Being in a room up in the roof gave the room a different shape which was slightly unique and gave the room a cosy feel. Otherwise everything was normal.
Rooms were very nice and cozy. Staff very friendly and food was really good too.. Would definitely recommend.. Stayed for a night as at a show at Webster theatre which was just across the road. Perfect..
Convenient town centre location, have stayed several times now. Very reasonable rates and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Decent included breakfast too. Will be back.
Hospitable throughout. Note there is noise from seagulls -- that is just part of this pretty town. Cannot rate as 5 stars because guestroom very tiny.

Clean and warm standard room, and very pleasant staff. Food good although very limited non-cooked breakfast: two cereals, no soft fruits or yogurts, orange the only juice. Overall therefore somewhat overpriced.
Room a bit small, not much space between foot of the bed and the wall. I caught my toe a few times on the leg of the bed, good breakfast.

We did not like the noisy seagulls. Being in the 3rd floor, we opened the rooftop windows and then realized there was poop inside the windows - they could fly in. Also, the towels were line dried and terribly scratchy. The walls thin so we heard our neighbors talking. The good: an elavator and dinner in their restaurant. The staff were very helpful- the amenities not so for the price .
This is a very nice hotel in Arbroath, conveniently located in the downtown area, so an easy walk to many of the sights. Take the hotel’s recommendation about the earplugs, though. The seagulls create quite the racket during the night!
Staff was very friendly and helpful even the cleaners was chatting to you, which was very nice I thought you don't have that very often the place was spotless.
Pleasantly surprised with Arbroath as a coastal town. Hotel was well located, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fine. Would have liked to be able to open a window to let some cool air in as no air conditioning, but that’s just a small issue.
this was a very good hotel centrally placed floorboards squeaky but earplugs supplied very friendly staff food good but no car park it cost 4 pound a day in local car park
Visiting family in the area. The welcome upon arriving at the hotel from Susan was warm and friendly. Room clean and comfortable. Food plentiful and delicious. Will definitely be staying with them again.
Although at first it seemed that the people of Arbroath were not as friendly as other cities we had visited in the UK, the staff of the hotel were exceedingly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and warm and the free breakfast was modern and delicious.
This is the 2nd time we've stayed at The Townhouse. Excellent value hotel, rooms are not huge but ample. Staff are very friendly and make you very welcome
Check in was fast and prompt by Stuart . Room ready early so was a bonus . Sampled the to die for cocktails ( Stuart again ) amazing breakfast. Only downside bed was rather small and watch your toes on bed legs !
Hôtel très sympathique, plein de charme et Très bien situé.
La chambre est spacieuse, le lit très confortable et la salle de bain était neuve.
Le personnel est très accueillant. Petit dej super .
