Hotel deco looking tired, corridor carpets dirty, doesn't supply 2 room entry cards per couple, bathrooms towels are old & frayed. The duty manager appeared to be cold and unwelcoming. Generally we got the impression the management was not investing enough into the hotel. some of the dining room staff gave good service and the chef accommodated our special requests.

The travel is during Covid pandemic times and probably expecting all facilities to be opened is a higher expectation as the common facilities had to be kept shut. The basic requirements were all taken care of.

Very conveniently located but a very tired hotel
Check in experience was fine. I booked a triple room, for errr three people. But upon arrival there were only two bath towels and no hand nor face towels. Once requested however, they did turn up. The room was a river facing room and overlooked the pool and river. The pool however was under maintenance, so we were extremely disappointed, this was one of the reasons for choosing this hotel. There wasn't much of an apology either. So if the pool is a must for you, then check ahead - we were the in Nov and it was definitely not finished. The room also spelt of smoke so back in the day must have been a smoking room. The rooms, and hotel seemed very tired though. I can't compare it to other Wyndhams, but it was stuck in the late 70s/80's. The room was very large with dark and cracked flooring. There were also only two electrical sockets by the desk and not the bed. I remember having to unplug the lamp to access one too. Breakfast was ample with a good selection. Service was very slow for tea/coffee. We did have dinner there too. Again service was slow and the chicken biriyani was under-cooked. It was immediately replaced however, and staff were apologetic but this marred the whole experience. The omelette in the morning was also a little too underdone. I think the hotel could do with a refresh. The restaurant seems to be offering too much to provide a great standard in food. Whenever something wasn't right the staff were extremely helpful however.

Great room, a bit slow for customer service
The room was great! It was comfortable and large. The breakfast buffet was okay. It wasn't the greatest tasting one, but you will definitely find something to eat there. Also, the service is a bit slow. We ended up calling the reception desk three times, trying to get a third code for wifi (we had three people in our group). The first two calls had the reception desk respond by "we'll call you back." We finally got a different person for the third call who understood what we wanted and said it would activate in five minutes. Our other group of friends (in a different room) called for water and they never arrived. When we called for some extra water, it did take a while, but they did get it.

Overall okay (but only for one night)
We stayed only one night and overall the stay was okay. The only thing that was important and it wasn’t good was the AC unit in the room as it was very noisy. That made it hard for me to fall asleep and have a restful night. The view from the room was over the backwaters and it was very pretty.

Nice Hotel, Great Service
This hotel is nice and service was excellent. However, the bathrooms in our room were a bit dirty and looked like they had not been fully cleaned. There were many little bugs in our room but I think that is because the hotel is right on the water.

The most horrible day we had here. The rooms were not ready even at 4pm where the check-in time starts at 2. Post that the rooms were not checked before allocation. AC not working No hot water Room lock was an issue The sink water clogging Basic things like hair dryer also not available The hotel staff was much careless and wasted our holiday time till 6pm They were so pathetic,taking things casually Staff doesn't know meaning of 5* property

Comfortable Hotel on the Backwaters
The staff at this hotel are extremely helpful and kind! Our room was comfortable and clean, and breakfast had many selections (both Indian and Western). The hotel also helped us book a car from Alleppey to Munnar, and their driver was extremely knowledgeable of the mountain roads. We will be back to the Ramada soon!

Disgusting Hotel conditions
Horrible disgusting and unsanitary. Will never stay at a Ramada ever again. The rooms had mold. The furniture had blood stains, hallways were dirty, hair balls on the carpet, the entire Hotel had a dingy smell, The Hotel is old and dirty. Look at my pictures below. Orbitz should be ashamed for even putting this property on its site.

Hotel in Alleppey with good location
Staff are very nice and helpful, Breakfast is good with lots of choices, staff ready to prepare extra preps, internet is very slow. The hotel is supposed to be 5 years old, has been kept clean, but looks like its 20 plus years old, very run down, needs major refurbishing, facilities need attention, rooms are OK, but bed very hard, pillows hard as well,...only hotel which did nor reply us back our emails for confirming booking. Travel section is good with helpful staff, very affortable rates for boat cruises, safer than outside companies. Alleppey is also very full of rubbish everywhere, unlike Venice. Overall, the hotel is now more concentrating on local customers than overseas visitors, thus the affortable rates....so if the hotel is refurbished. then its a fantastic hotel with a good location.

strangely sloping floor, wooden partitions with peeling off wallpaper and tiles, cracks in floor and tiles. AC shut automatically at 2 am in night felt suffocated and woke up.Calked maintenance .He said it was on timer and he has reset it .Strange ! .Why they keep it on timer. Swimming pool broken tiles replaced with cement. Poorly maintained old property.They should not offer such strange rooms to guests. Total waste of money with hefty price for such an odd room.

Ramada Alappuzha does not measure up.
If you rise up early and want to have a hot shower, you are out of luck in this hotel. They use solar power to heat water in order to save energy, but there is no hot water in the early morning. I called house keeping about the absence of hot water and they sent a guy to take a look. All that he could tell me is that there is hot water during the day. He had no answer when I asked him what about a guest who wants a hot shower at 5:00AM. He said let the the water run for 20 minutes and there will be hot water. I let it run for about 45 minutes, yet there was no hot water after that. This hotels tries to save money by using solar energy for heating water, but if the guests are running the water for 45 minutes, they are wasting another precious resource, namely water. Does it make any sense? At the time of check out I encountered an unfriendly lady front office associate. I had to remind her that they had not included a bill for about INR 1900 for meals we had taken the previous day. She had to check with the restaurant and then finally charged my credit card for it. When I asked for my bill, she said she will only give it to me after the mini-bar is checked and confirmed that we did not consume anything from it. Also, she insisted that all card keys must be surrendered to the front desk before a bill is issued. I have used many hotels during this trip in different countries, but none of the cared about card keys. It looks like Ramada Inn, Alappuzha is something special.

Comfortable and Business like Hotel.
Back side of hotel was not too clean. At back there was a room below the activity area where so many people create noises. While coming out from ferry, the passage was dirty and very noisy. Room was good, staff was very friendly and courteous. It's worth to stay at Ramada. Lack of too much activity makes it a business hotel. Hari Aum
