Amazing stay
Very nice and clean villa with easy access to everything. Main road noise wasn't a problem to us. The lady that met us on arrival and departure was extremely helpful and friendly. Will be back.

Fantastic villa!
Just returned from a family holiday at this beautiful villa. We had plenty contact from Paula with directions and times and she met us there. Facilities were excellent and everything thought of to make a great stay. Rural location so car needed which suited us perfectly. Very modern and stylish decor inside and great pool area. Would highly recommend and hoping to return.

Fantastic set up, great location
Only half-hour ish from the airport, 15mins drive to pretty much any local attraction. Property was very large for a 4 bedroom place. It was well presented, modern and in good condition. The traffic noise seemed to fade in the afternoon (which may be down to wind or heat or something else sciencey). It bothered us at first but then we forgot about it. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful, clean and well equipped villa with A/C, which was most welcome in the very hot weather during our stay. Villa has a lovely pool and is very conveniently situated near the bustling town of Tavira. The only downside is its location close to the A22 and the associated traffic noise.

Fantastic villa, semi rural location but close to facilities
Lovely spacious villa, with four good sized bedrooms, 3 of which have large double beds, the fourth room has 2 single beds. All rooms had aircon, lovely en-suite bathrooms, shutters on the windows (which helped keep the rooms cool) and plenty of storage. Well equipped kitchen, large fridge freezer with an ice maker and drinking water, good quality bed linen and plenty of towels, including pool/beach towels. The patio area is lovely (but in need of a little attention) with plenty of pool chairs, loungers, bbq area etc. Although some loungers were looking a little tired and two were broken, we advised our contact and it was sorted out almost immediately and a new larger parasol was provided, which was very much appreciated. Not the owners fault but there are a lot of dogs around who think they are cockerel’s, as they did like barking together, in unison, at dawn. Although it’s a rural location, it’s close to the motorway, so you did get a bit of traffic noise, it didn’t bother us that much. Tiny tip - Take plenty of mosquito repellent and close windows before the sun goes down. Our contact (Paula) was extremely helpful and the welcome pack of breads, cheese and meats etc, after a long day of travelling and late evening arrival was amazing and really appreciated. We would definitely return, lovely villa indeed.

Lovely Villa
The villa was very spacious and well equipped. Beds were comfortable. We asked for a new frying pan and some more logs, as it was cool the first couple of evenings, and were very impressed when these were brought promptly. The pool and terrace were also very large. Unfortunately we could hear traffic at all times as there is a motorway/main road nearby. We were also hugely disturbed during the day and through the night by barking dogs which I appreciate is not the owner’s fault but feel he should try to address this with the dogs’ owners. Overall we had a lovely time.

Spacious, well appointed villa with large pool
Spacious, well equipped and clean villa located in the countryside only minutes from Tavira. Very comfortable. We were only two but the four en- suite bedrooms makes it ideal for a large famlly or group. Beautiful large pool and lots of outside seating space - shaded or open. Communication with the owner was fast and helpful. Paula, who speaks good English, was very flexible with the check-in and we appreciated the generous welcome 'pack'. We would love to return and have no hesitation in recommending a stay here.

Secluded high quality villa
My husband and I stayed at the spacious Villa Laurinha with another couple. We both had large, beautifully decorated en-suite bedrooms with patio doors to the pool area. There were a further 2 en-suite bedrooms with windows rather than patio doors. The owners have done much to make it a home from home with candles, books, maps and kitchen essentials. The modern interior is complimented by the very large veranda area, where we ate outside, and patio leading to the large pool. The land around the villa is full of lovely plants. If we come back to Tavira we’ll definitely book this villa again.

Wonderful villa
It is a large villa, the quality is so good you can tell it is regularly visited by the owners as a second home and not just for rental. A car is a must! But it is then only a short drive to many picturesque villages with lots of bars and restaurants, beaches etc etc. I found both the owner and manager to be most helpful from start to finish. Our return flight was at 9pm, so requested a late checkout - as no-one had booked the following day this was not a problem. This made our last day so much easier than if we had to check out at 10am. We left around 5pm!! When we arrived I sent a text to let the manager know we were just getting some shopping and expected time of arrival. Again, most helpful - he advised that getting shopping as soon as you arrive can be a sign to thieves as the weight of your luggage lowers the suspension of the car and the thieves wait for you to enter the supermarket and then steal your suitcases. So bearing this in mind he checked to see if the villa was ready, it was, so he suggested we go to the villa first, drop off our suitcases and then get our shopping. I also found that having a supply of cleaning products including washing powder was great. Often you have to buy a full pack and you probably only need a couple of capsules. A wonderful American fridge freezer - with ice and chilled water - my husband now wants one!! He also wants the Dolce Gustos coffee maker - they left the pods for us too - very nice! Outside is very spacious with 5 tables in total - one at the front, 2 on the raised patio, one just in front of the raised patio and one by the pool. You can chose to sit in the sun or shade as there is always a table in either. There were also 8 sunloungers (at least) and towels were provided for both by the pool and bathroom use. You can climb the stairs to the roof terrace - great views. The pool is large! There are 4 bedrooms and each is on suite - the bathrooms are very modern and clean - good quality! It was our first time to Portugal and I am so glad we chose this villa - we will definately return

