Beautiful spot
The property and the view lived up to all expectations from the information provided online. Having use of the pontoon boat was a real plus, and not something a lot of property owners will do. The boathouse, decks and all the outdoor amenities are first class. We loved using the gas firepit and the outdoor griddle and eating space. The house is very nice and has everything you will need. Our daughters joined us for a couple of nights and we all had a great time. We even caught a few fish.

Great Lake Getaway

Everything You Need
This house was perfect. It had absolutely everything we needed to enjoy our stay on the lake with friends. The house was cozy and nicely updated. Tons of entertaining space and lots of room to fit two families of 4. I can't think of any negative things to say about the house, in fact, we were going to probably make this a yearly vacation with our close friends and kids each Summer. The house didn't have fishing poles, but we went right down to the store and purchased two rods and left them there for future guests to enjoy. The kids caught tons of fish right from the dock and were able to always keep themselves busy if we were not on the boat having fun. The house is in a great location and easy in and out for the boat as well. Nothing else to say about that house other than if you are interested or on the fence, book it. You are going to have a great time!

Family Getaway
We had a great time at the lake with all our family and girlfriends and all. Being on the water was so peaceful and having the boat was a definite added plus. We really enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and made wood fired pizzas for the first time. Trip to Albemarle was easy for any supplies we needed. Would stay here again.

Another Great Vacation on the lake!
This was the second stay at Sebastian's lake house and our family had an incredibly fun time! Sebastian as always was a great host and had the house and boat ready to go for our arrival. Every morning, afternoon, and evening we would all spend either resting on all the available furniture or playing in the water or pulling the kids on the tube! I certainly look forward to more of these staycations as Sebastian's home is wonderful and offers so much to my family of five! Thanks again Sebastian!

Great time on the Lake!!!
My family and I have visited this property for the second time. The home has everything anyone would need, with great amenities such as the splash pad, the boat, and the outdoor entertaining area. Sebastian is prompt and very friendly, he worked to help meet all our needs. I highly recommend this property.

Outstanding time at Lakeside Landing!
From the beautiful view, the outdoor kitchen and living spaces to the fun boat rides, this property made our vacation extra special. The house was super clean, and the beds comfortable. We loved the location and it was easy to run to town for lunch, dinner and supplies. Sebastian is an excellent host and made sure we were happy, along with providing excellent communication on the use of the boat. We will be back!

Great house in a great spot
The house was located in a great spot with many wonderful amenities. We loved the outdoor area with the island containing a fridge and ice maker. The owner was incredibly responsive and designed a wonderful location to host friends or family. Thanks again!

Great Experience
This was a great place to stay with everything you could possibly want at a lake house. Property was clean with detailed instructions and a whole host of outdoor items such as grill, griddle, pizza oven, icemaker, fridge, boat, life jackets, lily pad, etc. Music was also available at the dock and on the boat through bluetooth. Beds were extremely comfortable as well as having everything we needed inside the house. Bottle of wine waiting on us when we arrived and Sebastion, our host, was great to deal with. Would definitely stay here again!!

An Incredible Stay!
All I can say is that our stay and Sebastian (Our Host) exceeded our expectations in every way! The property was easy to find with plenty of room to get our two vehicles in and out of. The property looked up to date on the latest trends and fashions in décor and amenities and the location on the lake was in the best possible place for a view as well as boating and swimming. Inside there was plenty of space along with creature comforts to make our stay enjoyable and low on stress. Our family was also appreciative of Sebastian's willingness to rent out his boat for family use. I am a Stanly County native and my only regret about this property is that I have not come here sooner but I can assure you that we will be back for more visits. !FIVESTARS!

Family vacation
It’s our 7th year vacationing at Lake Tillery and Badin Lake and the first time we stayed at this property, what a gem! The host, Sebastian, couldn’t have been any more accommodating and in tune to any need or question we may have had. The newly modeled outdoor kitchen was a treat. The kids loved making their own personal pizzas baked in the pizza oven. But the highlight of the days were always the family boat rides and anchoring out in a nearby cove to swim. I myself, enjoyed getting up before the kids, and heading out to fish in the early, quiet mornings. What a relaxing time! The family has voted this place to be their favorite and can’t wait to come back next year. Thanks Sebastian, great time.

Wonderful property, wonderful host
Property is just as nice as pictured and the outside amenities are outstanding. Beautiful lake view and easy access. Also very convenient to nearby hiking. Extra shout out to our understanding host who helped us with a hiccup created by us. This is a property not to be missed.

This property is amazing. Perfect for our family getaway. Everyone had their own space, and we enjoyed the outdoor amenities. Most of our time was spent outside. WOW! I can not say enough great things about this vacation home! If you think this home is beautiful in the pictures, just wait until you see it in person! The view of the lake is absolutely gorgeous, and it is the perfect way to relax. The house has everything you would ever need to enjoy your stay on the water. Sebastian was such a kind and accommodating host. He was also very quick to respond and incredibly helpful. We had so much fun on the pontoon boat, watching football while picking crabs on the dock, and making our own pizzas in the wood burning oven! We can not wait to until our next trip to Lake Tillery! We will absolutely be back. Thank you sharing your home with us and helping us make such wonderful memories!

