Wonderful Villa
Perfectly matched the description. Very well equipped. Couldn't have asked for better communication or support from the owner or Teresa. Nothing was too much trouble. Pool was terrific to have in the hot weather. We agree with others that you really need a car which we did anyway.

Stunning villa
This is an absolutely beautiful villa. We were a family of 7 adults and 2 young children. Not ideal access to pool for young children and area around is rough but it was beautiful pool and we had lots of fun. It is manageable but something to be aware of which we were it is clear in villa description. Fab accommodation for 6 with kids. They provided the cot and z bed needed. Plenty of space for everyone. Teresa couldn’t be more helpful. Fully air conditioned. Sao Bras only 6 mins away for food etc. 30 mins from airport. I would stay again, it is very rural which is beautiful but if you have a a problem with insects not the place for you. I would highly recommend.

Hi Natalie, Thank you for your lovely review! I am very happy that you had a great holiday in Vila Lua. You are right: for families with small children that are not able to swim yet, the house is not recommended. I always tell this to people in advance. For families with small babies that cannot crawl yet the house is suitable. We have a camping bed for babies and a baby chair. The house is in the countryside, so yes, insects are there. But the bees in the lavender are usually more interested in flowers than in people:-) You are always most welcome to come back! Angela I

Great Villa
Had a nice relaxing 1 weeks break at Villa Lua the Villa is very spacious and clean the Garden is beautiful with lovely views of the countryside. Enjoyed swimming in the pool which was much larger than most pools. Thersa the housekeeper is a lovely lady and Angela the Villa owner promptly repsponed to emails etc. Thank you Angela Kind Regards Suzanne&Tony

Excellent Stay
Villa Lua offers great value for money. The villa is very spacious, extremely clean and well provisioned. The pool is large and well situated. The only areas of improvement would be slightly better lighting outside & the paving by the pool to be redone. Otherwise, we had an extremely enjoyable stay. Teresa was a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome & was always available for any questions we had.

Excellent from start to finish. Teresa (the housekeeper) was fantastic making sure our stay was great without being obtrusive. The accommodation was as advertised with a fantastic pool which easily accommodated family of 6. Would not hesitate to recommend and genuinely hope to return.

Family holiday with teenagers
We spent a week at Angela’s villa and had a fabulous time. Everything was perfect from the early booking process, to arrivals and then the stay. Angela made everything very straightforward and was a great host throughout. When we arrived Teresa and Ze kindly met us and made sure everything was in order for our holiday. We wanted a quiet break away from the busy coastline. That is exactly what we got and the villa has plenty of space, was clean with all the facilities you need. There was a large pool to relax at which was ideal for teenage children (16-19). We spent most days and evenings at the villa and took some trips to Tavira (15 mins) and Villamoura (30 mins). This villa is perfect for large groups of friends or a family. There are steps down to the pool which may not be ideal for very young children. The location is in the hills about 30 mins from Faro airport and you will definitely need a car. However the nearest large supermarket is less than 10 minutes drive away. We would highly recommend this Villa for a holiday.

Love the villa and surrounding area
Perfect hideaway for our winter break. Beautiful Vila minimalist design but Homely decorated. Lost's of seating areas outside and inside. Rural Location but only 5/10 min from Sao Bras, which has everything you need. Manager Teresa is very helpful and speaks English very well.

A great holiday!!!!!
We have just enjoyed a fantastic two weeks at Vila Lua. Angela was helpful and very responsive to questions asked before booking, making the whole process much easier than it could be. Angela's local agent Teresa was great and very helpful, her suggestion of eating at Ysconderijo, a restaurant in Sao Bras, was ideal for a birthday meal! We found the air conditioned house just right for us with large rooms and plenty of features and of course the pool is absolutely lovely. The area around the pool is a bit uneven but you get used to it. The pool area is very secluded and cars on the roads next to the house are a rarity. We enjoyed visits out to Sao Bras, Tavira, Loule, Faro, Olhao, Castle Marim, Cape St Vincent and even ventured to the Spanish city of Seville. Drives into the hills north of Sao Bras show a more rural part of Portugal. All in all a great holiday in a lovely home. Thankyou for letting us stay!