Another excellent holiday here
This was our third consecutive year in the villa, and it was as perfect as always. Excellent location, about 25 minutes from Faro airport, modern spacious villa, big swimming pool, secluded spot but only about 10 minute drive into Tavira, 10-15 minutes to where you get ferry to beach, Aldi less than 5 minutes away! We had another lovely stay here, would recommend the villa to everyone! The kids start school this year but we are hoping to come back in the summer holidays next year if we can!

We have just returned from a weeks holiday in this villa, the place is very spacious clean and modern it has everything you need from a fully loaded kitchen to WiFi. We took our grandchildren with us that range from 4 years to one and they had all our needs covered from high chair to cot. Two things to think about the swimming pool does not have an alarm or fence and is very deep one end . If you arrive after 6 pm you have to pay a small fee for a late arrival which we did not know about. As a suggestion a welcome pack would be a good idea if you are arriving later in the evening

Beautiful villa
Villa Laurinha is a spotlessly clean, very well appointed and comfortable villa. The bedrooms are large and each bedroom has it's own beautiful ensuite. The pool terrace is fabulous - it is huge . There is plenty outside furniture for relaxing and sunbathing. There is some traffic noise but we did not find it intrusive and it wasn't audible inside the villa . We all agreed we would be happy to return to the villa .

Fabulous villa
Absolutely superb. Great location ( 5 minutes and you are into Tavira) excellent outside space for sunbathing for more than eight people. The inside of the house is extremely large with four spacious bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms. The living area is superb, it has all the room you could ask for. The two problems we had at the beginning of our stay were dealt with extremely quickly and our thanks go to the owner , Jane and her husband Darren for all there help. Cleaners came in every Saturday and cleaned the villa, replacing all bed linen and towels and were extremely thorough. We would highly recommend the Villa and intend to stay here in the future. Great villa and everything worked well!
We had 6 nights with our adult children so appreciated the large living space, wifi, en suite rooms and the bedroom air conditioning. The welcome worked well and helped us to find it easily - its a way up the bumpy lane to the villa. Worth noting there isnt much in the village nearby, so we went to Tavira mostly (5 miles or so) and so it wouldn't work easily to stay there without a hire car. our hire car people would have charged extra to go to Spain, so check this out if you want to do this - its not far.

Top quality villa with excellent fixtures and fittings, great outside space and pool.
Great holiday. Local village and town of Tavira are within easy reach and are great for coffee's in the day and restaurants at night. Complemented by a lovely.spotlessly clean, well equipped villa with lovely terrace, gardens and pool. Terry was very helpful with information ahead of arrival and Jane was a great contact during our stay and was always available for any help we needed. A great villa and management team which all contributed to an excellent holiday.

We stayed here last year and loved it so we booked again this year! Villa is lovely and spacious and in a secluded spot. It is very peaceful, easy access to motorway, only about 30 minutes from Faro airport. Aldi less than 10 minutes drive away, beach about 10/15 minute drive (you have to drive to the little ferry to take you to the beach- ferry 10/15 minutes and 2 Euro for return ticket). We had another wonderful stay and are hoping to come back next year! Would recommend this villa to everyone.

I am sorry you did not think the villa was great and you had problems. If you had notified us of any issues early in your stay these would have been rectified immediately. The pool is maintained and kept spotless by professional pool cleaning company who visits and cleans it weekly. However, in breezy conditions we do have leaves and flower petals which can be blown into the pool. There is a net provided for removing this kind of debris. As for a toilet seat being loose, I can only apologize and assume it was overlooked by the cleaner, when doing a changeover clean. We would have been happy to rectify this if we had been made aware. I am sorry that your review is a little unbalanced and does not mention all of the great facilities we have at the villa and the general maintenance of all the other aspects. We feel it is a little unfair, but it is your right and if we can help to make your stay better next time, please just let us know. As you can see from other reviews, the villa is loved by many and hopefully shows that we do all we can to make our guests stay comfortable and as special as possible.

