"Breakfast was delicious - eggs, sausages, croissant or English muffins, cereal, pancakes - the works. Much nicer than the "Continental" breakfasts many hotels have. Hotel staff was very courteous, friendly and helpful. Check-in was fast and the staff member even upgraded us to a room with a hot-tub! (This was GREATLY appreciated after I got us lost on a hike and we ended up walking over 7 miles for 6 hours while birding, and our sore muscles NEEDED that hot soak!) The room was clean and quiet. Many thanks to the staff of Stoney Creek Inn in Galena, IL!"

"Really needs good cooking utensils. Had to wait over a half hour to get in because Cleaning crew was still there. Having a list of where things are located would have been very helpful, such as cushions for outside chairs place where we could get more firewood, etc. We loved the atmosphere."

"Loved the breakfast, we thought the EV charger was a free perk for staying there. We also noticed the shower floor tends to drip lots of water and that may be an issue in future regarding any water going to lower level. Mattress was a bit too soft and moves a lot during the night as you change positions. Overall we loved the place and would come back but likely stay in a lower unit"
