Nothing bad to say about the staff.... That said, this place was very dirty. I don't think they really ever clean it. Some examples: The floor was so dirty our feet were brown. The walls had goop on them The lamp had a layer of dust that showed they never cleaned it. I would rather stay in my car than here again.

Nothing special, but nice enough
Motel row place. Really okay. Friendly check in. Nothing at all special about breakfast, but certainly better than nothing! Coffee available at the mall a block away is worth the walk and charge. Comfortable bed and pillows. Everything worked.

Hotel is off the beaten path but is in a good area with lots of local shopping around. The breakfast was good and well stocked. If your looking for just a room it’s perfect.

Overall the room was really clean. The wax ring in the toilet was leaking and water from it was getting the floor pretty wet. The shower nozzle bracket was broken for people with upright stature. The one for disabled guests was the one that was unbroken. We let the staff know about both problems, but they didn’t seem to concerned.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HOTEL
Nobody at front desk to check me in, took forever to find someone, COCKROACHES in room, I killed 3 and I'm sure there were more and to make matters worse, when it got cold, I turned on the heater and I kid you not, it smelled like someone had urinated into the heater. It filled the room with the smell of hot urine and it was so strong I had to vacate the room. When I returned hours later, it still stunk. I spent two days avoiding going into my hotel room. When I told the one staff member about it, she just smiled and kept saying 'OK'. She obviously didn't speak English so she had no idea what I was telling her. Room needed to be totally re-furbished. I've stayed at lots of Wyndham hotels, this one needs to be condemned.

This was supposed to be a two night stop on a road trip which turned into one night and we got out of there as fast as we could. The room was ok but the doorknobs and remote for the tv and other surfaces were sticky. The toilet didn’t flush unless you took the lid off the back of it. But while those are things we can be ok with, what we weren’t ok with was an older guy (guest) who was filming my daughter in the swimming pool. He was sneaky about it and as soon as we realized, we got out of there. We notified management who didn’t do anything. We called Expedia and they were super helpful. We got our money back for the night we didn’t stay and got a different hotel very quickly.

Great for overnight stay
Check in was easy. Stayed 1 night in a room with two beds and a sofa bed. Room was big and spacious. Used the pool to tire the kiddos. Breakfast in the morning was just right. Waffles, cereal, fruit, juice, muffins, bagels, and of course coffee. Quiet area. If I'm ever driving through Arcata again, I will definitely stay there.

Nice front desk staff, had a pool, and a decent continental breakfast. I needed to use the laundry machine while there, and they were out of soap. I guess another company runs their machines. I had to go to the store to get soap. I felt safe in the area, and it was clean. It was a fine stay, and the price reflected that.

Other guests were very loud. There were several issues in my room that need attention. Sink and toilet lid were cracked, bathroom door needs to be replaced and the hair dryer was broken.

ok for short stay
We weren't planning on spending a lot of time in the room, so we picked a "cheaper" place. Breakfast was good and included. The beds were comfortable. Bathroom sort of clean. Hair in corners of bathroom floor. Sink cracked. Didn't need towels washed every day, they picked them up anyway. Left an article of clothing behind, called 15 min after leaving to let hem know we would be back. Housekeeping must have kept it, because we didn't get it back when we came by 4 hours later.

Awful stay. Do not recommend.
Room was not very clean. Hair in the bathtub. Towels were ripped, tattered, small, and so rough and scratchy. We hated staying there.

Our room was supposedly a king bed room and it was the same size as our Queen at home. The room had random furniture (extra night stand) it looked like it was a double queen room but they removed one. The frige had a loud humming noise witch made us have to turn up the tv to hear it. The peoe up stairs stomped all night long. Woke us up too many times. I wont be back.

This could easily be a much nicer place.
Toilet needed cleaning. Night stand had crumbs on top, used latex gloves left on counter. Not the worst place and the desk was very friendly but not a great experience.

The beds are comfortable and they offer fresh waffles. Managing staff is welcoming. However, the rooms are filthy...from the furniture, walls and floors. The grounds have trash all over. The preference for a free breakfast would to have some protein options and real creamer for the coffee, as well as decaf.
