"Shared bathroom. Had 2 available. Never had to wait. Very clean. Close to everything. Walkable to seawall and shops."

"Easy check in and checkout. Appreciated having office staff on hand during the day. Ne No one came in with towels, empty trash, etc. Was told they were busy cleaning rooms as people checked out (so minimal staff) After several days, I borrowed a broom to sweep as dirt gets carried in. Loved the decor. Beds were somewhat hard. Heard gravel trucks going by all day back and forth from place next door. Otherwise loved the location and being close to grocery store. Mistakenly thought our room had stove top (only rooms with single bed)"

"The staff was new but friendly and helpful. This is a beautiful location. The rooms were clean but we would rather have a fridge than a TV. We had a discounted rate through Hotels.com. For the rate we paid the room was a good value. Even considering that this is a prime Alaska location the direct booking rate is overpriced. We did enjoy the bar, the deck and the breakfast."

"Trail Lake Lodge was a convenient and strategically located stop on our Alaska road trip. We were able to drive from Anchorage to Seward, visit Exit Glacier, and then continue to the lodge, making it an excellent base for exploring the area. The lodge has a classic Alaska character and is in a beautiful setting. Our room was clean and the rate was lower than many lodging options in the region. The check-in experience felt impersonal. While the staff member was professional and corrected a billing issue promptly, the interaction lacked the warmth and hospitality we experienced at other Alaska lodges. The room was modest. The bathroom was very small and showed its age. The lakeside deck overlooking the water didn’t have outdoor seating available to relax and enjoy the views. We also encountered some confusion during our departure. The lodge was locked when we tried to check out around 7:30 a.m. Eventually, a staff member let us in and explained their key drop box system. Overall, Trail Lake Lodge provided a clean and reasonably priced place to stay in a great location. The setting is attractive and the lodge has a classic Alaska feel, but the dated room, tiny bathroom, lack of accessible lakeside seating, and somewhat indifferent service kept the experience from feeling particularly welcoming. It met our needs for a one-night stay, but it was not a memorable lodging experience. We visited early in the season, so perhaps they were still gearing up for the summer."

"The cabin was very clean. The check-in smooth and friendly. Plenty of parking. The cabin was well equipped. The heater worked great. The only thing that wasn’t appealing was the outside view of this one particular cabin. The others were probably fine. I’d still stay in this same one though especially for mainly a good nights sleep."

"The cabin was so nice! The beds were comfortable and it was super clean. It did not have a living area which I was expecting. And the WiFi wasn’t reliable. The wrap around porch was lovely and it was situated next to the river and there were lots of birds. The location was wonderful, about 30 minutes north of Seward. The eat in kitchen worked for us, but it was small and there wasn’t much room for food prep. No stovetop but there was a heating element for pots and a microwave."
