"The owners make us felt at home. The old couple who managed this are so friendly and I love their Thai style fish congee for breakfast. Their son is also very kind. He came during breakfast to check on our well being if we slept well for the night. He even drove us to the bus stop where we headed for Mae klong train station. "Beautiful hotel with jungle plants all around and next to the river. We watched the sunrise every morning and saw many birds including a kingfisher. The amazing monitor lizards were swimming in the river one day. The staff were so kind and the bicycles were free so we explored locally. A perfect place to stay rather than the noise of the city."

"Baan Chompoo Homestay is very clean and only 5 minutes walk to Amphawa Floating market. Breakfast was reasonable though not the best shower we had, but we were happy with out stay. You can catch songtheaw (public open ute) from across the road to go to Maeklong train market for 8baht per person so very cheap. No taxi available, however private car to Bangkok about 1200baht - The owner was nice to call and organise one when we requested."
