"This hotel was not my first choice. It was the only place with accommodation during the period of my visit. Expedia and the hotel web site state check-in is at or after 4:30PM. "What a beautiful hotel! This was a welcome respite from our hectic travel schedule in Italy. Set about 1 mile from the center of Pietrelcina, you feel like you are away in the heart of farm lands. The views are amazing- olive trees and rolling hills. This family run facility is top notch on service too. They cooked us a wonderful meal for dinner too. Would highly recommend this hotel!"

"We booked a room, showed up before checkin time and they were not operating yet for the season. Mistakes happen, so we weren’t too upset as we found a nearby room at Hotel Portobello . The groundskeeper told us to get a refund thru Expedia. Expedia contacted the hotel, the hotel denied our refund. They said we didn’t cancel within the cancelation time frame?? This place is such a scam. I do not recommend unless you want to risk losing your money. "