Séjour d’exception
Nous avons séjourné 2 semaines dans cette magnifique villa Les photos de l’annonce reflètent parfaitement la réalité. Nous avons découvert la villa en premier et nos enfants le lendemain et tout le monde a eu la même réaction en mode « wouahhh » L’accueil par Teresa a rajouté à l’impression d’exceptionnel tant elle a été bienveillante avec nous et notre chien. Toujours disponible au moindre souci. La maison est entièrement équipée et il ne manque rien même au niveau vaisselle. L’accès à la maison est facile, ce qui n’est pas courant en Algarve. La maison est isolée au calme tout étant proche des commerces et a égale distance des différents lieux touristiques du coin. Nous recommandons à 100 %

Tolles Haus und ganz viel Ruhe!
Wir können das Haus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Teresa kümmert sich vor Ort zuverlässig um die Gäste. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet und man kann dort herrlich entspannen. Es ist sehr abgelegen. Einen Mietwagen benötigt man in jedem Fall. Wir werden sehr gerne wiederkommen.

A really nice place to unwind
The property is very nice and well-situated if you are looking at a countryside retreat but want to have good access to other places in the Algarve via a rental car. All facilities in the house are well maintained and the kitchen is quite well equipped to feed a larger family. There is some wear and tear here and there throughout the house, but nothing unexpected of a shared rental house, and the local support by Theresa takes very good care of things if something needs fixing. The air-conditioning and the large pool were a blessing considering the recent heat. As it is in the countryside, you need to expect some noises from dogs in the surrounding community. Can be little at times and more sometimes, depending on the heat. I can highly recommend the house for families traveling together.

More than beautiful
It was an all-round successful holiday. The house is really beautiful, super clean and very modern. We already saw from the pictures that the pool is very large, but the reality exceeded all our expectations. Since we didn't have a rental car, we took the Uber or Bolt all the way. At first we were concerned that it would be super expensive or that it would take a long time for them to find our house. But it was the best decision, it was easy, super cheap and we never have to wait more than 10 minutes. Dear Angela, thank you for giving us this experience and dear Teresa I have never met such a likeable person as you.Thank you for your effort! We will definitely come back again

Pure relaxation
The holiday home is much nicer in reality than in the pictures on the internet. Checking in and out was totally super and easy. Very nice "staff". Everything went smoothly. The location on the hillside is very idyllic and invites you to relax. The pool area is also very lovingly decorated. We would come again at any time. However, you definitely need a car. Also to explore the beautiful coast. We had a very relaxing time in our holiday home.

Da ist der kleine Teufel auf Ihrer Schulter, der Ihnen ins Ohr flüstert: Hey, das ist dein Geheimtipp - und je mehr Leute dieses Haus kennen und lieben lernen, desto größer ist die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass es vielleicht schon für unsere nächsten Pläne gebucht ist. Genau diese Frage wir uns gestellt und der Engel auf der anderen Schulter hat gewonnen :-) Keine Bewertung abzugeben wäre absolut nicht fair gegenüber unserer tollen Vermieterin Angelika mit der der gesamte Kontakt im Vorfeld einfach und unkompliziert war - alleine sind nochmal extra 5 Sterne ***** und vor allen Dingen möchten wir mit Dieser Bewertung auch Danke sagen an Theresa - unserer Ansprechpartnerin vor Ort. Dear Christian and family, You sent me your full review and I was so happy with it that I take the opportunity (with your permission) to fully quote it as I reckon your remarks are interesting for all future clients. You wrote and I quote: * Das Haus: Für uns absolut perfekt! Es ist reduziert und sehr stilisch geplant und eingerichtet (wir mögen das!) und vor allen Dingen hatten alle Parteien (Eltern, Kinder, Schwiegereltern ihr eigenes Schlafzimmer mit Bad en suite- super! Alle Fenster sind gegen Mücken geschützt und die gesamte Einrichtung ist hochwertig (6 Platten Gasherd, gute Ausstattung an Koch-Utensilien, etc.) - hier merkt man, dass die Vermieterin selbst das Haus auch nutzt und grundsätzlich eine gehoben Ausstattung an Lounge Möbeln im Außenbereich - fantastisch! * Der Garten: Hier kommt Theresa wieder ins Spiel: Der Garten ist der absolute Hammer! Theresa ist Landschaftsgärtnerin und hat sich auf Pflanzen spezialisiert, die kein oder nur sehr wenig Wasser benötigen. Und das Sie ihren Job richtig gut versteht durften wir feststellen. Der terrassiert angelegte Außenbereich ist eine einzige Blütenpracht und lässt das Herz eines jeden Botanikers höher schlagen! Außerdem gibt es nahezu unzählige Rückzugsbereiche, in die man sich zurückziehen kann, wenn man mal seine Ruhe haben möchte. Natürlich ist der Garten komplett eingezäunt und für unsere beiden Hunde war es ein Traum! Und wenn der Garten nicht reicht -unmittelbar hinter dem Haus schließen sich unzählige, wunderbare Wanderwege für Zwei und Vierbeiner an! * Den Pool möchten ich nochmals gesondert hervorheben. Wir machen nur in Ferienhäusern Urlaub und gehen Grundsätzlich nicht in Hotels. Dieser Pool (ich glaube er misst 12 x 4 Meter mit Treppe und 2,2 Meter Tiefe im hinteren Bereich war für uns alle täglich eine tolle Abwechslung. Auch hier zählt wieder die Ausstattung: eine Mauer, die vermutlich den Wind abhält, Sonnenschirme, deren Ständer fest im Boden verankert sind und ausreichend Liegen, bzw. eine geniale - in die Mauer eingelassen Liege-Ecke - die nicht nur gut aussieht, sondern auch bequem ist. * Ach ja: der fünfte Stern: Hatten wir ja eigentlich oben schon erwähnt: ein solch herzliches Willkommen und eine so unkomplizierte Vermieterin - wir haben uns von der ersten bis zur letzten Minute wohl gefühlt und kommen in 2024 wieder - wenn wir noch einen Slot bekommen :-) Thank you for your wonderful review!!! Super propriété, nous avons mes amies et moi même un séjour paradisiaque et la piscine y est pour beaucoup, assez longue pour nager , c'est très sympathique. Rien a redire sur la villa très bien conçu , juste un peu lège au niveau chauffe eau pour les douches le matin , pas de soucis pour le soir donc c'est pas dramatique. Très bon accueil avec personnes présentes et panier de bienvenue bien fourni. Je conseil cette location.

