"The hostess was so sweet and kind. I asked if she could call a taxi for me on the day I checked out, and she not only called a taxi she knew who’s safe and reliable, but she also waited until I got on and saw me off. I really appreciate the kindness of people in Tainan!"

"We took the 4 people room, a sort of small duplex. The room was well equipped. Very cleaned and seemed freshly renovated. The staff was helpful, friendly and discrete. The hotel is not staffed all the time though. Management remains reachable through LINE if needed. "

"We enjoyed our short visit at The Brick. Our room was on the 1st floor which was convenient and they provided a parking space for us which was extremely helpful and thoughtful. The manager is very kind and helpful with local knowledge. We ate the a nearby beef soup place and famous milkfish restaurant all within walking distance from The Brick! Great location near the River and Anping district. "

"This is my first time visiting Tainan city. This hotel located in a very convenient location that I can easily rent a bike or walk to anywhere. And the neighbours are nice and quiet. There are also lots of Taiwanese style breakfast options near by. It is a very good location for people who wanted to experience local people life. It's across from the Anping local fresh grocery market. Very nice down to the earth with good food. However, I live in the room without widnow. So I wasn't able to tell if it's noise in the morning when people are shopping for groceries. Overall I love this place, very quiet at night and convenient for going to everywhere. To me all walkable distance. "
"The housekeeper was very kind, allowing us to use the parking space right outside and accommodating our later-than-expected arrival. However, the room allocated to us (Room F) was much shabbier than those in the pictures. For example, the electrical socket was hanging off the wall, there was a spaghetti mess of cables on the wall around the TV, water seeped through the shower cubicle partition into the bedroom, the fridge was dirty and the room was generally dusty. But we realised later in our stay that other rooms were in much better condition — looks like we drew the short straw.
For the benefit of future guests, please note that rooms are not automatically cleaned — you have to leave a note in reception before noon if you want your room serviced. (We didn’t realise this until it was too late.)"
"The property is great in general. However, the reception counter people do not seem to be professional. The previous day we borrowed bikes from their concierges and left our GPS holder on one of the bikes. The concierges found the holder and properly documented it for lost and found. The next morning when we were checking out, we asked the reception counter staff twice if they found our holder, and both times they told us no without checking the lost and found paperwork. As we were leaving, we asked the concierges outside and they took us to the reception counter located the holder and the paperwork."
