Nice place people are very kind and friendly comfortable bed and I used decor. Ways to improve to be a little more cleaning as a relates to the bathroom shower toilet clean the floor is a little bit more washing them and dusting other than that very nice recommend.
The hotel staff were very helpful and kind, especially the front desk team. Unfortunately, the room condition was very poor. The bed had stains, the blanket had mold, and there were bugs on the bed. The room was dusty throughout. The bathroom also had issues—the toilet seat was broken, and the shower sometimes had no water.
I would not recommend this hotel for families. Since I was traveling alone and only used the room at night to sleep, I managed to stay. The main reason I completed my stay was because the front desk staff were very good and supportive.
This hotel is such a comfortable option super close to Darbar Sahib. Excellent location, very clean rooms, great AC, and working elevator. Very comfortable. Only issue we had was the shower leaked a bit but nothing major.
My room was as requested with a view of Jallianwala Bagh. Á very comfortable bed and tea, coffee, kettle and mini bar was provided. I had to ask for a hair dryer but it came promptly.
Unfortunately the bathroom was not up to standard. On arrival I had to ask for the bath at to be changed as it was filthy. Inside the shower was a wooden window frame and the wood was rotting and flakes fell in the shower. The water temperature was difficult to regulate, going from boiling hot to very cold in seconds. At 2130 on the second there was no hot water at all. The bathroom floor was quite slippery when wet. This really should be dealt with.
The restaurant was excellent with a good choice and friendly service.
Overall the staff were helpful and went out of their way to make me comfortable.
I would recommend this hotel for it’s excellent location near the Golden Temple and in a very atmospheric part of the city.
Golden lagoon is very close to the Golden Temple (Darbar Sahib). Staff is friendly and professional. My flight was very late and they were able to accommodate me by giving me a room for a shorter period after normal check out for a reasonable price. Rooms are on the slightly smaller size but sufficient and clean. Kettle, mini fridge, TV, hot water etc all provided. Rooms were clean. One criticism, and this applies to all hotels close to the Golden Temple is that they should provide directions or a map of how to get to the hotel from the nearest main street if coming in a Taxi or large car, Google maps don't work very well as it tries to take you through the shortest route which may include narrow and inaccessible streets.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Great central location to the Golden Temple. However rooms are old and outdated, with constant off gassing from the shower drains. They should use a vaccum to pickup all the previous guests hair and such. Would not stay here again and do not recommend for any foriegn travellers who are used to something a little cleaner.
Easy check in
Comfortable rooms especially on 3rd floor
First Floor rooms small especially bathroom
Very safe and secure

Restaurant food very good
Hotel staff attentie and respond quickly to every request
Lovely view of jalian wale baag from room
Horrible experience staying at this property. Very bad customer service, rude staff, no hot water, not enough pillows in the rooms and when asked for extra we are told they can’t allow more than 2 pillows per room, Water leaking all over the bathroom while showering, tv remotes broken and batteries taped in the back, dirty almirah, no iron, dirty bedsheets.
My 9 year old had diarrhea and I asked them to change the bedsheets. The 1st thing the guy asked me if there was any stain on the sheets instead of addressing the issue.
I had booked a family suite and executive suite and both rooms had end number of issues. This was by far the worst experience.
I booked a room for 3, it was huge ! Great location, 3 minutes to Harminder Sahib / Golden Temple, lots of stalls on your doorstep. Fab location, food in the restaurant was delicious. It can be noisy outside, we were on the 3rd floor and very tired and slept well
The manager was very disrespectful. He treated us very badly and did not show any professionalism. We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome during our stay. This experience was very disappointing. He was keep laughing at us while we were trying to understand the situation, and forced us to pay extra.
