Spacious, Family-Friendly Home with Game Day Perks & Huge Backyard!
Beautiful and quiet home with old charm and modern amenities! Leave your car behind for a game at Jack Trice Stadium; meander to nearby restaurants or Iowa State University. There's a fenced yard and the doorbell has a security camera in the front of the house. Sleeps 8 comfortably. 4 rooms offer 3 queen beds, and 1 cozy room with a twin/trundle.


Welcome to your home away from home in the heart of Ames! With approximately 1,600 sq ft of interior space and a large, tree-shaded backyard, this home is ideal for families, friend groups, or game day getaways.

The Space
Inside, you'll find a stylish living room with a 55” Roku TV, comfy sofa, and extra seating (ottomans double as stools). The dining room table seats the whole crew, and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need: cutlery, crockery, cookware, bakeware, and utensils.

We’ve upgraded to the fastest internet in Ames, with boosted coverage to eliminate dead spots.

Winter Ready
A snow and ice removal service clears the driveway within 24 hours of storms. You’ll also find ice melt in the hall pantry and a shovel in the garage for extra peace of mind.

Yard Care
Lawn maintenance is handled weekly on Thursdays between 10 AM – 4 PM during growing season. Please ensure the yard is accessible.

Backyard Fire Pit
Enjoy evenings under the stars around the fire pit (bring your own firewood). A fire extinguisher is located under the kitchen sink for safety.

Parking
The driveway accommodates 2–3 vehicles depending on size. For game days, this is gold—street parking is limited and enforced, so check signs carefully.

A washer and dryer are available in the basement (unfinished side).

Great place to stay for an Iowa State football weekend! Location was perfect and the house had everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. Wi-Fi and big screen TV’s were fantastic. The amenities were everything we needed.

Texas vs Iowa State Football Weekend

LOVE this property and location. Quiet and great vibes. Walking distance to the Iowa State campus to the north and the football stadium to the east. It was a perfect home base for us this weekend. Could not recommend it enough for an awesome Ames extended stay expereince.

Great host and wonderful home!

Communication was so great and check-in/check-out was a breeze. We were there with 8 adults and the common space was great. Three bedrooms very spacious. The room with twin beds is a trundle in small room so plan accordingly. We loved the character of the old home and was updated nicely. Kitchen was well stocked. We would stay again if ever in the area.

Amazing home! Stayed there with 4 adults. Great location and the neighborhood was quite. Kitchen was very well stocked and it was easy to cook dinner for the group. The home was very clean and well maintained. We felt at home! The owner Tricia was very responsive to questions. As the owner mentioned in the listing, she lives there when she is in town. Please be respectful of her home and treat it as if it were your own home. We will stay again!!

Truly excellent experience!! Gorgeous neighborhood, friendly neighbors, clean home easy to access, very walkable to campus. We stayed in three VRBO’s in three different college towns and this one was the best of the three!! Great communication with property manager. This was a great experience.

Perfect gathering place

We chose this property for several couples to stay at before a wedding and it worked out wonderfully. There’s enough space in the driveway for two pickups and a car, and the porch was great for bug-free happy hours. The host was easy to contact with questions and very helpful. We had a great stay!

Visited Ames for Gal’s Weekend at my daughter’s sorority. This property is in a great location for access to all things Iowa State, safe and quiet neighborhood. Very responsive owner, made our stay easy and enjoyable!
