The Yellow Cottage on Harness Creek

The minute you step into our charming waterfront cottage you will feel right at home!

Situated on Harness Creek, in a quiet residential neighborhood, the Yellow Cottage is a great place to 'get away from it all'. Recently renovated, our historic cottage has all of the modern day comforts to make your stay enjoyable. With the original heart pine floors and a huge farm sink in the kitchen, we have retained the feeling of a true waterfront cottage.

A cheerful country kitchen greets you as you enter the front door. If it's just a cup of tea you want or something more elaborate, the kitchen has it all. Beyond the kitchen is a sunny combination dining and living room area. Two oversize comfy chairs face the water in the sitting area where you can read or relax with a glass of wine.

With the two bedrooms, the cottage sleeps four guests in either a queen or full sized bed. A sleep sofa in the living room can sleep additional guests.

During the summer months enjoy life on the creek! Bring your fishing rod and cast from the pier or try your hand at catching some local crabs. Kayaks and paddle boards are included for your enjoyment. Visit us during the fall and watch the leaves change across the creek from your Adirondack chair each morning. Or settle in for a cozy winter weekend at the cottage with a good book and some hot chocolate!

Excellent little yellow cottage for sure! So quaint and quiet and charming property. Very homey and comfortable. We have stayed at the cottage actually 10 years ago when my son attended the Naval Academy and have very fond memories of our stay.Host Rhonda is the best and so accommodating.Would give 10 stars if possible!

Enjoyable Getaway

My wife and I had a wonderful time staying at the Yellow Cottage. The location is peaceful but still close enough to everything you would want to do. Owner is very friendly and available if needed. Would highly recommend if you are planning a stay in Annapolis. Would easily consider staying again if coming back to the area.

Great stay at the cottage!

This was just a super place- right in the water and beautiful… and surprisingly spacious for a cottage. I loved the kitchen farm sink and the sun coming in the morning off the bay. Will definitely love to stay again. The owner was so nice and thought of all the little details!! Thank you!!

Adorable Cottage! Perfect Visit!

We had a beautiful and restful stay while our daughter attended a summer provram at the Naval Academy. Rhonda was so helpful and kind with lots of good suggestions. Her gardens are amazing and the cottage was comfortable and well stocked. . The only suggestion is to bring beach shoes if you want to swim or kayak-very slippery by dock.

Great little house by the water

The house was perfect, very comfortable and just what we needed. The water activities were fantastic, with plenty of paddle boards and kayaks to choose from. The location is great, right across the water from a large public park, so there were plenty of little inlets and small beaches to explore in the kayaks. The host was very welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend!

Unique little cottage

The Yellow Cottage was a perfect spot for my daughter and I to spend the weekend near Annapolis. The location was perfect, near the city but also very close to a delightful winery. Everything was provided which means you can pack lightly. We unfortunately did not have the opportunity to hit the water on this trip.

Beautiful and Relaxing

Highly recommend. Beautiful spot and a wonderful cottage. Rhonda does an amazing job of making you feel at home. My son is at the Academy and with all the pressures they have on them, to see him be able to sit out by the water so peacefully and just relax was so enjoyable. We'll be back for sure.

Just what we needed

We had a family wedding and the yellow cottage was just what we needed. Mornings drinking coffee while sitting in adirondack chairs watching kayaks and paddle boards drift by on the river and close enough to where we needed to be in the evening. Would definitely look at staying in the yellow house next time we are in Annapolis.

A truly peaceful haven

The Yellow Cottage was perfect for my husband and me as we visited family in the area. Harness Creek is a very quiet and beautiful location, yet only a short drive into Annapolis and to the surrounding areas. It is a comfortable, no-frills space but at the same time it has everything you need. Rhonda is always available to help out and answer any questions.

Amazing

Incredible stay at the yellow cottage. There is not a single thing that was not great. Quiet, relaxing, beautiful and exactly what my family needed for rest between lacrosse games. The kayaks were a perfect addition for my son and his buddies. The cottage may not be big, but it is large in character and comfort.

50th Reunion

Wanted to attend my USNA 50th reunion, but didn't want to stay in a big hotel. The Yellow Cottage was perfect for us. Close to the stadium and downtown, but very quiet and secluded. Too bad our schedule was so packed that we didn't have an opportunity to enjoy the property. Next time we will!

Beautiful Retreat

What a great find. It is tucked away in an idyllic setting but only minutes away from Historic Annapolis and USNA. The little house is clean and comfortable. Everything you need is provided just bring your clothes and groceries if desired. It was a comfortable size for the 4 of us including 2 teenagers. I loved the little sitting/reading area overlooking the water. The beds were comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. We will definitely stay here again if returning to the area.