Very good!!!
We had a wonderful stay at Villa Laurinda. The house is great, the rooms, living room and kitchen are big and the outside areas are very good as well. It was a very sunny weekend although not warm enough to allow us into the pool. Still we got some sun and cooked wonderful meat on the barbecue. We'll be back.

Fantastic holiday - loads of space, great facilities and quiet location
We have just come back from a lovely 10 day holiday at Villa Laurinha (4 adults and 4 children ranging from age 7 to 15). The villa itself has so much space both inside and out, was really clean and very nicely furnished and well equipped - there was everything you could need. The ensuites to each bedroom is a definite bonus and all the bedrooms are very spacious. The villa is close to the motorway and you do hear a minor bit of traffic noise but nothing that spoils the otherwise incredibly tranquil and secluded area - you can barely see any other properties and have a beautiful view across the countryside from the pool terrace. The large outdoor terraced area was a big hit with all of us, enough space for playing and sunbathing, or sitting under the veranda in the shade when it got too hot! The pool is a really good size, although we were slightly unlucky with it being end of season and going a bit 'green' and cloudy - not that it stopped us from enjoying it every day, and it is regularly serviced by the pool man, but that is the only real reason we have given 4 stars not 5. Jane and Darren were so helpful with our very minor queries and we appreciated the change of bedding and floor cleaning mid stay. We loved Tavira (fantastic gelato and custard tarts!) and Barril beach, as well as enjoying really good value meals at both O Forno in Santo Estavao and Luis do Prego in Prego. Couple of small tips for prospective visitors - you need to request the welcome pack in advance, it isn't there on arrival as standard, and the 'full Sky satellite package' wasn't working when we were there, just limited English channels from a European satellite. Thank you to Terry for sharing your lovely villa, and to Jane and Darren for your help and local advice. We would love to go back some time, both to the villa and to the area, which is an unspoilt gem in the Algarve.

Minor issues but generally good
Our stay was generally very good. We had a few observations though. On arrival we found that the previous party had left at 7am whilst we arrived in the village in the morning but sat in the restaurant until 4pm awaiting entry. The welcome pack was partially in existence and the maid service never materialised so we washed our own sheets. We also found that for the two twelve days of our stay the restaurant, the only one in the village, closed two days after we arrived and re-opened the night before we left. All that aside the villa was lovely, the area easily accessible to coast with amenities within close driving distance and we would recommend the villa to thers and go again ourselves.

Beautiful villa, perfect place to relax
We had the pleasure of staying in this lovely villa for a week, we just got back home on Saturday. There were 6 adults and 2 toddlers and we all had a perfect holiday. The villa is beautiful, spacious, modern, clean, light and airy and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is huge, as is the dining room/tv area (although the weather was too nice to stay indoors!). Each bedroom had an en suite which was amazing as everyone had their own privacy and the pool was very big. The outdoor patio area was huge and the pool towels were a lovely extra touch. The directions to meet Jane at the nearby water tower were easy to follow and she and her husband were very helpful during our stay - not that there were any problems at all. The area where the villa is situated is nice and private, and it only took us about 15 minutes to drive to the beach (you have to get a boat to the beach but it doesn't take long), plus it's only about 30 minutes from Faro airport so not too much driving to get to your holiday! We are definitely going to book this villa again next year, we are all so excited about returning!! I would recommend this villa to everyone!

This is a fabulous place with all you need to make your stay a very enjoyable one. Whilst it is a self catering vila, there were many little unexpected fab extras when we arrived. As a family of 6 everyone from the youngest 8 year old to the oldest guest 'grandma' enjoyed it thoroughly. Swimming was a highlight with alk the pool toys which made it much more fun for the boys! The lovely terrace was a fab place for that desperate glass of wine after a long day at the beach or for a very needed breakfast! Manuel the gardener was lovely bringing us fresh oranges! Terry, thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful place!

Wir waren sehr begeistert von der Unterkunft. Wir haben uns herzlich empfangen gefühlt und vom ersten Moment wie zu Hause. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß und die Betten sehr gemütlich. Die Küche sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Größe des Pools unschlagbar. Nach 11 Tagen in dem wunderschönen Haus und der perfekte Umgebung von Tavira fahren wir erholt wieder nach Hause.

