Perfect hotel in town. Easy parking in the back of the hotel. Very friendly, clean beautiful rooms. Very good breakfast included with our rooms. Waking distance to everything in town. One of my favorite places to visit as i grew up spending my summers near that area as a child. Will always return as long as i can. Beautiful area for hiking as well.

Within walking distance to train station and centrally located to walk and enjoy Appenzell. Breakfast was included which was enjoyable.

Loved the Hotel Appenzell!

The hotel was wonderful! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the dinner was so good we ate there twice. We would definitely stay there again.

What a quaint, adorable hotel in the village of Appenzell!! We couldn't be happier! The hotel is right in the heart of town. It has an old feel to it, but the bathroom and everything is nicely updated. We had free breakfast with ours, which was much more than what I expected--nice spread of meats, appenzeller cheeses, granolas, breads, etc. They also have a restaurant with exceptional foods. We loved everything about our stay and will recommend it to everyone!!

This was the perfect hotel to stay in, as it was right in the heart of Appenzell and made everything accessible by foot. Bonus points for the parking lot for our rental car.

Nice hotel in busy tourist town

The hotel was nice and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. There is no air-conditioning and the weather was hot, so the room was uncomfortable. The second day we asked forva fan, and they brought us a small one that was partially broken, butbit did help. The location was fine, on a main square, close to the restaurants, but a 8-10 minute walk to the teain station, our primary transportation. They had a wonderful breakfast available, and the restaurant was quite good for dinner as well.

Been to Switzerland years ago and not too many little towns left. Cute area. The room was small (it is an old place). The traditionally swiss hotel. The bathroom was done over. Clean. Was just there 1 night, so was ok. Beds were hard and pillows flat. Had nice room though overlooking the front. Was quiet. Grounds are cute. You can eat outside in front or around the side. Restaurant downstairs was good. People were nice that worked there. We were off season, so not too many people in town. Not much to see. Few shops around. Walked everywhere. Good hiking. Everything closes early like most places in Switzerland.

This hotel was in a great location. It was a combination of traditional decor but the bathroom was modernized and it was all very clean. Breakfast was great and everyone was very nice.