We spent an amazing time at the villa. It has lots of space for up to 6-7 people, the pool area and the modern villa are just perfect. Would recommend it to everyone, who is looking for a relaxing time with friends or family in the beautiful algarve region. The communication with the owner and Teresa has been perfect as well.

A Great Place

Rust en ruimte
We hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in het prachtige huis. We werden gastvrij ontvangen door Teresa, de huismanager, die altijd voor ons klaar stond. Het zwembad was echt fantastisch en we hebben daar vele uurtjes doorgebracht. Onze hondjes waren zeer welkom en die hadden de ruimte in de omheinde tuin. We hebben vanuit het huis veel gewandeld en waren onder de indruk van de mooie omgeving en kwamen vaak geen mens tegen. Vanwege de ligging is een auto wel noodzakelijk. De 2 weken vlogen om en wie weet komen we nog een keer terug!

Amazing holiday!
We had a wonderful holiday at Villa Lua. The house is in the middle of the nature with a fantastic view of the mountains. The villa itself is very tastefully decorated with a great care for detail. There is plenty of space for a large family, three people can even shower at the same time. Around the house there are many secluded spots to spend time and the garden is also very nicely laid out. The pool is pleasantly warm and offers enough space to really swim. You can go hiking directly from the house. In São Bras de Alportel you will find all the shopping you need and beaches are 20 minutes away by car. Thank you for this gorgeous holiday. ♥

We hebben genoten van de prachtige woning. Het staat in een mooie, rustige omgeving. Met de auto zit je vlot op leuke plekken in de Algarve. Wij hebben een heerlijke vakantie gehad.

Paradise & oasis in the Algarve
The villa is absolutely stunning, and the perfect spot to have a great holiday or workcation. We were overwhelmed with the space, nice high ceilings, well equipped and comfortable rooms [with all spacious and pretty bathrooms], all the facilities, and the acoustics in the villa. You don’t hear any noise from the other rooms. Impressive! The pool is just amazing, and we felt very lucky with the view, the cleanliness and the size. It was actually way bigger than we expected. So we ended up in the mornings and evenings after returning from our day trips in the pool. But you could also spend there all day. In the villa and outside there are different cozy parts to sit. The big tables are nice to sit all together and the lounge chairs and beds are just wonderful to relax. The garden houses lovely herbs which were a great accomplishment to the BBQ we had, as well as fruits. The house is located on a small hill in a rural area with a great view. You can go in any direction to have a nice hike. We hired a car to be able to drive around as you have pretty cities and beaches within a half hour drive. Also the airport is on a half hour drive. We could find the location easily but the Uber driver had some troubles. Close to the house you have some nice, local restaurants and pretty small town. Many thanks for the lovely hosts Teresa and Zè who give us a warm welcome upon arrival and were responding very quickly on a question we had. They even offered to help us with one luggage piece which did not arrive. Using some Portuguese charm. Ein komfortables, großzügiges, vollklimatisiertes Haus mit einem herrlichen Pool im Küstengebirge nördlich von Faro, ruhig und einsam, und trotzdem ist man schnell in Sao Brás de Alportel, Loulé oder Faro. Die Strände der Algarve sind gut erreichbar, ebenso bieten sich Touren ins Hinterland an. Das Serviceteam vor Ort steht stets zur Verfügung, wenn erforderlich. Erholung pur - einmal Vila Lua, immer Vila Lua!

