"Perfect place to stay in Agios! Right on the water walkable to the lake and tons of restaurants but a little more on the outskirts of the chaos. The staff are what make this place- they are truly all amazing and go above and beyond. We had a spa suite with a hot tub and just a regular ocean view room- nice room but I think you actually get a better view in the regular rooms. The spa bath is more like a one person jacuzzi because it’s very slippery and when we had two people the water started to overflow- not sure I’d pay extra for this next time but the size of our deck made up for it. Included breakfast every morning was pretty good- shout out to the morning British lady who served us she so lovely. There is no immediate parking but a free port parking lot within a few minute easy walk which we had no issues with. If we came back to Crete we would deff come back to casa Porto!"

"Will definitely return as such a beautiful place, the suite was nicely furnished, spacious with separate bedroom to lounge and scrupulously cleaned. The two pools, one salt one chlorine, were lovely and the sandy beach just a few steps down. The staff were all so nice. Taverna next door or 9 euro taxi to the lake in Agios Nikolaos. The restaurant onsite closed at 7pm, but that didn't bother us as preferred to go into Ag Nic anyway with its many vibrant bars and restaurants. We didn't think our breakfasts were particularly good, eg tea came ready poured, not the usual tea bag and hot water pot, so you had what you were given whether you wanted it weak or strong. No grilled tomatoes, no baked beans, no American/Scotch pancakes. Cappuccino was tepid and milk not very nice. We had better cappuccinos elsewhere. I could go on, but this wouldn't stop us coming again as the rest of it was just so amazing. Sorry chef."

"The house had everything we needed and Jenny had some great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. It was perfect for a group of 7 - all from different branches of the same family. Jenny made communication really easy and always got back to me. The week we were there was SUPER windy - like 20mph (30-32kph) the entire week - so we couldn’t take advantage of all the outdoor amenities, but what we thoroughly enjoyed what we could! There was lots to do nearby - we walked to the beach and to Ag. Nikolous. We’d stay again, for sure."
