The hotel rooms were clean and large but very basic and quite dark. Mosquito nets were available but old (few holes) and dingy. Bedlinen was clean but smelled mouldy. Electrical sockets and light switches didn't look really safe. TV with lots of channels, also for kids. Breakfast was very basic. Lunch and dinner was OK and normal priced, serving was a bit slow, but probably all fresh made food. Wifi is free and quite fast. Swimming pool is nice, but not enough sun beds, some of them are almost broken, cushions are in bad condition. Free towels at the poolside, you are allowed to take them to the beach.
The garden is nice (with flowers, palm- banana, mango and jackfruit trees) and well looked after, because of that (watering the plants daily), there are many mosquito's. There are also lots of crows. Small 'library'.
The beach is a 10 minutes walk away: garbage along the road, very primitive housing, cows, new temple, grocery shops, internet cafe, nice church and tourist shops . All in all the hotel can use a refurbishing in the near future and maybe a better mosquito control program. I've had a nice stay, but next time I'll choose something newer with more luxury. That I need to pay much more than is self-evident.