We were so happy to be able to welcome you again this year! Thank you so much for your trust in our team to provide you a safe holidayhome in this horrible coronatime. With our team we have done everything we could to comply with the Clean & Safe rules of the Portuguese Public Health, with an extra disinfection round while cleaning the house and the availability of desinfection gel in the house. That way we were able to provide all our guests a safe holidayhome. In the calm valley of Bengado with relatively few people situated in the São Bras area with little covid-cases Vila Lua has proven to be a very safe place to spend your holidays. See you next year!

Unsere Familie, 3 Generationen, und ein kleiner Hund haben eine wunderschöne Urlaubswoche in dieser schönen Ferien Villa Lua verbracht und sind sehr begeistert von der herrlichen Anlage des Grundstücks, der geschmackvollen Einrichtung und der tollen Umgebung mit den Bergen, der Natur und der nahegelegenen Küstenregion. Eine gute Erreichbarkeit ist mit dem Auto in die nahegelegenen Orten Sao Bras de Alportal, Tavira, Loule oder Faro sowie an die schönen Strände der Algarve problemlos gegeben. Ganz besonders gut hat uns die Poolanlage gefallen und wir konnten die herrlichen Sonnenuntergänge und einen tollen Sternenhimmel von vielen unterschiedlichen Verweilecken auf dem Grundstück genießen. Ein ganz herzliches Dankeschön geht an die Hausverwalterin Teresa, die uns super nett Empfangen hat und uns alles wunderbar erklärt hat. Insgesamt waren wir alle sehr begeistert und kommen gerne wieder. Vielen herzlichen Dank an Angela und Teresa!

Traumhaus in den Bergen nördlich Faro
Ausgezeichnet und wunderbar - so war auch dieses Jahr wieder der Urlaub in diesem tollen Haus mit einem hervorragenden Pool in herrlicher Umgebung. Abgeschiedenheit in der Natur des Küstengebirges nördlich von Faro, schnelle Anbindung an Sao Bras de Alportel und Loulé, die Algarve mit ihren Stränden wie auch dem gebirgigen Hinterland schnell erreichbar, ein hervorragender vor Ort Service - was will man mehr? Einfach rundum wunderbar!!!
Villa Lua ist ein wunderschönes Haus und umgeben von so viel Natur - sodass man sich hier vollkommen entspannen kann. Das geschmackvolle Haus und die Umgebung bieten einem alle Möglichkeiten um einen vollkommen erholsamen Urlaub zu haben. Von der Villa aus gelangt man mit dem Auto sehr gut ins benachbarte São Brás de Alportel, in die schöne Stadt Tavira oder nach Loule, sowie mit ein paar Autominuten mehr an die schönen Strände der Algarve. Es besteht ebenfalls die Möglichkeit, vom Haus aus schöne Spaziergänge durch die besondere Landschaft zu machen. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und super sauber. Da es so gut aufgeteilt ist, war es möglich, dass alle ihre Privatsphäre behalten konnten. Teresa ist unglaublich nett und sehr zuvorkommend. Die gesamte Abwicklung hat wunderbar geklappt. Wir haben in diesem Haus einen traumhaften Familienurlaub gehabt und können einen Urlaub in dieser schönen Umgebung nur weiterempfehlen - wir kommen definitiv wieder! Wie ein zweites Zuhause
Sehr zuvorkommende Betreuung während des Buchungsprozesses und vor Ort. Wundschönes, geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Haus mit viel Ruhe (manchmal bellen Hunde oder es meldet sich ein Käuzchen, aber ansonsten entspannte Stille). Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Schöner, wenig gechlorter Swimming Pool. Nachts kann man viele Sterne sehen, da es hier verhältnismäßig dunkel ist. Würden hier wieder Urlaub machen. Vielen Dank Angela, vielen Dank Teresa!

Nous avons loué cette magnifique villa 3 semaines ! La villa est superbe, décorée avec goût, toutes les chambres disposent de leur salle de bain, elle est très bien équipée. Wunderschön in den Bergen - die Strände der Algarve gut erreichbar!
Wir waren jetzt zum 2. Mal da, und es war wieder wunderbar. Ruhig, weg von allem, fast allein in diesem Talabschnitt, und doch Sao Bras de Alportel "direkt um die Ecke", Loulé "kurz dahinter, die Strände der Algarve östlich und westlich von Faro gut erreichbar. Unterschiedliche Restaurants mit guter bis sehr guter Qualität, Landschaft und Natur ohne Ende..... Wer Abgeschiedenheit und Ruhe in der Natur bei gleichzeitiger guter Erreichbarkeit größerer Orte sowie der Strände und des Hinterlandes der Algarve sucht und seine Zeit in einem herrlichen Haus mit großem Pool verbringen möchte, einen tadellosen Service mit schneller Erreichbarkeit, falls erforderlich, erwartet, der kommt voll auf seine Kosten. Wir haben die Zeit nach einer Woche Anreise durch den Norden Spaniens und Portugals voll genossen!

