We hope to book this place again in the very near future!

Visiting Ashland

We have stayed at many VRBO's, this one was super for the 2 of us. Brand new outdoor grill and back deck furniture. Super comfortable, firm beds and couches. Kitchen well equipped for cooking...included some basic spices, teas and coffee too. Unit has a heating and a/c unit mounted to a wall up high, so not central heat air...but totally adequate. As such, the 2 bedrooms walls do not extend to the ceiling to allow for air flow. Works well, but depending on people in your group, it may not work. All in all, we loved our stay. We would recommend this unit to others and plan to stay again during our next visit to Ashville. Super friendly and responsive owner that helped us with one issue immediately.

Wonderful and Restful Retreat (with all amenities)!

A relaxing retreat north of Asheville, filled with all the amenities and conveniences one may want during a vacation. I was there for R&R with a pet and found I never went to downtown Asheville as the natural beauty of the area and the close access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and local hiking trails called to me. I stayed a week and was grateful for the quiet guest house and the respectful and gracious hosts. Just an aside: As the hosts note, realize that this is the rural mountains and your cellular phone may not have service. Check with your carrier if this is important….the host cannot “control” this aspect. The Wi-Fi was spectacular and fit my personal and professional needs. Also reiterating that the hosts expect crating of your pet while you are away. Again, this was prudent and not an issue for me. Also bring a flashlight and be cautious outdoors at night. This is bear country and they prowl the neighborhood trash cans at night. All being said, to me, the pros of this modern abode outweighed any concerns.

Fantastic property, great attention to detail.

Quiet little loft tucked away a short distance from town. Perfect space for a anniversary getaway with my husband. Bob makes gorgeous glass sculptures and is happy to share his talents in his studio.