Ein rund um klasse Urlaub in einem super Ferienhaus
Großes Ferienhaus, inkl. großem Pool bei schönstem Oktober-Wetter. Was will man mehr. 4 Schlafräume (für zwei Personen) inkl. eigenem Bad, welches über Badewanne, Dusche und WC verfügt. (Manko, Wasserdruck lässt etwas zu wünschen übrig). Küche gut eingerichtet. (Manko, Geschirrspüler bekomtm das Geschirr nicht richtig gesäubert, häufiges Abwaschen von Hand notwendig.) Kommunikation zum und mit dem Vermieter Top. Großer Wohnbereich, wäre bei schlechtem Wetter sehr gut geignet sich die Zeit zu vertreiben. Wurde kaum genutzt, bis gar nicht genutzt. Das Haus liegt abgelegen, jedoch sind unterschiedliche Stände in ca. 30 Minuten Fahrzeit zu erreichen. Einkaufsmöglichkeit, Supermarkt in ca. 10-15 Minuten erreicbbar. Manko ... Schnellstraße in er Nähe des Hauses geht aus dem Inserat nicht hervor. Fraulaufende Hunde können auch etwas stören, wenn man meint man möchte einen Spaziergang machen. Wobei ein Spaziergang eher in der Gegend eher keinen Sinn macht. Die Hunde bellen recht viel und teilweise auch sehr früh, ersetzten teilweise einen Hanhn und werden auch mal vor der Haustür vorstellig, tuen aber wahrscheinlich nichts (scheinen noch recht jung zu sein, bin kein Hundekenner). Drauf ankommen lassen wollte ich die Begegnung mit den Hunden aber auch nicht. Unterm Strich, zwei wundervolle und erholsame Wochen, gehabt.

Hervorragende Villa mit reichlich Platz und wunderschönem Pool!
Die Villa ist bietet unglaublich viel Platz, ist sehr sauber und perfekt ausgestattet. Der Pool ist sehr groß und hat eine tolle Tiefe, so dass man richtig schwimmen kann (Hinweis: der Pool wird nur beheizt, wenn man dieses wünscht und dann gegen eine Gebühr pro Woche). Während unserer Zeit im September war dieser aber ausreichend warm und sehr angenehm. Leider konnten wir ihn nicht immer beleuchten, da die Elektrik nicht mitspielte. Im Haus findet sich alles was man benötigt um dort auch für eine längere Zeit zu wohnen. Die Badezimmer sind sehr modern und schick. Die Schlafzimmer sind überdurchschnittlich geräumig und bieten jede Menge Stauraum. Für Handtücher und Pooltücher ist gesorgt und ansonsten kann man zwischendurch auch mal schnell eine Waschmaschine anwerfen. Toilettenpapier war bei uns ausreichend vorhanden, ebenso Seife am Waschbecken. Bettwäsche und Handtücher werden 1 Mal pro Woche gewechselt und dann auch gewischt. Wohnzimmer und Essbereich sind sehr geräumig, die Küche bietet neben dem großen amerikanischen Kühlschrank und Geschirrspüler alles was man braucht. Der Fernseher bietet als deutsches Programm nur Deutsche Welle, aber wer braucht schon einen Fernseher im Urlaub:-)! Ein Auto sollte gemietet werden. Den Ort kann man evtl. noch zu Fuß besuchen, aber um Tavira, Strände und Supermärkte für Einkäufe zu erreichen benötigt man zwingend ein Auto. Zudem wäre es zu Fuß sehr dunkel zu gehen, da die Wege kaum beleuchtet sind. Den Grill haben wir nur ein Mal ausprobiert, ist aber ok. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und da wir nur zu zweit in dem riesigen Haus waren haben wir den Luxus von so viel Platz sehr genossen. Man kann nirgends beobachtet werden, das macht es sehr angenehm. Wir können diese Villa uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Einzige kleines Manko, aber wohl nicht zu ändern, ist die Autobahn, die ein Stück hinter dem Anwesen verläuft. Diese ist doch lauter als wir gedacht haben (aus anderen Bewertungen) und hat uns auch im Schlaf gestört. Zudem gibt es ein paar Hunde in der Gegend, die nicht aufhörten zu bellen. Hierfür können aber die Besitzer der Villa nichts und diese ist wie gesagt hervorragend! Wir werden sehr gerne wieder kommen. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit! Grüße Gaby & Olli