Wonderful vacation!
This was my family's first time visiting Lake Tillery and we really enjoyed our stay. The house was perfect for what we needed and just as the pictures showed. The outdoor spaces are great and we used the outdoor kitchen to have several amazing meals! We loved the lake toys at the property and the favorite was the lily pad/floating pad. The host was available for communication as needed and very helpful!

Second time around even better!
This is our second stay at this amazing rental. It is as advertised. The upgrades are Top Notch. The outdoor kitchen has all the bells and whistles. Plan your menu because between grilling steaks to breakfast on the flat top there’s no need to eat out. We didn’t use the pizza oven but it looks nice. House is comfortable and clean the kitchen has everything you need. Lastly, this house is in a little neighborhood of 5 or 6 homes. The neighbors are nice and always speak. It is welcoming and quiet.

A little piece of Heaven
Let me first say that Sebastian was such a great host! This property is amazing!!! From the first initial message to him up until check out anything we needed or any questions we had he was very responsive and attentive….. now the property hands down the best vacation we’ve had in years!! Our children are in college and it was us and boy did we have fun! We rented his pontoon and enjoyed it for the week also! The pictures don’t do it any justice. The outside space is phenomenal! We literally enjoyed the dock and toys all day!! The pizza oven and hibachi grill are a great bonus!! There is so much room to entertain! We had friends camping in Norwood who came to hang out a day with us and we had plenty of room!! Let me say this because I read it on a review… the day we got there the mayflies started to hatch. So for two days they were out there . While there are lots of them it was a no bother! That’s all nature and honestly they didn’t bother us other than the fact they were everywhere. That only happens like 2 or 3 times a year and it happen to be while we was there but it didn’t change or damper our experience at all! We will definitely be returning again! Thanks for sharing your home with us! We loved everything about it!

Amazing Stay
What an amazing lakefront home. The outdoor living was the best. Upgrades to the outdoor living areas exceeded any expectations. The outdoor kitchen with the Wood fire Pizza Oven and flat top griddle overlooking the lake made cooking on vacation worth every minute. Would recommend this property to anyone. Great Lake Retreat
Very nice property with lots of new upgrades. Great dock for relaxing, fishing, and entertaining. Pontoon rental was very convenient and it is a nice, well-maintained boat. Outdoor kitchen was fun! Kids loved pizza oven. No lack of places to sit, relax, and enjoy the lake views. Monday-Friday are pretty quiet on the water but the weekends do get busy. House is close to town for groceries or other last minute forgot-to-brings. House sleeps two couples and 2-6 younger kids comfortably. Upgraded kitchen, great living room, nice screened porch, great upper decks. Owners were very communicative, easy to reach, and we would reccomend renting this property. Thanks again!

Absolutely beautiful has it definitely put the money into making the backyard and oasis!! Four different levels two different fire pits… excellent for just relaxing by the lake or by the fire pit at night. Highly recommend!!

Really Great Experience!
This is probably one of the better properties I have stayed at. There were really great Outdoor gathering spaces that we were able to relax at and eat outdoors. The inside was very clean and modern. We did have a problem with the Air Conditioning, but the owner was very tentative and was able to get someone out the next morning to get it fixed. (While being out of the country as well). Depending on the size of your boat/trailer you may/or may not be able to use the boat ramp at the end of the road, however there are two other boat ramps within a mile of the house. The mooring whips were really great to use. I did bring a couple extra ropes to secure the boat a little more. We all had a great time and did not have to worry about anything while we were there. Definitely will be back for another visit.

Beautiful lake escape
We needed a meeting spot for family Thanksgiving and this home was perfect. Even though it was chilly outside, we cuddled on the top deck porch by the firepit to enjoy the gorgeous lake. It was easy to pop into the Harris Teeter in Albemarle to get everything we needed for the feast and all four of us (2 adult children) were very comfortable.

Lovely Piece of Lake Paradise
We found the house just as described in the listing. Very clean and updated. It is located on a quiet road. All the amenities are a perk (the boat, water toys, outdoor space). Wish it would’ve been warmer outside to get to enjoy more. We really appreciated being able to bring our dog along. The house had everything we needed for our stay, including towels, paper products, etc. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

Fantastic Stay
This is a fantastic place to stay on Lake Tillery. Communication was great throughout the process. We rented the boat during our stay, enjoyed an evening around the fire pit, and spent time on the dock on Sunday while watching football. We would definitely stay here again.

The lake experience you deserve.
Sebastian’s depictions of the property are spot on. My only regret is not securing a monthly rental. My 9 turning 10 year old swam as much as possible. Even in October the water temp was ideal. The home offers everything needed for an enjoyable lake stay.

