This was taken at the Yellow Mountains (Huang Shan) in Anhui, China—truly one of the most stunning places I have ever been. This shot doesn’t even come close to capturing the vastness and intricacy of these rock formations! Famed for its peculiar rocks, pine trees, sea of clouds and hot springs, Huang Shan was truly like an ancient painting come to life. #Adventure
“Seeking what is true is not seeking what is desirable.” ― Albert Camus, It was raining, the crowds were only just starting to reach the mountain and the fact that we hadn't really planned anything for the day's hike was growing roots in my sea of existential angst. Yet, the brisk autumn air and the potential for great views held out its hand like a flowering promise whispering that this was going to be a great day. #China
My pen is alight and my body aflame. Until both burn down to ash, my love and my hate will remain here in the world. Ba Jin I awoke early in the morning to try and catch the sunrise, but it was hidden behind a massive curtain of clouds. Nonetheless, the beauty and the stillness of that morning was perfect. Not perfect to take a photograph, at least for someone of my ability, but perfect enough to fill my soul for another day.
