SNAKE!!

We opened the door to find a snake on the threshold. We did not stay and want a refund ASAP.

It was okay, not worth what I paid

The house isn’t sealed properly so it was freezing and when I checked under the bed to make sure none of our clothes got pushed under, it was filled with trash and dust. It was okay for what we needed it for. Definitely could use lots of cosmetic improvements and a deep clean. Also be prepared to wake up multiple times throughout the night from the trains. Wasn’t the worst, but not worth what I paid

No fun winter in Texas

The overall low rating has nothing to do with the owner. The property is fine, but being in Texas you can't be sure the power will work. The owner was responsive and did everything they could, but the state decided to shut down the power system.

The sheets in the bed smelled dirty and sweaty, the bathroom tub and walls of the shower were full of hair, the dishes were dirty. I decided to strip the bed the mattress was disgusting, no toilet paper, no coffee, the ice maker didn’t work and on top of that the fridge was dirty, the TV in the living only a few channels couldn’t even to watch that and the one in the bedroom was on timer so it would shut off!! I did reach out to the owner Patricia Flores, and before I knew I was talking to Chuck Sanders who had a horrible attitude because he more concerned about the refund and the complaint I forwarded photos of the unit that I was renting!!! I didn’t appreciate his tone and how he found every excuse of why the unit was in the condition it was!!! I did reply you being owner should follow on this units before renting them!! The garbage there’s no outside can to dispose of the garage that I accumulated had to walk down the block to throw the garage in the dumpster!! After the conversation with Mr. Sanders mentioned that he would provide breakfast for the inconvenience I never got and address!! So at this point I would appreciate a refund!!!

This was an easy drive into and out of Big Bend. Charles was very nice as we left our coats and he is mailing them to us. The house while not fancy was perfect for our getaway adventure. It has kitchen, dining/den, bath, laundry and king in bedroom. Perfect for our little family. Quiet. Alpine is a cute town. If you’re wanting to enjoy the park, this is a great alternative. Thanks Charles for hosting us!

Nice lil chill spot nestled in the middle of Alpine with easy access to the main street in town. Off street parking on a level slab is great for loading up the car in preparation for a Big Bend adventure. Owner is very nice, hence our second time renting with them. Thank you kindly!

Nice inside, good job of making property look nice

inside property looks nice, cleanliness surface wise was good but needs improvement. Outside looked junky-- curb appeal photos would not have resulted in us booking it, but overall, we had a good stay.

Perfect Stay!

Location was easy to find, close to downtown shops and restaurants. The place was super clean and the king size bed was very comfortable. We only stayed a night here but it was great! The owner was quick to reply with any questions. They left a sweet note on the door for us as a welcome, too!
