"Canal view stay has to be one of the best BnB experiences that we have ever had. The comfort and home-feel of a BnB was combined with the attention to detail and service found within a design hotel. I was pleasantly surprised by the space that was larger than expected from the photos. The apartment is in an excellent location walking distance from supermarkets, restaurants, coffee shops and of course - Vondelpark. We became regulars at the bar next door that serves great food and drinks....

"Host was wonderful and helpful with tip to get around. The little pub down the street was friendly and the food great at a very good price. It was easy to get into Central Amsterdam, however you probably only want to do it once a day. We found that after a day in the Central City we were too tired to return at dinner time. Dining choices near the flat are plentiful and very good. Pizza down at the corner, and a 10+ minute walk to Lowlander is well worth the effort. Flat was clean, neat,...

"We had a wonderful stay and this is must visit place to make your holiday even more comfortable. Owner is very friendly and down to earth. Rooms are very cozy and there is alot of space to keep your belongings. Vintage dutch 3 storey house that has luxurious designed living rooms, bedroom and kitchen. Worth every penny and it is located right on the canal with amazing views and just a 5 min walk from the nearest tram station. I would be visiting again hopefully soon. "

"A unique spot and a unique room. Just be aware it is a typical old European(steep and narrow) climb to the rooms. Check in is in the bar/restaurant. They were very accommodating for my wife’s gluten allergy for breakfast and for supper. A little out of the way,but we used a park and ride to get into Amsterdam. "

With the canals and open fields, it was a serene place. The compoind includes campgrounds and the campers were very quiet and respectful. Hughly recommned! "

"I stayed here for 10 days and it was just what I wanted — plus the landlady is the kindest, sweetest person ever! She cheerfully helped me wrestle my heavy suitcase down the stairs and deal with the King’s Day crowds. A truly gracious and kindhearted host!! The apartment was spotless with a very comfy bed and the bathroom was also spotless and fully modernized. "The property owner, Marion, was absolutely outstanding. She gave us tips on what to see, where to eat and how to get there. She checked daily to see if we needed anything and that the apartment was clean. The two bedrooms were large and the beds comfortable. The location is excellent for seeing the sights and it felt like home after a hard day of sightseeing. The apartment is on the 4th floor but we didn’t have a problem even though we are in our late 70s. A lovely stay and a lovely manager."

"We truly enjoyed our visit to Amsterdam and our stay at the African Lily. The hosts were very warm and welcoming and took the time to make sure we were comfortable. The apartment is close to everything and we were able to walk to all of our destinations in the city. We loved staying there and will definitely be back when we are in Amsterdam again."

"I travelled with my husband, mother and baby. The place is as pictured, very clean, and we were very comfortable! The windows overlooking the canal were the highlight for sure. Ania received us warmly, was friendly, and addressed any needs we had although not many. Communication with Wytse was flawless for our arrival. The location is perfect and we walked everywhere with ease! I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. Of note, I would no not underestimate the steep spiral...

"This was the perfect place to lay our heads for our time in Amsterdam. Very close to many different attractions and plenty of restaurants and cafes. Roy was so accommodating and welcoming. We only stayed two days, but it made it easy to see the city in our short time here. Would recommend to anyone. The apartment is two bedrooms, a shower, a toilet and a kitchenette. Plus the owner has a beautiful dog that he will introduce you to :) Thanks again Roy! You are a great asset to any traveler....
