"great valiue place Sunday to Wednesday in this very remote loaction of Portugal - there is not so much to do, good Restaurants are rare but the hotel offers indoor and outdoor pool, Hamam and quite good breakfast selection (included in all rates)
Downside: even it's so remote they try to charge 7,5€/day for parking - very strange way to collect extra money (would be easier in pool towels rental or breakfast extra) as outside in the streets it's free of charge...."

"Municipal Thermal baths partly out of work, due to recent flooding. Hotel staff did not inform us of that, nor did Baths personnel. Hotel is in rundown condition with limited services available. Front staff is friendly but this property barely deserves a 3 star, let alone 4. "
"Our 3 nights stay here was incredible. The owner is open and friendly, warm and welcoming. The room is immaculate, with attention to detail and a complimentary bottle of Vinho Verde. The pool is well situated, clean and warm in the evening. The breakfast is a fantastic spread of traditional and contemporary foods (their daily cake is to die for!). "The experience was incredible good. We traveled driving from Porto to ACoruña. And stayed here for two days. The first and last of our trip. We travel a lot and this place really was a good experience. Perfect and simple design with great attention to details. The cleaning is immaculate . We have the opportunity meeting the owner. Amazing hard worker guy. Excellent team. We definitely recommend Alma Candida 100 percent. Small place but warm, quiet and again, very clean. We will come back . Thanks Joao. "
"We stayed in the suites, which were huge. I think there’s only one on each floor. It was a lot of volume to cool, but the Air conditioning was able to work really well in one of our two rooms and it worked OK in the other. Considering that we were sleeping 4 people in each room, he should’ve had a better sofa bed. The slots were so bent and broken, and the mattress is only like 2 inches thick. My teenage son did not get a good nights sleep because of this. They were nice enough to bring a second 2 inch mattress making it thicker but it was still sagging. Considering these were suites of the hotel, they should have the nicest mattresses for the sofa bed. Then one of my other teenage son slept in the second night and his back and shoulder were sore for days. Property itself is beautiful with the swimming pool and the incredible views. The staff was nice. I think they just need to address the sofa bed issue. Sleep is usually the number one priority for travelers."
