Best Place to Stay!
We have stayed at The Anchors several times when visiting Annapolis and hope you will as well. The home is beautifully and comfortably furnished with all you need. The location is ideal, close to downtown in a beautiful water community ideal for long walks. The hosts are welcoming and really interested in your comfort. We will be back for sure!

Oyster Harbor Cottage
We stayed for 4 days and loved it. The cottage was tastefully done and immaculate! A short 5 walk to a private beach was a wonderful bonus. The beds were very comfortable and our hosts Winston and Carolyn were so accommodating. We would definitely go back!

130th Anniversary of Highland Beach, MD

Great Stay
We loved the community/neighborhood. It was perfect for walks and the beach area was excellent and very well kept. The house was perfect; everything you needed and then some. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed the stay! Would definitely book this property again.

Great neighborhood
Immaculate little place, loved the neighborhood, quiet diverse with homeowners, family rentals, young people old people ethnicity diverse. The beach for the little community on Chesapeake Bay is small but nice , gated, is open until midnight had plenty of room for family parties, has a small play ground and volleyball owners were in touch but not intrusive, can’t find a single thing to complain about.

Winston and Carolyn are extremely nice and thoughtful hosts. The space feels larger than it is with two comfortable bedrooms a nice living area and kitchen. They had the bedrooms, kitchen, and bathrooms extremely well stocked and were very easy to communicate with. We loved Annapolis but it was wonderful to be away from Downtown in a very quiet and extremely friendly neighborhood. We will be back no doubt. Thank you so much Winston and Carolyn!

What a pleasant stay
I rented this house almost 2 years ago for my mid’s commission week. The Winston couple are the best host of Annapolis I have met in the past 4 years. The house is spotless and has everything we need. We held a postgraduation party and Winston couple helped us to turn it to successful party. What a pleasant stay!! I believe that Winston couple become our friends and we definitely will come back in the future.

We loved staying here! Everything is updated. Kitchen tools very high quality. Appreciated all the extras found in the pantry. Bed super comfy. Nice pillows. Backyard is lovely. Street is quaint and quiet. Quiet beach is a 5 minute walk away. We enjoyed hiking in Quiet Waters Park and Thomas Point Park also. Friendly neighbors and friendly owners who live next door!

Great stay!
Oyster Harbor is a wonderful home to stay when in Annapolis. The cottage has everything you need to feel comfortable, make a meal, walk the lovely neighborhood and have easy access to DTA. We are lucky to have found this gem and are sure to return.

Awesome cottage for Annapolis events
The Host was accommodating and easy to deal with on every way. The property easily accommodated 2 couples and literally is just a few steps from the local beach in a quaint and quiet neighborhood. Also an easy 5-10 minute drive to all local events and experiences around downtown Annapolis and the Naval Academy.

From the moment you communicate with Winston and Carolyn, you know you are in good hands. The house was spotless, the towels plentiful and plush, the bed linens comfortable and the space was warmly and beautifully decorated with an eye for comfort and practicality. The kitchen had everything for heating or preparing a meal. The setting of the adorable house was great as well within a friendly neighborhood and with slight water views and a beach and dock down the street. We had family staying there but it would be comfortable for two couples or a couple with children. Well priced, well placed, and well taken care of! The hosts were very quick to respond to questions and even left us a basket of snacks! They are kind and warm hearted people and it shows in their rental. I would definitely rent here again!

Lovely retreat
We had a wonderfully relaxing long weekend at this comfortable little home. Beautiful sunrise at the private beach. Quiet evenings. All within a short drive to downtown Annapolis. Check out Quiet Waters Park while you are here. Winston and Carolyn are gracious and responsive hosts. We’ll be back!

Dream Getaway
We just love The Anchors, so much that my partner and I want to keep it to ourselves;) This was our third visit and we brought our friends along for a night who loved it, too. The neighborhood is perfectly serene but getting into the city is super easy. It's really nice to have both options. The community is very friendly, too. Everyone waves on walks and bike rides. Come and enjoy your stay here!

The Anchors is a wonderful place in every way. The house is beautifully furnished, spotless, has every amenities you could every need and is in one of the best locations in Annapolis. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by water Yet a short distance from downtown. The owners are incredibly hospitable and had great communication. Clean quiet house near small beach
The house was very clean and modern. The hosts were great. The beach is really just down the block. The beach is small, quiet, and clean. The neighborhood was very friendly and walkable. The one disadvantage of this location was that it is a bit of a ride from downtown Annapolis (about 15 minutes).

Quiet Neighborhood and the Perfect Spot to Explore Annapolis
This is our third time staying here for a week in the summer, and we always love it. The house is welcoming and clean. Winston and Carolyn are right next door and available if you ever need them, but we never have! The house is completely stocked with anything you’ll need. We love how close it is to the neighborhood beach. The neighborhood has plenty of quiet streets to walk and enjoy the bay views. The house is also only a quick drive to downtown, shopping centers, and countless restaurants. This is the perfect spot to do it all. We will definitely be back again next year!

The Anchors is awesome!
We had a great stay at the Anchors! The cottage was extremely clean and comfortable. The kitchen was better appointed than previous VRBOs at which we’ve stayed. Winston and Carolyn were welcoming and available. We especially enjoyed the beach, which is a short walk down the road, and playing the available games in the evening. We definitely recommend this place!

