The building is an authentic ottoman era reconstruction. My only negative comment would be that it was a bit difficult to arrive by taxi as it is right inside the castle wall. The manager arranged for a car to take us to the airport at 7:30 AM, which was a lifesaver.

The place was well located in the old town, quiet and with good wifi and reasonably good breakfast.
It was a pity that some aspects required for our comfort were only provided after we asked. Tea and coffee were not available contrary to what it said in the description.
Overall, the room was generally great. tastefully done, and offers a nice breakfast. That being said, the check-in experience could have been smoother.
Every person who travels should always plan to learn some of the language in order to communicate with locals, but it could also be said that hotels, especially those receiving foreign guests, should staff the reception area with people who have multilingual skill sets.
In the case of this hotel, there were no English, Russian, or additional language speakers available, which made the check in more difficult. I do not believe Turkish is a language people can easily learn, especially if only for 1 day. Moreover, the process for paying is so universal, that the amount of difficulty getting this process complete is something they should refine. Is the expectation that someone should learn Turkish for one day of travel in a city? That seems a bit extreme and counter to most hotels accepting international travelers. And since the process did not include any overt way to find a 3rd language, I feel the process proved to be more difficult than necessary.
Other than that, the hotel is fantastic, well renovated, and in an ideal location. Breakfast is good too. I would still recommend the place, but I would encourage people to learn a little Turkish and perhaps, the staff to work on including more multilingual workers to make the process smoother.
This is a lovely authentic propert right in the heart of the old Citidel. Driving there was “interesting” on a busy Saturday and very tight trough the city portals. Parking was okay it was just in the very tight street by the property and we left the hire car keys at reception in case the needed moving. The only unusual aspect was not having an entrance key and having to knock to get in. There were 2 side gates which we could have entered through if we’d had a key. I loved the hotel and if I was to return to Ankara would definitely use it again. You are absolutely in the heart of most of the worthy sites in Ankara.
Excellent location, super clean, friendly and welcoming, lovely rooms. Managers don’t really speak English but this isn’t a problem. This would have been perfect 10/10 hotel except there is no sound insulation so you can easily hear TVs and people talking, and there was a potentially great kitchenette, but with no equipment, including a kettle for making tea and coffee, so it is of no use. There was a kettle downstairs but we felt uncomfortable using it, as who wants to go downstairs in your pyjamas! The pillows were enormously thick and therefore uncomfortable for sleep. This for me was the worst problem. However, putting these small things aside it was a lovely hotel and I would recommend.
Conveniently located close to museums and easy to get a taxi. Really confortable and hice breakfast. Only one person among staff spoke English, so communication was difficult.

This hotel is in beautiful area and has good accessibility. But staffs could not speak English. moreover, I did not use air-condition and wifi connection is so bad, unstable.
