The best area to stay in Alithini is the village centre, particularly around the main square.

This area is the heart of Alithini, offering a blend of traditional Cretan life and convenient access to local amenities. You'll find charming tavernas serving authentic dishes, small shops selling local produce and crafts, and the village's historic church, Agia Paraskevi, all within easy walking distance. The streets here are typically narrow and winding, great for leisurely strolls.

Couples looking for a quiet and authentic experience will find the village centre ideal. It offers a chance to experience local culture and enjoy peaceful evenings, perhaps with a glass of local wine on a taverna terrace. The pace of life is relaxed, providing a wonderful escape from busier tourist spots.

For those seeking a bit more space and perhaps a private pool, the outskirts of the village offer villas and larger holiday homes. These properties often provide stunning views of the surrounding olive groves and mountains, while still being a short drive or a pleasant walk from the village amenities.