Lovely cottage in the Chesapeake Bay near Annapolis
The cottage is charming, stayed there with my 2 sons, age 11 and 17. Charming neighborhood with a private beach access, playground for kids. Winston and Carolyn are lovely, helpful, wish I’d had more time to get to know them! Short 10 min drive to Annapolis. The sunrise there over the water is beautiful. Highly recommend, their place had everything you might need. I could have stayed forever!

Great location, great accommodation, great hosts!
The Anchors was a wonderful accommodation for a mixed business & pleasure 8 day trip to Annapolis. The house was immaculate and very well-appointed all around (kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms, linens & blankets, cleaning supplies - everything!). The location is fantastic - a charming, extremely quiet & friendly neighborhood close to downtown Annapolis, DC & Baltimore Airport. Winston and Carolyn are fantastic hosts - extremely attentive and quick to answer questions, as well as kind and friendly. Highly recommend The Anchors for a weekend getaway or week-long visit to the area.

Graduation and commissioning week
I could not have asked for a nicer more lovely home to stay for our son's academy graduation. The location is perfect. The neighborhood is so quiet and clean. It's more quiet than our farm in western Colorado. Winston and Carolyn are the very best hosts. They were on the spot for any little thing we needed. The attention to detail was amazing--right down to the neatly folded kleenex and the towels on the beds. Oh, the beds were just so comfy we slept like logs. They even left a huge basket of goodies for our enjoyment. I'm sad to say that most everything was eaten within two days. We enjoyed the back yard so much. We had a couple of meals with groups of family and there was plenty of room for all. They have multiple bird feeders and a bird condo and we really enjoyed watching the birds. The spice cabinet was full of a great variety of spices. We prepared several meals in the kitchen and we had everything we could possibly need. Thank you so so much for making a busy and stressful week absolutely top notch. I can't recommend the Anchors enough.

Perfect spot for a relaxing getaway
We stayed here last year for a long weekend and loved it so much we came back for a full week this year! It's the perfect place to relax and de-stress -- quiet neighborhood, beautiful beach, comfortable house, wonderful hosts. We spent all day on the beach with our 4-year-old and enjoyed trying different local restaurants -- recommended by Winston and Carolyn -- in the evenings. This is a dream spot -- we will be back again!

Amazing Stay
The home is very clean and the inside is so very nice! The beds, pillows, and sheets are very comfortable as well. They have put a lot of time and detail into this home. I will be staying here again when I come back this fall.

A perfect place for a relaxing weekend!
Location, Location, Location! We could not have been happier about our stay at Oyster Harbor. We wanted to be close enough to all the action, but not in the midst of it and this place was perfect! It was only a few minute drive to the center of Annapolis, but set in a lovely neighborhood along the water, which made for lovely walks. The home was immaculate, well stocked, and perfect for our get-away weekend. Our hosts clearly put a lot of thought and energy into making our stay nice. I highly recommend this home and will definitely stay again next time in Annapolis.

The property owners live a few feet from this rental. They don't understand that emails and texts do not flow instantaneously, and they neglected to provide check in information until 30 minutes after check-in. Then, only after seeing us, they decide to evict us with 2 hours notice....based upon some rules breaking before check-in. What's their real motivation??

First of all, we are not bait and switch, never have been and never will be. We fully understand that emails and texts do not flow instantaneously (even though VRBO had verified that the check in information had been sent to your email address ). The only reason you had access to text was because we were courteous enough to text you the code and then call to assure you had received it. And when we did, you proceeded to curse and rant because you had not received this information several days earlier. All of this took place before the 4:00 PM check-in time. Guess may request early check-in, which you did not, so there was no reason to send out the code early. Our decision to evict you with two hour notice, came after speaking with you about your cursing and abusive tone; your response to this was the soul reason for your eviction. Our real motivation is to ensure that our guest enter a property that is well-maintained and true to the photographs presented online and to receive the same respect that is given. Based on reviews received prior to, as well as after your visit, is a testament to the service we strive to provide.

My husband, young adult Mid at USNA, and I enjoyed our stay at The Anchors. The house is lovely inside - spotlessly clean, nicely decorated and well-equipped (ceiling fans, kitchen equipment, towels, laundry, etc.). The neighborhood is very quiet and cozy - nice for walking, running or biking. The beach at the end of the street (5 min walk) looks great, although we didn't have time to sit and enjoy the view. Winston and Caroline were very responsive hosts and left some thoughtful and much appreciated coffee and snacks to welcome us. We would highly recommend this spot and will look to stay again when we are in Annapolis.

Beautiful cottage retreat
The cottage is quiet and cozy. The perfect place for a weekend retreat! It is a short walk to a lovely private beach with a view of the Bay and lots of seabirds. It takes about 20 minutes to drive to the shops and restaurants of Annapolis. There are also grocery stores nearby in case you want to take advantage of the well-equipped kitchen. Carolyn and Winston are gracious hosts. We loved our stay!

This was a great spot to be home base for the weekend so we could be close to friends and family who came in for the wedding. Me and my bridesmaids enjoyed our stay and will keep it in mind for future weekend getaways! Loved the cabinet of spices available and check in/check out was a breeze.