Heerlijke week vakantie in mooie villa met zwembad!
Afgelopen week (23/09 - 30/09) vakantie gevierd in deze heerlijke villa met een mooi en ruim zwembad. De villa bevindt zich in een nog authentiek stukje Algarve en heeft een mooie en rustige ligging. Verder is alles aanwezig om een heerlijke vakantie te hebben. Het weer in de Algarve in deze tijd van het jaar is fantastisch. Voorzieningen zoals supermarkt e.d. zijn aanwezig in het dorp Sao Bras de Alportel evenals enkele goede restaurants. Kortom, een aanrader.

Eine wahre Luxus Villa in hervorragender Alleinlage zum Tiefenentspannen
Wir haben den Aufenthalt in diesem tollen Anwesen wirklich genossen. Die Villa liegt auf einem großen Hanggrundstück - abseits von jeglichem Trubel - in einem kleinen Tal. Der unterhalb des Hauses liegende Pool mit einer Länge von 13 Metern ist praktisch nicht einsehbar. Das Grundstück verfügt über mehrere Sitzplätze und Tische, die es erlauben, sich entweder in der Sonne oder im Schatten zu entspannen oder zu essen. Ganz besonders hat uns der Essplatz außerhalb der Küche, mit direktem Zugang zum gemauerten Grill gefallen, da man hier beim Abendessen die untergehende Sonne genießen kann. Die Wohn- und Schlafräume verfügen über Klimaanlagen, die man in der Hauptsaison auch benötigt und verteilen sich aufgrund der Hanglage auf verschiedene Ebenen. Der gesamte Koch- Ess- und Wohnbereich ist sehr offen gestaltet und äußerst individuell und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Für den ambitionierten Hobbykoch/Köchin bleiben in der üppig ausgestatteten Küche mit 5-flammigem Gasherd mit Backofen und angegliederter, separater Speisekammer In der sich 2 Kühl-Gefrierschränke, die Waschmaschine und viel Stauraum befinden, keine Wünsche offen. Selbst im liebevoll gestalteten landestypischen Garten gibt es ein kleines Kräuterbeet zur Selbstbedienung. Abgerundet wurde unser sehr erholsamer Urlaub durch die professionelle und sehr freundliche Betreuung der Managerin Teresa. Ein sehr liebevoller Mensch mit guten Tipps zu den Themen Einkaufen, Restaurants, Strände und Sightseeing. Die Strände befinden sich i.d.R. 15-20 Autominuten von der Villa entfernt. Erwähnt sei noch der tägliche Fisch- und Gemüse/Obstmarkt in Olhao, den man in ca. 15 min erreicht. Zum abendlichen flanieren oder auch zum Restaurantbesuch empfehlen wir das nahegelegene Tavira. Feinschmecker und Liebhaber eines guten Tropfens Weins sollten ein Abendessen im Ysconderijo in Sao Bras De Alportel nicht verpassen. Absolut erstaunliches Preis-Leistungunsverhältnis. Reservierung in der Saison empfohlen!

Herrlicher Urlaub in einem wunderbaren Haus!
Zentral gelegen nördlich von Faro in den Bergen östlich Sao Bras de Alportel - von der Landstraße runter ins Tal und auf der anderen Seite wieder rauf und man ist raus aus Allem, Landschaft und Ruhe pur. Das großzügige Haus, gut und geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit schönen Außensitzbereichen und einem tollen Pool laden alleine schon ein, den Tag dort zu verbringen, zu entspannen und zu relaxen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants für unterschiedliche Ansprüche in und um Sao Bras und Loulé, die vielseitigen Strände der Algarve und das Hinterland mit den Serras liegen geradezu "vor der Haustür". Wir haben Anfang Juni 2017 2 Wochen bei Sonne pur in diesem herrlichen Haus verbracht und einen wunderbaren Urlaub erlebt. Wir kommen wieder, bei nächster Gelegenheit! Und, last but not least: die gesamte Abwicklung hat ausgezeichnet geklappt, der Service vor Ort mit Theresa und Ze war ganz hervorragend!