Great little getaway
Went for a long girls weekend getaway. The house was just as pictured, very clean and indeed had starter paper goods which was a plus. The views of the lake were fantastic as was the outdoor living space. Also - such a small thing but I loved all the luggage racks! Would recommend!

Wonderful wedding weekend stay!
Location and layout couldn't have been better! Our daughter was married at Stony Mountain Winery, which ended up being just 10-15 minutes away. This property was just what we needed inside...comfortable beds, a functional kitchen and 2.5 bathrooms with attention to details like luggage racks for everyone, games, a make-up mirror and tons of towels. The lake decore is subtle, without going overboard. But the WOW factor is outside with multiple gathering spaces, all with spectacular views of the lake (especially sunrise) and lots of fun water toys! We had perfect weather, but even if it wasn't there's the screened porch, the covered dining area on the deck and the first level of the boat house...all covered. We rented the pontoon and the family had a blast riding up and down the lake! Also, the water was still warm enough to play on the giant float pad...the kids had so much fun! We used the peddle boat and a kayak and they were all in great working order...no disappointments in any of it. The only caution I would add is the steps...there are a lot of them to the water, but they are in good shape and do have sturdy railings on both sides, so that helps a lot for the older folks ; ) However, I think toddlers could be a real challenge here. The nearby (about 15-20 minutes) town of Albemarle has everything you could want for groceries, pharmacies and fast food places. We didn't eat out, but I saw many local restaurants as well. The owner is super responsive and accommodating! We will definitely make plans to return to this rental!

Non Tourist filled Vacation
We enjoyed the stay considering we had never heard of the place. Large Beautiful Lake. Boat could easily handle 8 people. Not the place for someone who does not handle steps though. River Wild was a great boat to dinner locale. We plan to visit again next year. Screened porch, Cabana and fire pit above the boat were enjoyed by all.

Floating into Fall
We had a wonderful, relaxing visit with our two adult children and their spouses. We enjoyed all the outdoor spaces and amenities this property offers--swimming, kayaking, fishing, porch-sitting, grilling, and of course, toasting s'mores around the fire pit on the upper deck on the dock. Sebastian has thought of everything and his communications are clear and prompt. The kitchen is well supplied but we knew there was no dishwasher so we brought paper plates/bowls, and I rather enjoyed clearing the table and throwing all the dishes away! Great house with great views
We found this property to be just as described. The views of the main channel of lake tillery were great. The house itself was clean and had everything we needed. We rented the pontoon boat and that was a lot of fun for everyone. Sebastian was great to work with and even accommodated us changing the dates for the boat (literally) last minute. The trade-off for the great open water views in the main channel is the current and wake. We were there on a busy Labor Day weekend and it was pretty much impossible to swim or relax in a float off of the dock. But, it wasn't a problem with access to the boat because we just loaded everyone up and went to a quiet cove. Thanks for everything Sebastian. We are looking at returning next summer

The lake definitely gets busy on the holiday weekends. I am so happy that you enjoyed yourselves. The view of the main channel was Paramount in my decision to purchase this property. It just can't be beat. I look forward to your return.

What a great weekend. The house and boat was very clean ane th e location was easy to get too. Sebastian was very communicative and a pleasure to rent from. Definetly would book this property again and look forward to catching a few more flatheads.

On Tillery Lake
Dock area and amenities were great.....the huge swim mat being the star feature, along with fishing off the dock, making smores in the fire pit. The kitchen/dining area were a little small, but the outdoor porch and dining deck made up for that. Beds very comfortable. Food stores very handy in Albemarle.

We all had a wonderful time at the lake, enjoying the beautiful views, relaxing on the various decks, of course going out on the boat and taking in all the scenery. The house was very comfortable.

Cousin reunion
Perfect destination for our family gathering. Several teenage cousins and they absolutely loved hanging out on the dock and floating mat while listening to tunes blasting thru the provided Bluetooth speakers, watching the TV, or making s’mores on the top deck. Great location on the main channel. Beautiful lake.

Always a good day on the lake!
Great family vacation. My parents very much enjoyed the outside seating (cover dock with swing, screened in porch). Kitchen was well stocked and the beds slept great. The house was very clean and Sebastian was very responsive and accommodating. We had a great time with provided floats & large mat. House was as advertised. We love to fish and brought our 2 fishing boats with us and would not recommend using advertised onsite boat landing. However the public landing across the bridge is very nice and close by boat & car. We would have also liked a little more/better docking space but overall had a great experience.

Thank you for the kind review. The on-site boat launch is very convenient although I do understand it is also narrow. Luckily the town boat launch is less than a mile from the house as you stated. Yes, things can get a little tight with two additional boats. I am happy that I was able to accommodate both of your vessels. I look forward to your return.

Wonderful Lake Getaway
We had a wonderful time during out stay. The house was very clean and provided everything we needed (and more), the view was very impressive, and we enjoyed renting the pontoon boat for a couples days. My son and his friend spent a lot of time fishing while the rest of us relaxed on the dock and enjoyed the lake mat, music and all the extras that were provided. It was a wonderful experience that we would recommend to anyone!
