Burton Waterfront Beach House

10/10 Excellent

"This is a beautiful, clean, cozy beach house with a plump, comfy queen size bed and adequate seating indoors and out to have several friends over for an afternoon or an evening. The property description is thorough and accurate so I'll tell what else you might need to know, There is little space to hang clothes so pack accordingly. No cover on the door window means headlights of passing vehicles at night shine directly into the bed area. I used the substantial folding screen to block them. Window coverings are bamboo stick for the most part. Outdoors, the beach is wide and rocky, shallow close to the bulkhead, and a great source of clam and mussel shells. The deck has sun and covered areas, many lounge chairs on deck and patios and other seating as well. Altho Vashon Highway is right outside, traffic noise is minimal inside and nights are very quiet and restful. The water views are expansive and beautiful. I believe you will love spending time here. I would have extended my stay if not for appointments that couldn't be changed. Highly recommended!"

"We stayed in Lodge 16 and it was fantastic. Everything you could ask for - super classy and cozy. The fireplace and electric votives were a delight. The heated floors in the tub/shower room excellent. Great shower! When we needed batteries for the remote and a hair dryer they didn’t hesitate to pop over to replace them. We needed about 30 minutes extra time for departure and luckily that was no problem. Check in a breeze! Highly recommend!"

"It was a fabulous place and exceeded our expectations. Each room was set up nicely...the kitchen with fresh eggs, the updated bathroom with everything we needed and more, the living/dining room had books and games as did the bedrooms upstairs. We only wish that we could have stayed more than one night and enjoyed the beautiful property. It was situated between the ferry and town and we had a wonderful dinner at The Ramble just down the road from the owner's recommendation. We hope to go back again for a longer stay."

"We loved this home. The water views, the gazebo on the dock/pier, and sitting in the hot tub looking at the water were all epic. The interior of the house is well appointed, spacious, and clean, clean, clean. Water views from every room! The home had everything we needed in the kitchen, and the hosts even left us some chocolate and a bottle of wine! We will definitely be back."

"We've returned to Gone Fishin cabin over & over. It's location right on the water, where we can watch the wildlife & boats go by, can't be beat. It's cozy, comfortable, & well stocked. A bonus this visit was the gorgeous fall full moon reflecting on the water. Highly recommend!"

So much thought has been put into every detail; the needs of travelers have been anticipated and fulfilled in every room. Exceptionally clean, completely comfortable, and filled with fun diversions. "This place was amazing. So well appointed, everything you could need in the kitchen, so wonderfully quiet and the view was beautiful. Beds were very comfortable. It had everything we could possibly need. The host was easy to get in touch with. The staircase from the parking area is very modern and has gripper/non slip surface, but yes there are 90 stairs (but several landing areas to rest if necessary).Hope to return in the future!"
