Wonderful

We traveled to CT for a memorial service with a group of friends. This was the perfect size of place and it was perfectly located for us to meet up with others. Would stay here again! We enjoyed all of the extras that made us smile.
We had a great stay at this place. All the amenities we could want, really. It was so hot while we were there, and the A/C helped a lot. We were busy prepping for and helping to host (not at this house) our son's wedding nearby. This was a great location, near enough to run back and forth for when we forgot things for the wedding.
Our family stayed at this property while enjoying family weekend at UConn. The home was a nice distance between campus and fun activities. The house was clean and well stocked with amenities. We missed having a hot tub as was the reason we chose this home, but the views in the backyard were beautiful. We had a wonderful stay. Thank you!
The house & property were amazing (close to everything)…the creek & waterfall were absolutely mesmerizing, it was so nice to sit out & drink our coffee with the water rushing by…only downside as there was no hot tub as listed. Also my dogs loved it too
My family and I had a relaxing vacation in this cabin. We spent our days fishing and swimming in the lake as well as hiking in some of the nearby nature trails. At night, we enjoyed the outdoor fire table, watched movies, and played board games. My younger children loved having access to the gaming station. The property was pet friendly, and our dog enjoyed exploring the yard. The owners were very prompt about communicating with us. Overall, we had a wonderful vacation!
Very nice spacious house, clean and ready when we arrived. Garden was a good size, and plenty of seating and parking space. Accomodated the seven of us very well. Only downside for a couple of us was the foam mattress’s on all of the beds, as we had not slept on them before and found them to be very uncomfortable. Nearby lake beach was good, grandkids loved it, and there was plenty of places around to walk the dogs. Also went to the Dinosaur Place in Montville which we found a little expensive but the grandkids loved it. Overall a very pleasant weekend!
This was an adult weekend away with our dog, outdoor weekend planned with several hikes.
We wanted a change of scenery and a break from the norm.
Very nice home, lots of space. Great kitchen. The 2 Alexas talking were a lot for me (one wasn’t working and she was very vocal about that). I’m old school when it’s comes to turning on lights.
Welcome book is great.
The location is on and near a very busy street, which was only a concern because of the dog.
The yard. We are fanatics with our home and yard so it may not be a big deal for everyone.
The pictures are very outdated. A company needs to come and do a complete and over due clean up.
Everything is over grown. Trees and weeds hit me in the face the whole weekend. Fire table was a fire hazard under a low tree. Dead hanging flower baskets, narrow and low lying walk ways, couldn’t see the stream, no waterfalls (not much rain), broken and many trinkets. Broken table near entry, door mat needs to be replaced, patio furniture dated and umbrella was broken, fire pit chairs were old and hard metal. Maybe the owners have not seen the property in a while but VRBO should be on top of this. The yard could be beautiful but was not inviting. I thought for sure my OCD husband was going to start picking weeds.
Overall, great house, lots of great hikes, and we had a good weekend but we were disappointed in the yard especially since we love being outside.

Liked: Cleanliness, communication, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Not as pictured
Short Version - The property was poorly landscaped, we did not have views of the waterfall due to the overgrowth of vegetation. There were also at least 2 yellow jacket hives on the grounds. The firepit was inaccessible as it too was overgrown with trees and other plant life and a large sign stating the same due to the overgrowth which is a fire hazard. The deck in the back of the property was unsafe so viewing the waterfall which is also blocked by a garage was misleading. This was not told to us until after we arrived along with a second set of instructions. The fire table was available for use if you felt comfortable lighting it under the overgrown tree above it. The internet went out on our 4 day and I had to contact the host Wednesday and Thursday to put it back on. We had yellow jackets and hornets in the house even though no screens were open. The host was very responsive and the home was clean and fully stocked with towels, cleaning products, dish and cookware but the yard was hardly what was pictured on the website. Also, the "gym" was a set of adjustable weights located in the main bedroom of which was the most uncomfortable mattress myself and my man had the displeasure of sleeping on which is why we cut our vacation short by a day and left Saturday afternoon. I would not recommend staying here. Fridge is small, walkway to the backyard is unsafe and the yard is on a hill so walking proved tricky at best.

Amazingly cozy and comfortable in a rustic setting. A great historical home with all the modern necessities and comforts. Our hosts were responsive and knowledgable to the area. I will definitely be staying again next year!
The home was perfect for our 8 people and 2 dogs. House is well appointed and perfectly located to a lot of different activities-hiking trails, lake, restaurants, etc… if back in the area, will definitely rent again.
Stayed here with 6 relatives and a one and two year old. Had a large/sturdy dinning room table great for meals and games. Large TV for entertaining and comfy sofas. Lots of Alexa accessibility, but we also appreciated being able to control things ourself and mute Alexa when desired. Would be perfect for an adult get away weekend!
What a beautiful experience. The home has so much to offer, the decorations are great focal points, the property is magestic. Choy is extremely responsive and a great host. You'll feel right at home!

Serious invasion of privacy
Cameras in the house in the front room and in the kitchen, massive invasion of privacy.
Six adults stayed comfortably at the house for a long weekend. The house was a good size and comfortable, but the outside property was the main enjoyment. We enjoyed the table fire pit nightly, and hosted a 70th birthday party on the back patio. The back lawn provided lots of space for our grand dog to run and for the young to run and tire themselves out. The house had electrical outlets and charges everywhere to keep our many devices charged, and there were plenty of kitchen supplies for our group of six. The only thing we couldn’t find was a toaster, but the broiler worked fine as a substitute. On our day of arrival, I contacted Choy several times with questions. He always replied immediately.
The Raj’s are friendly hosts. Very responsive and not at all intrusive. The property’s description is accurate. The neighborhood and town felt very safe. New England small town so, need I say, quaint. We traveled between Hartford, North Haven, and Enfield shuttling traveling family to airport, train station, and wedding engagements… usually no more than 40 minute drive. We did not have the opportunity to spend very much time at the house but would have enjoyed doing so since the indoor and outdoor provisions are so relaxing and peaceful. Great lighting inside and outside. Eclectic. Nice mix of the original structure with the modern comforts. Thanks again Raj’s!

We had a very nice quiet weekend away. The house is comfortable and well set up. The property is beautiful. We enjoyed watching the all the birds at the birdfeeders. Took a relaxing walk at the nearby airline trail.
