Anna and her girls are wonderful.... very friendly and helpful!! Definitely would return and suggest to others. Small only 6 rooms .... so we found the other guest delightful. We were all of the same mindset. Love this hotel, it has a beautiful view and great birding.

A terrific boutique hotel.
We had a great stay. So peaceful and calm with a wonderful view. The staff was very accommodating and did everything they could to make our stay memorable. Would highly recommend.

This hotel is fabulous and great value for money. The views from the rooms are outstanding, the decking is lovely to sit on and relax and the bed was really comfortable. The ladies who run it are lovely and breakfast was the best we have had so far in Costa Rica, and all cooked fresh. I highly recommend this hotel.

Exceptional property! The view of the lake is breath taking and the food was 5 star across the board. Easy access to La Fortuna, the mystic bridges and hiking at Arenol. Don’t be afraid to ask for local information. Would recommend or return!

Milena and her husband are truly wonderful people who shared their little gem with anyone who stays over and you just don’t want to leave. This place is truly special I strongly recommend. I have travel all over the world and this place had the best hospitality and food for a reasonable price. We extend our stayed and can’t wait to be back again :)

We had a one night stay here and it was wonderful! I had my family of 6 and got 3 rooms. I would say this was one of the most unique places I've ever stayed. I think the prop manager was off the day we arrived and I'm pretty sure the owner greeted us and kindly showed us around and introduced us to the cats. The free breakfast was AMAZING and I really can't get over how kind everyone was. I am surprised there aren't more reviews, they deserve it. You can tell and feel how much thought and care went into every detail. 10/10 would stay again.

This property is insanely beautiful. We loved sitting on the patio and laughing all night. We woke up to the most amazing view that just made us so happy. What a way to start the morning!! The breakfast was freshly cooked and so good. The yogurt and fruit parfait was my favorite and the bacon and cheese empanada is what my other half can't stop talking about! Delicious and fresh. Great stay and would highly recommend this as a stop on your vacation!

Exceptional place to recharge and let go. It was a much needed escape from this hustle 'n bustle/ big city life dweller. Everything was stunning Highly recommend a stat here and eating at the restaurants on toucan lane at the bottom of the hill

LOVELY location tucked away on hillside overlooking Lake Arenal. Individual bungalows are chic, comfortable and private. Hosts are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast included-delicious. We also had dinner here one night and it was excellent. As an avid birder, I spent a lot of time on our balcony in amazement at the sheer number of birds and the morning birdsong. Used as a base for local day trips and to Arenal Volcano and Monteverde. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Great place to relax and recharge!
Very friendly owners who are hands-on in check in, restaurant service, and check out. Could see the lake and a large variety of birds, mostly small and medium sized. The food and drink was really good, all meals.

This was the most lovely stay I've ever had in a hotel. Ever. It was amazing from the view to the accommodations to the staff. The owner is welcoming and happy to make your stay comfy. Just be aware that this location is very remote. Bring whatever you need in the way of food and drinks. Only breakfast is open. There are a few restaurants down the big hill but within walking distance that satisfied our want for wine and dinner. Overall you just can't beat this price for what this place offers. It was incredible.

This is absolutely a gem! The view of the hills and the lake from the room is breathtaking. Each of the 6 units are facing the lake Arenal. The property has a beautiful landscaping and a great layout to enjoy your stay. You wake up to birds' sounds in the morning and enjoy the relaxing evenings on the porch with the sunset view. The complete hot breakfast in the morning was awesome. Within 0.5 hr, you can drive to all of the nearby attractions including the La Fortuna waterfall, hot springs, and Arenal volcano. The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. Anna is a superb host. She manages the kitchen and other requests during your stay. She really cares about the guests and makes sure they have everything they need for an awesome stay. We absolutely enjoyed our time here and will definitely go back to Costa Rica just to stay here again :)

These bungalows are awesome! Super clean, comfortable and they look exactly like the photos. The view from your private deck overlooks Lake Arenal as well as a ranch with cows grazing during the day. The owners are some of the nicest people I’ve met. The food was delicious and I highly recommend the tenderloin! You will need 4x4 to get up the hill. No air conditioning (it’s not needed) and no TV! Prepare to unplug and enjoy the beauty from your bed or large deck. Star gazing at night os unbelievable! Not suitable for children. We look forward to going back!

This place is amazing. We really enjoyed to stay here, it has an amazing view, it is clean. The owner (Ana) is a wonderful person. We had the breakfast every morning, very tasty food and coffee. I will go back one day and I recommend this place with confidence.

Honestly, this place is amazing. The owners are lovely and the breakfasts each morning are absolutely delicious. We had freshly made juice, tea or coffee, fantastic porridge with fruits, and then a cooked breakfast. The bungalows were very clean, comfortable, and with stunning views. There are several restaurants down the road which is about a 5 min walk. Try the toucan restaurant the food is good and the people running it are great! All in all we would opt for this place over anything in la Fortuna.

We loved every thing about our stay at Hotel Laguna Arenal. Bastien and Ana Melena were helpful yet discreet. Our room was modern and cozy and had an panoramic view of the lake and tree canopy - perfect for birdwatching. Spending each morning drinking excellent coffee on the deck while watching toucans in nearby trees made it hard to leave the room to take advantage of the wonderful activities in the area, but I’m glad we did. Hiking at Arenal Volcano National Park, a night hike with Allen that our hosts arranged for us, and time at the hot springs were all great. When our days of activities were done, we appreciated returning to a quiet, nature-focused space away from touristy La Fortuna. Finally, I was nervous about traveling to Costa Rica during the Green (rainy) Season. Though my phone weather app made it look like it was raining all day, every day, it was generally at night, and never stopped us from doing anything. July was a great time to visit Arenal.

This is a small bungalow hotel with 6 rooms (bungalows) each with a large balcony and a fantastic view over the hills, woods and lago Arenal. Breathtaking. The owner’s of the hotel are very personal. Breakfast is made fresh to order and includes an excellent home made fruit yogurt and a freshly hime made fruit juice. The rooms are modern in style, beds are good and comfy and all is very clean. Overall a gem in tropical rain and cloud forest area of Arenal.

Where to start! Amazing views, food, comfort, and the most wonderful hosts! Ana, Sebastian, and their team go out of their way to make your stay perfect. The modern bungalows offer privacy and relaxation with most serene views, sure to make you feel at home. Ana along with her team prepare the most decadent breakfasts each day, and if you can, make sure to reserve a spot for dinner, you will not regret! All I can say is my wife and I will be back next time we’re in Costa Rica!
