Quaint and Luxurious Cottage overlooking Doolin and the Aran Islands
Doolin
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (4 reviews)
"Pros: - beautiful interior design has a luxurious yet cozy feel - warm and comfy, a great getaway from the winter storms outside - walls of windows make for an amazing view - all the amenities you need for your stay (we cooked, made coffee, listened to music on their Bluetooth speaker, took a bath) - short walk/drive to a convenience store/gas station - finding it was easy with Google maps (but there’s no signage otherwise) Cons - none! It’s lovely!"

Aran Islands attractions for couples

The Aran Islands offer a rich tapestry of experiences that cater perfectly to adventurous travellers seeking quality and authenticity. Begin your exploration at the awe-inspiring Cliffs of Moher, where dramatic views and the roar of the Atlantic create an unforgettable backdrop for family photos. Delve into the history of the islands with a visit to the ancient fort of Dun Aonghasa, perched on a cliff edge; the sheer drop to the sea below is a thrill for both parents and children alike. For those who appreciate local culture, the Aran Sweater Market provides a chance to browse hand-knit woollen goods while learning about the island's textile heritage. Outdoor enthusiasts will relish cycling around Inis Meain, where rugged landscapes and ancient ruins offer ample opportunities for exploration and discovery. Finally, don't miss the chance to indulge in fresh seafood at one of the local bistros, where the catch of the day is often served with a stunning view of the harbour. For accommodation, consider staying in Kilronan, the main village on Inis Meain, where charming hotels provide a blend of comfort and traditional Irish hospitality, allowing you to unwind after a day of adventure.
