Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
This hotel was definitely not a four star experience. The rooms were small and dated, there is no beachfront and the pictures were deceiving. The pool was crowded with elderly residents and not a comfortable experience for families. No other areas of the grounds- mini golf, tennis courts- were open to visitors.
The booking only came through as Bor Annex so we spent a lot of time looking for that hotel. It is actually an annex block to the Convent Hotel and I believe it may also be called Adria Hotel.
Confusion over we were in an apartment block just a hundred metres from the main hotel, The room facilities were clean and pleasant. We were a group visiting on a football trip in February. Our aim was to be in Koper which was about 7 km away.
We only had bed and breakfast 2 nights. A more than reasonable spread of cooked or cold items. Buffet style and you could take as much as you wanted.
The complex is art of a "Spa resort" which the loclas call a holiday camp. There were excellent indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts and 10 pin bowling.
No wifi in the annex or the main hotel reception but you could pick it up from the main hotel rooms and the staff gave the code.
Slovenian people in general are an odd mix of friendly and helpful and downright surly and unhelpful. The majority of the hotel staff were in the friendly and helpful category.
We paid a very low rate per person for bed and breakfast. 2 sharing a twin room.
In summer I think you will be in the middle of a big and busy place similar to that you find in most Med holiday resorts.
I would happily stay there again and would have no hesitation in recommending it here.
