Fabulous Family Place

Great location and lovely home on Lake Huron with amazing views. Clean, comfortable rooms, great gathering spaces. We loved sitting on the deck and at the table near the shore. Alpena has much to offer and our host was helpful with suggestions.

Great stay!

We loved this home! The 5 bedrooms and 2-1/2 baths perfectly fit our family of 9. Upstairs downstairs areas, each with W/D kitchen facilities, were great! Also loved the spacious gathering areas, outside deck, and lakefront backyard with fire pit. No question that we WILL return to this home !

Exceptional accomodations

The home is very well designed and maintained for the ultimate vacation. The kitchen is well equipped and laid out for family meals. The common areas are beautifully appointed and comfortably furnished. The bedrooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. Although the beach is rocky, the views are spectacular and our family had fun fishing and kyaking.

Beautiful house

The house and location were perfect. We had an amazing stay. The water was warm- a little rockier than preferred, but was still very nice. We celebrated an engagement and a birthday! It was lovely. The owners were in quick and constant communication to make sure we were able to get in with no issues and immediately contacted us regarding “left behinds.”

Great Family Get Away

Stayed here with three families and three children aged 2 to 4. The house is beautiful, clean and well-maintained. A great layout and a spacious kitchen and dining area allowed us to enjoy all of our meals together. We managed the 2.5 bathrooms through planning and without challenges. The location on Lake Huron is just amazing and the grandkids enjoyed playing on the rocks. The Dinosaur Gardens with putt-putt golf was a great way to spend a morning with little ones.

The house and grounds were clean. The kitchen is very large and has seating for 13. The kitchen island is very large, which allows for several people to get involved with meal prep. The kitchen is well appointed. The kids had a great time exploring the beach. We played games in both the back and the front yards. The location provides easy access to Alpena's shopping and restaurants. The driveway is wide, paved, and can accommodate more than 4 vehicles. We would be happy to stay here again.

Very nice location and house

We had a lovely stay but 2.5 bathrooms wasn't quite enough for 6 ladies. We stayed in October for the leaf colors. The house is beautiful, nice decor and comfortable. Would stay again.

Excellent Vacation

This is a first-rate vacation home, beautifully located and extremely well maintained. There's plenty to do in Alpena: shipwreck tours, a fine museum, at least 2 very good brewpubs and outstanding deep-water lake fishing with Wipe Out Charters. Enthusiastically recommended!

Beautiful Thunder Bay Family Retreat

We booked this property for our annual multi-generational family vacation. Ages 4 months - 70 years enjoyed this beautiful home. The house was spacious and the perfect layout to allow our group to enjoy both community space and privacy. The kitchen/dining space was one of our favorite areas to gather to prepare and enjoy meals together. The deck provided a great space to relax and enjoy the beautiful lake view. The home was very well stocked with everything we needed for our stay. The owners were very responsive and helpful, and the daily trash pickup was a great added bonus. Also, the washers and dryers come in quite handy with kids and beach fun. Thanks for an amazing stay. We will be back!

House for family reunion vacation

House was great for a local family reunion. House was clean and well appointed. I didn’t check the listing well enough and didn’t realize that the place didn’t have AC. For the most part it was not an issue but the day we showed up was 90 degrees and humid. Thankfully it cooled off at night. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. Beach is rocky so bring water shoes!

Great lake front home for the whole family.

Thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend vacation at Lake Huron Lakefront home. We were a group of 11 adults, age 18-84 and one infant 11 months. Arrived later then expected on Wed night around 9pm. Could not find our access code. Messaged the property manager/owner Charles and got an immediate response within minutes and were inside the home. Beautiful, spacious, clean property with a spectacular view out the back windows and deck of Thunder Bay and Lake Huron. Plenty of room to spread out our large group both upstairs and down, with ample space upstairs where we could come together for meals or games. Beds were comfortable and accommodated our 11 adults easily with room for a pack and play for the infant. Full baths up and down as well as half bath on main made for little waiting for facilities. Property sits between houses on each side, however trees in front of the house and on each side give a real sense of privacy whether out front playing corn hole, or in the back at the firepit overlooking the lake. The beach is rocky as you would expect on Lake Huron. Sandy Beach within 5 minutes with beach volleyball, etc. Shipwreck Boat tour, Austin Brothers brewery were excellent. Charles was readily available when I had other questions about trash, etc. and returned my messages within minutes each time. Highly recommend this property for your group of any size. Would definitely return. Thank you for sharing your home.
