This is a beautiful property, very quiet, on a working farm.
We were lucky enough to be the only guests so we had our own breakfast buffet which was excellent & also Elisabeth cooked us a delicious evening meal for when we arrived.
We loved our stay. The room was bright and clean and we had a great view of the mountains in the back and of the farm animals. Elisabeth was a great host and the breakfast provided was so good. We enjoyed our chats with Elisabeth. I would highly recommend the guesthouse!
Excellent property just 20 minutes from the center of Akureyri. The farm is BEAUTIFUL and the guesthouse was clean, cozy, and comfortable. Elizabeth was an amazing host and she took great care of my family. The breakfast was yummy and her dogs were super friendly!
Elisabeth is a wonderful hostess. She helped mw surprise my boyfriend on his bday by making him a delicious cake. The property is clean, beautiful and cozy.
Will be back in a few years with the kiddos ans plan to stay here.
We were greeted by Elizabeth, the owner, who showed us our immaculate accomodations with kitchen, breakfast and lounge areas. Breakfast was the best we had while in Iceland. Elizabeth shared her homemade and bread, cakes and cookies with us. All were outstanding. We took an evening stroll by friendly horses. Adjacent to the mountains, the views were stunning. Beds were comfy, rooms soundproof and dark. Highly recommend and would love to stay there again.

was a slice of heaven. We would stay here over and over again if we could!
A lovely room on a working farm. Beautiful views all around. Breakfast was amazing and the homemade cookies were delicious. Thank you for a lovely stay
We stayed one night and wished we had planned a second night. We were there in May so we got to see the lambs. Elizabeth and her husband were wonderful hosts, as were the hearding dogs and sheep. The guesthouse was so nice and welcoming. This place will fill your soul.
Stunning farm setting with view of snowy mountains
Elisabeth is a wonderful, cheerful hostess with a comfortable B and B in a stunning valley just outside Akureyri. Her guesthouse has views of snow capped mountains, sheep, cows, horses and pasture. Our room was comfortable and clean. The fish dinner she made for us (additional cost) and the breakfast were delicious and large portions. She treated us like her personal house guests. Highly recommend!
Notre hôte a été parfaite, gentille, service impeccable.
Le déjeuner offert était délicieux avec toutes les autres attentions durant notre séjour.
ne passez pas à côté de cet hébergement
The guest house is a separate, unique building on a farm where sheep and some cows graze nearby. Elisabeth, our hostess, also provided a very delicious--and quite generous---dinner at an extremely reasonable price. Breakfast, which is included, was equally delicious and generous. Elisabeth is a fastidious housekeeper, very friendly, and is also a nurse and midwife! The location is fabulous, surrounded by ( in our case) gorgeous, snow-covered mountains.
We loved this place. Its a working farm, and Elizabeth let us walk around and meet the animals... It was baby season, so there were tons of lambs and even a BEAUTIFUL grey baby calf which we fell in love with. The valley is strikingly beautiful with horses, and views of waterfalls from your breakfast table. We arrived late in the day and the owners were extremely flexible on feeding us... its best to consider eating here (dinner) since its a bit of a drive to any restaurant. Overall a wonderful experience -- we look forward to returning and spending a bit more time in the peaceful valley --- its perfect place to decompress! (no TV, but the wifi was excellent)
Gentillesse de l'hôte magnifique,
propreté étincellante
Paysage à coupé le souffle, la ferme et les animaux génial
Rien à dire !! carton PLEIN 10 SUR 10
The best place we have stayed in Iceland! Elisabeth is a wonderful host, she showed us around the farm and we were allowed to explore the property (waterfall in the back!). We loved meeting the dogs, sheep and cows! Elisabeth was very helpful and answeredall questions we had to plan our days. Her breakfast in the morning is wonderful.
The guesthouse is very clean and spacious. There is a shared kitchen and dining area that is nicely decorated. Beds are comfortable and rooms were a generous size.
Location is great, only 20 mins from Akureyri.
We will only stay here when we return to northern Iceland!
If I could, I would give this place 100 stars. The host offered to cook dinner for just the two of us. You can sit near the kitchen and chat with her while she prepares your dinner, which was huge and delicious. It reminded me of when I came home from college the first time and my own mom cooked my favorite dinner for me. Breakfast has a similar vibe. Afterwards, she let us explore around the large waterfall and canyon behind their property. We also got to meet some of her sheep and her sheep dogs. Don’t forget the endless homemade cookies and the homemade wool souvenirs available for purchase.
