"The website needs to be more specific on handicap accessibility. It really is not. Also, from the website. I thought it was on the same side as the ocean, not across the highway. Even with all that, the stay was fabulous. The desk clerk, Jessica, did all she could to find a room with the least number of steps for my wife. The valet, Sam, was excellent in bringing out baggage to the room."

"I have been here 10 years before, but only for a one-night-stay, cause I was on a trip to another city. Really impressive by the environment and design of the room, especially the atmosphere in the lodge. This time, I came with my partner, everything was as perfect as before, the front desk was helpful all the time, nice and friendly, explained everything to you clearly. I will come back in the future, and definitely recommend to people who want to have a cozy and relax vocation in Carmel."

"Great location. Walking distance to all shopping and restaurants and beach. All the staff were excellent. The property is starting to show its age. It could use a bit of update. But, it also adds to the character of the property. Shower was great. Beds very comfortable . Perfect location for a girls trip ."

"We enjoyed our stay, it was clean and staff were good. We had an issue with the fireplace, which was rather underwhelming but it is an old hotel, Inn, what ever you want to call it. There are no food amenities, rooms are old, but clean, bed was very comfy and a decent sixed King bed. The gardens are beautiful and there is a very small patio area to sit outside for morning coffee etc, you can get coffee in your room and reception area but everything else is in the town area food, drinks perspective. While the place is in the town and only a short walk into the lovely town, the walk down to the beach is significant ! Its about a 25 min walk and up and down quite a steep incline but worth it as the beach is a supreme view. We did enjoy our stay, but be warned, eating out in the town is very expensive and sometimes not the best food !"
