Welcome to Alton Shores! This A-frame style cabin offers all the vacation feels with proximity to everything. Minutes walk to one of 5 private association beaches on Hills Pond and Sunset Lake. Drive 10 minutes to Alton Bay and Lake Winnepesaukee where you can enjoy a meal on the water, a game of mini golf, or get out on the water. Coming in the winter? Gunstock is about 20 minutes away.

The knotty pine walls and working stone fireplace make this house the perfect place to gather and relax in summer or winter. The house offers an open floor-plan, a main floor bedroom, and a loft space that is effectively two separate bedrooms. Please note that there is no door to the loft space, and the second bedroom offers a curtain for privacy.

Enjoy the garage full of lake toys, or sit and relax around the outdoor fire-pit or cozy fireplace. The house comes complete with linens, a fully stocked kitchen, wifi, pack n play, highchair, and many additional amenities to make your stay more comfortable.

Please note: Guests are required to follow all association beach rules. These rules are in affect from Memorial Day to Columbus and prohibit dogs, fishing, fires, and grilling on the beaches.

We had a wonderful stay! We felt very comfortable and very welcomed in this beautiful piece of property. The listing was exactly as described. The fireplace created such a romantic ambience. The kitchen was fully equipped with anything that you would need to assist you in making a meal. All the appliances worked wonderfully. We would definitely stay here again.

Cozy weekend away

The house was perfect!! Everything was clean and neat upon entering. We were able to bring our two small dogs which was a plus! The fire place made it so cozy and we even sat outside one night and had a little bonfire. We were very pleased with our stay :)

Fantastic Spot and Super Easy

The hosts are super attentive, communicative and the check in could not have been easier. The place was super clean with all utensils, plates and kitchen supplies. There is an extended dog leash in the backyard so your pup can explore safely. Overall would recommend, the fireplace in particular was amazing to use.

We had a lovely stay in Alton Bay. The A Frame cottage was just as pictured. Perfect for cozy nights in playing board games by the fire. Lots of amenities nearby and we enjoyed visiting some of the towns. The host was responsive and very easy to work with. We’d definitely stay here again.

Great forest cabin with foliage views

Myself, my wife, our infant, and my brother and sister-in-law stayed at this cabin for the weekend to come and see the fall foliage. It's in a great location close to Alton Bay, but far enough out into the woods that you get lots of nature views. Visitor amenities in the cabin were great! Would rent again.

Great host!

Hanna was a wonderful host! When we had an issue with water pressure in the shower, she responded within minutes and had someone out to fix it within about an hour. The place is rustic but charming with a great fireplace!

My husband, son and I all enjoyed our stay at the very clean and cozy cabin. The pond is only a 2 minute walk and everything you need to enjoy it was provided. We enjoyed having breakfast on the back deck in the morning and fires in the firepit at night.

Perfect!

We had so much fun at this cabin! We felt instantly at home as soon as we walked in. The kids loved their rooms upstairs, all the beds and linens we comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. I would rent this home anytime of year and know we would have a great home base for our family. Can’t wait for our next weekend escape at the cabin!

Very sweet cabin!

I met up with a friend who lives 3 states away now...So we decided to have a weekend get-together - this was the perfect place! Clean and comfortable. The couch and chairs were very comfortable, beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well-supplied. We had a great time, and the hosts were very accessible. There had been a strong wind storm that had affected the utilities, but the hosts stayed informed and in touch with us, and everything was taken care of in a timely manner. I would recommend this cabin!

Wonderful little nook!

Great little place tucked away in Alton. The accommodations were as described, and as pictured. This little cabin is a very special place. Comfy, and cozy, even our teens came out of their spaces (beds) to come hang out at the table with us! Wi-Fi worked well, we didn’t get a chance to use the fireplace or the fire pit, or utilize the fun things in the garage. Host communication was excellent.

NH home away from home

Great area if you love outdoors like we do. The home was very clean and decorated nicely with the great outdoors feeling. Easy door access, beds were comfy, plenty of kitchen items (silverware/plates/drinking glass and mugs, etc). Plenty of towels and washclothes for use. We've stayed in many places that lacked items that you use on a daily basis, so appreciated the extra amenities. Biggest selling point was the outdoor fire pit with plenty of chairs. Will book again

“Fabulous weekend “

We stayed for the weekend, and we most definitely recommend it! Hanna was more than accommodating, professional and helpful. The house is beautiful, well decorated and well maintained. Hiking & Nascar

The cabin was cozy & comfortable, grill was awesome for the two of us and plenty of utensils & cookware. Location was convienent to Loudon to catch some car racing. We traveled with our two pups and there was plenty of hiking in the area which we utilized just about everyday. The neighborhood of the rental was quiet and very nice. We did not take advantage of any lakes or lake activities which we regret but the opportunity is there for all who want it. The owner Hanna is wonderful and such great communication. We definitely would stay there again! THANK YOU so much for letting us be your guests.

Autumn Colors Retreat

Wonderful cozy home on a mountain in the woods! We loved this place from the moment we walked in the back door. The kitchen is small but is adequately appointed to prepare a simple meal. Sofa is reclining and very comfortable, as is the recliner next to it. The fireplace is one of the best we’ve had in a rental, great draft with a very large firebox and working glass doors, so no concerns with smoke or sparks escaping. We never turned on the tv so can’t comment on that. Queen bed in the downstairs bedroom was very comfortable. The bathroom is more spacious than the pictures imply. Overall loved our stay here and can’t wait to come back! Very responsive host, thank you Hanna!!
