We have multiple access points to the park that are more off the beaten path than the crowded trails around Estes Park. We also have other local trails that are outside the park and equally magnificent. Ferncliff is located 3 miles from the St. Vrain mountain trailhead, 6 miles from the Wild Basin trailhead, and 9 miles to the Longs Peak trailhead. Lastly, we're 10 miles from a local hidden gem called Ceran Saint Vrain trailhead.

We loved staying here. We chose to stay here instead of Estes Park and it was a great choice. The creek is so peaceful to listen to and everyone loved the hot tub. It was a very relaxing vacation and that would not have been possible if we stayed anywhere else! The amount of space is great for families and allowing everyone to spread out and have their own space.
The cabin was clean, updated and exceeded our expectations. The outdoor spaces are the areas we enjoyed the most. Sipping coffee creek side in the morning was a great way to start the day. After long days of hiking, evening soaks in the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind. I would highly recommend Sleepy Hollow at Ferncliff.
The property was very clean, it matched the description. The manager had very good communication even send pin location which it made it easy to find the place specifically because we arrived late. We lo e this property and recommend to anyone who is thinking about traveling to the rockies.
We absolutely adored this property!! The cabin was just the start, amazing and upgraded but still an old cabin feel to it. The kids loved the bunkhouse and felt so grown up having their own space. The longhouse with hot tub and the sitting area on the river were the icing to the cake that is this property. Can’t wait to stay again.

Awesome steam showers!
We enjoyed our time here. The sounds of the creek were wonderful to listen to in the morning. The cabin is fun and the decor was great, lots of fun little finds throughout, a nice mix of the original cabin and new updates. The owners were really responsive when we had an issue, and spent several hours trying to fix it over the weekend. The lights and steam in the shower were great! If you are really sensitive to smell, there was a cabin-y smell that I've had a hard time getting out of my clothes, but my husband didn't notice it at all. The location was closer to the convenience store than we expected, but it wasn't a problem and was very quiet the whole time.
We loved staying at this cabin! My husband and I brought our 2 kids for vacation and the space was perfect for us. Great kitchen with plenty of cookware, dishes and appliances to prepare our meals; very comfortable beds, some cool features like the electric fireplaces and light-up sink our kids enjoyed. The spa barn was so nice to be able to relax in the hot tub, do some exercise or yoga, or just sit and read. Our kids loved playing in the stream and making s’mores by the fire pit. We also loved the location; we wanted to visit Estes Park but I’m so glad we stayed a little outside of town for the quiet, slower pace. We enjoyed the close access to lots of great trails as well. The hosts were super helpful and quick to respond with any questions we had, and always so friendly. We will definitely be back to stay again if we find ourselves visiting RMNP!
The cabin is just wonderful. It is so well maintained and wonderfully appointed. Best vrbo I've been to in terms of how well appointed it was. The creek is very peaceful. Amazing response from the caretaker when we needed trash removal or gas. Great to hang out at the cedar hot tub. Just wonderful all over. So well kept. It is between two highways and at first I was concerned but even during labor day weekend basically no cars drive by and it is very quiet. The liquor store and convenience store are a good thing to have there. Amazing hikes in the area. The beds were very very comfortable as were the bathrooms. Overall an excellent attention to detail and a very special property. We hope to be able to come back soon.
Absolutely stunning property. Everything we could possibly need was provided!!! Excellent location for RMNP hiking, while still having the privacy and peaceful surroundings we love….The Host/s were FABULOUS !!!! Went on and above .
Our family of four, two adults and two kids (10 and 5) loved our stay at Sleepy Hollow. It was super comfortable and very well equipped. The owners were a pleasure to communicate with and very accommodating. Our kids were excited about the bunkhouse, but a little nervous to be in a separate building. They ended up sharing the second bedroom in the main house. The outdoor space was amazing! We're definitely hoping to come back!
Cabin, and property were absolutely beautiful. Very private and relaxing, very clean and comfortable. Good location, I would 100% stay here again, it does not disappoint!
We came in for a weekend wedding and enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, the hot tub was out of commission since the previous guests' stay but the owner tried valiantly to have it fixed, but to no avail.
Beautiful secluded area with a store really close by for any last minute needs. Great space for entertaining. We had a group of us rent this cabin to stay at while getting married down the road at Wild Basin Lodge. All the amenities you need, cute space for entertaining, comfortable beds, great kitchen and grill. Highly recommend this cabin, will likely rent again next time we have a group function or need a couples weekend away!
This cabin is amazing! Loved by adults and the kids! Situated in Roosevelt National Forest, which is right outside of Rocky Mountain National Park, with the same topography minus the crowds, this cabin is a little slice of heaven.
Mornings were spent sipping coffee Creekside, amateur drumming and some yoga in front of the Tibetan alter – yoga mats were provided. Afternoons were spent on incredible hikes most within a 20 minute drive and evenings spent grilling and soaking in the hot tub. Internet service was great. The mattress and luxury bedding soothed my sore muscles and I woke up rejuvenated and ready to hike again. The cabin has a vibe that gives way to creativity – we were inspired to paint and journal.
The renovation of this 100 year old cabin is just incredible. They preserved the rustic history and added modern comforts with a lot of originality and style. The woodwork and stone throughout the cabin - well, it felt like we were staying in a work of art. The photos don’t capture the magic of these details.
There was a cabinet full of board games, several books to chose from, and as I said above, multiple instruments, including leather drums, a guitar, and a tambourine.
The cabin is located right next to a small grocery store, which was very convenient, and there were enough cabins around that you don’t feel totally isolated, but you are secluded enough where you really feel like you are getting away from the world. We will definitely return!
We had a great long weekend in Ferncliff. We were there for a wedding at Wildridge Lodge and everything was spectacular. It is close to hiking, but the little town is so charming that you feel like you are part of a family. We ended up having three meals in Ferncliff, at the three restaurants. Great home cooked breakfast. Amazing tacos for lunch another day. Solid pizza for dinner on our last day. The cabin was an amazing mix of old Colorado and new luxurious glamping. Hot tub, yoga studio, steam showers!! Lap of luxury packaged in an old western feel. Ferncliff fuel had a decent selection of staples. We did the meadow hike just up the road and it was beautiful and a bit challenging. Would definitely come back if we are in the area!
Super easy check in and close proximity to our friends wedding event. The place exceeded our expectations in comfort, tranquility, and just overall homieness. We will definitely be back!
Beautiful cabins. Family enjoyed spending time in the hot tub in the evenings after fishing and hiking nearby. The steam showers were a hit with my boys. Although the stream was small we enjoyed sitting outside and listening to it. Close enough to Estes Park but far enough away to get away from the hustle.
Our family of 5, with 3 young boys, thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home! The entire property was beautiful with much thought given to the decor & setup. It had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Our boys really enjoyed the teepee & creek! The close proximity to Estes Park & RMNP was very convenient. We can’t wait to return!
Had a wonderful time, beautiful property. Views of wildlife, even had a bear pass by the front of cabin. It was awesome having creek run through property and the sounds. Hot tub great for relaxing. Just no bathroom at bunk house, only an out house, but for us it wasn’t an issue. Overall it is a beautiful property, enjoyed our stay, owners very friendly and quick response to any questions. We will stay there again.
The property was gorgeous and a perfect location. Not too far from estes park but far enough for peace and relaxation. The host was also very accommodating when we had a situation come up with our daughter. 10/10 would gladly use them again!
