My wife and I truly enjoyed our 6 day 5 night stay here. It was perfect for our getaway. The house was very nice, and we felt extremely comfortable there.
It is a little tricky to find the first time, but easy once you figure out the twists & turns of the little streets in this humble neighborhood.
One note, this is not a place to stay if you have mobility issues. The step up to the porch is a doozy, the spiral stairs up to the bedroom are tight & steep, and the shower in the free-standing tub is slippery to get in & out of. None of these were a problem for us.
We always try to stay in old houses that have a history. This one did not disappoint. Our only wish is that the owner of this property would take the obvious history of the house and run with it. Old photos, nick-nacks, and written history & stories! But, we are self admitted (and proud) geeks & nerds when it comes to that stuff.
For food in the area, we didn't have a bad meal at all. Two meals really stuck out. The pizza at Driftwood Pizza in Alpine is top-notch, quite a surprise. Burgers at Local in Jackson were among the best we have ever had.
We really had no need to communicate with the owner/manager, just a couple of texts during check in. She was responsive and friendly. We did not have a need to talk again, everything else was smooth and effortless.
All in all, this is a fabulous place to base all of your Northwest Wyoming adventures from. We would highly recommend staying to anyone who asks. Hence the 5/5 rating.
Thank you!
