Beautiful Cottage!
My partner and I loved this place. It has so much distinct personality. Clean, charming and very homey feeling. A really nice little kitchen set up, lovely living area and cute bedrooms. The host (Sean) was welcoming and very responsive when the wifi wasn't working initially. He was kind and knowledgeable about the area and gave a great tip for a very nice walk nearby. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again or recommend it.

Annestown Stop
We were a group of four and needed a place to stay along the coast after driving down from Dublin. This was a perfect location and positioned us to do the Copper Coast next day. Quaint village in a good location to sight see SE Ireland
Accommodations were comfortable, dated, but useable. No amenities in Annestown but Tremore is a short drive. Very quiet here. Shawn was great. He gave us an excellent rundown of the local history as well as some useful tips for seeing Southern Ireland. Overall a comfortable 3 day stay.

The Highlight of our Ireland Trip
I have used VRBO extensively and Sean is by far the best host we have ever had. It's like staying with an old friend. The property was perfect, wish we had a longer stay in the area. Beach is very close, lots of local pubs, small town with everything 10 minutes away. Thank you Sean for sharing your little piece of heaven with us!

This was a perfect overnight stay. I wish we would have had more time at this property. It was comfortable and the host was helpful with suggestions for dinner as we had gotten in very late that day. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic. Utterly fantastic. Sean and his wife were just the best hosts. We sat on their patio and talked for hours. When staying in properties my wife and I always hope for those connections and every so often we strike gold. This was one of those lucky strikes. Great conversation and stories with a bargain of a property. Great cottage style home with 3 sizable bedrooms and cliff/beach views (across the street) that are phenomenal. If a connection is what you seek, look no further.

Beyond expectations
Our stay in Annestown was made so much better by staying at this cottage. Not only is it beautiful but it was made much more enjoyable with breathtaking views, the neighbors and especially Sean, the owner. Beautiful, isolated, close to the water. 3 bedrooms, 2 baths with a nice living area in a quiet town. Hosts are wonderful; breakfast was excellent!! Because its older, there were small issues with wifi, shower, etc. but for the price, it cannot be beat! Also cute and charming. For extras, they have a little library of books including travel books for Ireland as well maps and travel brochures/fliers for local things. The hosts were so sweet and full of kowledge about the local area. The nearby beach is really beautiful, with cliffs, sandy beach, small island, pirate caves, etc. Very close by Tramore which has a great tourist area including a Coney Island/fair-type set up, horseback riding, fishing, pubs, and live music. A few more miles is Waterford, which has everything you can want. We had a lovely time and we would love to go back and stay for longer!

It's hard to articulate just how beautiful Annestown is. Brown's cottage is an adorable and cozy home nestled between two gorgeous (and quite private) beaches. Our stay was tranquil and lovely and just perfect. Sean was the best host we've ever had the privilege of knowing. He sat with us at breakfast and told us fascinating facts about the town's history and also directed us towards the must see's of the town and surrounding areas. It was one of four stops on our honeymoon and it was by far our best experience to date. Thanks Sean!

It's a rustic old cottage in a tiny seaside village. As such it met my expectations. It's a cozy spot, in a quiet location. Sean is an excellent host, willing to share information regarding the area and ready with any advice about "what to see" when you visit. The offer of a traditional Irish Breakfast comes highly recommended, you'll not want for another meal the rest of the day. It was great to get out of the cookie cutter hotels for a change and live like a local person does. Don't expect a 5 Star hotel, although you'll receive 5 Star hospitality. Recommended.

Great little coastal town that is a bit off the beaten path. No pub in town, but not too far from Tramore. Beautiful scenery, including cliffs above the beach. Sean was a great host, and he gave us some helpful hints for the rest of our journey, leading us to visit two areas that we had not previously considered. Great place!

Reservations and all communication with Sean were quick and easy. This Peaceful Coastal Cottage was easy to find in this little village. Sean met us at the curb with keys and a tour. The cottage was clean and had everything that we needed. There was even a cute little personal welcome sign on the wall for our family. We were comfortable and warm during our stay. The village is quiet and we all slept wonderful! Sean made us a wonderful Irish breakfast in the morning. It was the best breakfast of our 2 weeks in Ireland....We did get explore the Copper Coast a little, but wish we had more time in the area. It is beautiful! We are looking forward to visiting again and will definitely stay again. Thank you to Sean and Sue for your company, conversations, and sharing your cottage rental with us.

Brown’s Cottage in Annestown was our 1st destination on our trip to Ireland. The accommodations were delightful - a quaint roomy cottage in an authentic seaside village. Sean, our host, was fabulous and an excellent ambassador for Waterford County. He provided us with precise directions and met us at the property to make sure we settled in. It was like meeting an old friend. He provided valuable tips on sightseeing and is a fabulous chef. He cooked an amazing breakfast for us each morning and spent time sharing his wealth of knowledge on Ireland. We spent two nights which allowed us time to explore Waterford, tour Waterford Crystal, see Hook Lighthouse and visit neighbouring villages. Tramore is a close village with amenities and pubs. This is a perfect destination if you are looking to experience authentic Irish hospitality. We highly recommend Brown’s Cottage. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit. Sean is an extraordinary host and will ensure your visit is special!

What a wonderful surprise this little gem was. Mike met us at the house when we arrived with a warm welcome and walked us through all the issues that are foreign to Americans, as the oil usage, on/off power supply for the stove and showers, etc. But we figured it all out and had a great time.
