Great B&B. Luanna was a gracious host. Breakfast was good, and a nice rooftop view added to the experience. A welcome bottle of wine was provided as well. Highly recommend!

Residence at Lagos exceeded our expectations. Luana and the whole staff were welcoming, friendly, and very helpful. The location is perfect for visiting shops, restaurants, the marina, and historical places. We recommend it highly to anyone wanting a wonderful Lagos experience.

It is a beautiful guest house with lovely appointments. Very close to the center of town, dining, shopping, and historical sites.Our room was very comfortable and with ample room. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast and breakfast area were excellent. A great find and value.

Luana was welcoming from the moment we entered. She provided us a tour of the establishment and made it feel like home. It’s steps away from so much action: restaurants, stores and cafes. By far, the only 10/10 I have stayed at in years. I would stay here again and wish I had a longer stay.

The young woman who greeted us and gave us a tour was so friendly and helpful. We just wish we could have stayed longer. Location was awesome. Walking distance to nightlife, bus & train station, marina and beaches. So many restaurants close by and music in the plazas. Wonderful stay.

Beautiful “old style” hotel
Great location close to the city center, marina and beach. Very nice boutique hotel with a handful of rooms. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The inside was beautiful with lots of quiet areas to sit and relax. The front door was always locked which was great for added security (we never felt unsafe anywhere we went in Lagos). We would definitely come back and stay again.

The overall stay was nice, but the mattress is way too firm/hard and springy, and the wifi was in and out throughout our stay. Not reliable wifi, and when we tried to contact the receptionist, she was never to be found. We had to go to local cafés to get wifi. The breakfast covers the basics, which is good. The place is very clean, and is in a great area, close to the town centre, cute shops, and good restaurants. 😊

Residence Lagos is a lovely property ideally situated in the historic section of the city just up the hill from the restaurants, bars, and shops. It is within walking distance of the marina and Praia dos Estudantes [beach]. The room was beautiful and well-maintained. I received an entire bottle of rose which was very generous and more than I could drink. They bring a large breakfast to your door in a basket and you can choose to eat in the indoor dining area, the 2nd story balcony, or a quaint courtyard on the ground floor. I stayed two nights and wished that they had had availability as I would have extended my stay. I would definitely stay at Residencia again--in fact, I would be disappointed staying anywhere else in Lagos. Highly recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Residence Lagos esp. the view from our patio room was stunning and it was delightful to have their delicious breakfast and freshest orange juice out on the balcony. The staff though, is probably its best feature, they went above and beyond suggesting other activities/watching our luggage when our tours canceled due to bad weather.

Great accommodation in a fantastic location! Staff are lovely, and breakfast delivered to our door (due to COVID times) was a treat. There is also plenty of free parking nearby. I would come back and stay here again.

This is a lovely place with very friendly and accommodating staff. Careful on the roads if you're driving, and he prepared to park about five-minute walk away. Really worth it though!

A Gem
What a great little spot, just out of the fray of the main squares. Really clean, well furnished rooms and public spaces. Best of all the friendly greeting and the scrumptious breakfast. We’d come back to stay longer. Highly recommended.

A little disappointed
The location is great. Close to restaurants, beaches and other activities . The check in and check out service was awesome. We only stay for one night. We stayed at the downstairs room. It was very noisy upstairs on the second and third floor. I can hear people getting together in the “ living room” area. The noise did not stop till midnight and it was LOUD!!!

Location is great
This location is great, you can walk to just about anything in Lagos you want to see. The gal that checks you in and check you out is a wonderful young woman… The rooms are comfortable and large, but now the bad news is even though they say parking is available parking in Lagos is a nightmare. Whenever I went somewhere I had a hard time finding a place to park my car, I came out right before I left but I had to park a long ways away and my car had been banged up. It’s a rental car so what the hell? Right? Again keep in mind even though they claim there is free parking close by… There is isn’t.

Lovely B&B in a great location close to the city center. The ladies there were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast offered a nice variety of cold items. Just be aware that, as is common in the cities of the Algarve, the streets are very narrow and parking spots can be difficult to find. It's much easier to park at Estrada do Biker which is a free parking lot just a 5-minute walk away.

Staff was friendly but did not speak good English. I asked if they would call a restaurant for us to make a dinner reservation and the lady had to call her boss to ask him - he said he wouldn't do it. Don't try to drive into town to the hotel - park at one of the public parking places outside the city and take the short walk to the hotel.

A mixed experience
There are many things to love about this hotel, particularly the style, decor, and delicious breakfasts, but for us the experience was let down by a few things. 1. We were allocated the ground floor room and this had an old wardrobe which smelt terribly musty. We therefore didn't use it and left most of our clothes in our suitcase, but the odour pervaded the air in the room and none of the items that had been exposed to the room could be worn again once we'd moved on to our next destination because of their musty smell. 2. Although the shower was wonderful, there was no door or curtain so the water splashed onto the bathroom floor and made it exceeding slippery. 3. The bathroom towels were thin and once wet had a terrible musty smell to them. 4. There was a clunky pipe-type noise early in the mornings which woke us up. We were below the breakfast area so we guessed it was probably heating or hot water heating up for the kitchen and bathrooms.

The Residence is a delight, from its position in the town to its internal courtyard and terrace, its stylish decor to the personal service at breakfast; this was our second visit and met the highest standards once again.
