There is always good and bad when staying in the hotels. First time for me in a Moxy.
On the plus side, quick checkin, car park right next to the hotel. Decent room size (stayed in a suite). Ample storage for clothes. Breakfast was OK, not a bad selection, and decent quality. Then the downside, No access to the HDMI/USB ports on the TV, real bug bear of mine, so you are left with a couple of terrestrial channels to watch. Really simple thing to fix, but they fail to take customers requirements in to consideration. I was given the impression the car parking costs would be £12 for a 24 hour period, although the hotel validated the ticket, the cost came in at £48 for less that 48 hours. That is ridiculous in my book. Taxis would have worked out cheeper for me. The air-con in the room didn't provide a cool option, and was stuck on 24 degrees, it was roasting despite the outside being below 10 degree. The windows did open, so that helped to an extent. Wouldn't want to stay there in the hotter months of the year. The bar staff although friendly, didn't bring much to the stay. Service was slow even though there was enough staff, felt like they where just hanging around even when there was a queue at the bar. Probably wouldn't stay again, primarily because of the TV situation, I book suites because after walking around cities, having dinner, I like to go back to my room and relax, stick on a movie or whatever with my SkyGo app. I couldn't do that, so was stuck with the news.
