Service was horrible from the time we checked in until we left. Bars were not open when said to be and didn’t have drinks or foods available as stated. We were treated like we were a nuisance and ignored most of the time. Outside the resort everyone was friendly and welcoming. I will be contacting Hyatt personally in regards to this property considering we paid for 5 star and barely received 1-2 star. There was animal poop on the sidewalks that was never washed off. Even around the swim out pools. Phone didn’t work in room. It was absolutely miserable. I would never recommend this secrets to anyone. We have stayed at secrets in other places and was always fantastic. NOT THIS ONE!!!!! Do Not Waste your Time or money!

This property was not as expected at all. The staff were very unprofessional. The property was not maintained at all grass was high and not treated. Iguana and cat poop on walking paths and around private swim out area . The pool was not cleaned and iquana sitting tail in the pool . The food was horrible ( 1 not 5 restaurants as advertised Rooms were not properly cleaned and when softly mentioning to management they shift blame and stated ( you are in nature )As if these conditions should be expected Horrible experience at such an expensive price !

We stayed at the property for my April birthday celebration. I’ve stayed at other Secrets properties and this location does need some work. We learned it would be closing for renovations and would revisit again once completed. The area is beautiful and somewhat secluded. The beach was lovely, clean and there were no issues getting chairs, etc. Our garden view room was cleaned every day with clean sheets, etc. Snacks refilled, fresh towels and good shower pressure, no issues there. It’s not an action filled location - there were nightly music entertainers, we had opted for a relaxing time with no children or spring breakers and so it was just perfect for us. Loved the fact it was quiet. Security was always visible - we felt safe. Food was good - and we had a lovely birthday romantic evening dinner on the beach. Excellent service and time. Staff was friendly especially in the market cafe area and towel distribution areas. Older bartender Kenny by the pool area looked unhappy during our entire stay! The one negative I’ll mention - I went for an early morning run on the beach and coming back I noticed that the pool hadn’t been cleaned from the day before as there was still sand from folks rinsing their feet on the edge of it. No one else was around. The water/shower pipes were not working during our stay. I also think they were a bit short staffed. Overall a nice relaxing stay. I’m sure it will be phenomenal once it reopens after its facelift! 😊

Our room was beautiful, spacious and clean. The staff was awesome and went above and beyond to make us happy. Food and drinks were average. Property is in need of a massive renovation. Pool was filthy everyday. I wouldn't stay again, no water views from any room.

They say "a picture is worth a thousand words." You will never get a more picturesque resort that has it all...turquoise waters, located at the center of the cove, mountains, beach, its got it all. Large pool with bar, lots of eating options with quality choices, swim up patio room was great for some quiet privacy, live entertainment each evening, and the café was a great way to end the evenings. Property is dated, but still a wonderful choice to enjoy a relaxing vacation. Heard it is scheduled for a make over that will take place over the next 2 years, can't wait...we will definately be back!

We visited several beaches in St Martin, St Maarten and St. Barts on this trip, and the place we stayed was the most quite and secluded. We never saw more than 0-3 people on the beach in the mornings which we loved. The pool was festive during the day and the place and shows shut down around 10:30 which we also loved. The staff was friendly and we couldn't understand why they only had 7.5 stars. We loved it!

The grounds around the resort were dirty, and the breakfasts were cold. The food options were limited and although what they had was tasty, it didnt meet up to other resorts we have been to. We stayed here befoe when it was a Riu. No comparison! Riu has the upper hand

Limited dining and the property is very run down. It looks like it got flooded and hit by a hurricane and they did not fix or update the property. It’s clean and the staff is amazing.

The location is beautifully surrounded on three sides by mountains and open to the blue ocean. However the first room had black mold in the bathroom and the bedroom, which looked as if it was previously painted over. You could smell the mold as soon as you walked into the room. The room with the walkout pool could not be used cause the water was always too cold, so it wasn't useful to take a dip or relax with the spouse. The food at all the restaurants was VERY disappointing. Poor selection, poor execution, and no taste. The best food was at the grill by the pool, this was unfortunate because good food is part of a great stay. I have stayed at several all-inclusive hotels and must say this was the worst food I had been served at any of them. I was told that they resort is being closed in six months for renovations which is great, but the wife and I agreed we couldn't return if the food selection doesn't take a drastic change. I don't know who the chef is but I don't think they show there inspired, my wife cooks way better and she's no chef. The staff overall was really great, attentive, and friendly. I would say this was the best staff collectively I have ever met.

This property is not on par with the other amazing Secrets Resorts - They only had 1 restaurant plus the Hibachi grill open each night - waiter services was not very consistent. Beach drink service was very limited.

What I like about the property that is was spacious the staff was very nice the helped with anything I needed help with but what I didn’t like is how slow it was to get my room I waited about 4 hours to get a room however when I got my room the room had a smell like it was mold & I could actually see black specs as if there was mold on the walls & door

What a fantastic experience! I will say, i was apprehensive about my visit to the site. The online reviews and first hand experience comments from friends made the resort sound very underwhelming. I understand the property was recently acquired by Hyatt, which could be the reason why the experience improved. Quality of food, service and the all-inclusive offerings made for an outstanding stay. My only *meh* was the beach area and the fact that boats dock a couple hundred yards from where you swim… however, once you are in the water, the view past the cove and over looking Anguilla is lovely.

The Resort was okay... Our room had mold spots on the walls. The hot water in the shower was not working is was pool water cold. The food/cuisine needed to be a little more relative to the culture. Better Entertainment. TV and WIFI was not adequate and the daily activities should be announced or displayed on the TV or tablet in the room.

We really did enjoy our stay. The location was spectacular, service was better with some people, hotel was clean, rooms were ok but the problem was the food. I think they would get people to return and better reviews, if they did a complete re do/ overhaul of their food.
