Lil' Lake House - Dog and Family Friendly, 2 BR

Summary:
Take a morning stroll by the water, explore the park or just enjoy the lake view with your morning coffee on the front porch. The comfy 2 queen beds w/ TVs in this 2 BR/2 Bath lake house has all the amenities to unwind-or stay connected! Large family room TV w/ live cable or ROKU apps to stream - as well as a business station in BR2. For an additional $15/day pet fee we offer a fenced in yard to roam while attended and a dog crate for your pet. We also have a pack n play & high chair as needed.

The Space:
We are excited to share our newly remodeled home that sits literally hundreds of feet from Summit Lake. You'll love the view especialy at night with the City lights shimmering off the water.

Everything you will need is on the main floor. There are 5 steps up from the ground level to the main floor of the house. Inside you'll find 2 cozy and nicely decorated bedrooms, each with a large closet, TV's and alarm clocks.

The living room is perfect for a small gathering or watching your favorite movie or TV show. There is 1 main bathroom, with a full size tub, and 1 bathroom off the master bedroom that contains a standup neo-angle shower.

Our kitchen has every amenity necessary to prepare a meal or heat up those left overs from one of Akron's many restaurants. There is a small 2 seat table in the kitchen as well as a formal dining room with plenty of seating for your whole group.

The front porch has a nice seating area that's great for morning coffee or watching the sunset on the lake.

If you need to wash clothes during your stay, there is a High Efficiency Front Loader Washer and Dryer in the basement.

Quiet neighborhood right on Summit lake, close to downtown, and easy access to and from the highway

The house was very clean and comfortable. We appreciated that the house was well-stocked with common kitchen and bathroom items. When we arrived we found bottled waters in the fridge, an assortment of coffees and teas, and more than enough paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The hosts checked in with us daily to make sure we had everything we needed, which was nice.

Perfect base from which to visit local wineries.

Ideal location and amenities for two couples.We spent the better part of two days visiting local wineries and attractions. Lil' Lake House provided a very clean and quiet location for us to enjoy.

This cute little house has been nicely refurbished, and we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. It is convenient to downtown, to Cuyahoga NP and across the street from a nice walking path around the lake. The hosts were excellent to work with. The surrounding area is economically depressed but was generally very quiet and we didn't have any problems.

Great little house!

This house is very comfortable and we enjoyed our short stay. The location was great for access to hiking, especially CVNP. (Just a short drive away) The lake was lovely for an evening walk. Very neat and clean. Good proximity to many restaurants.

We enjoyed our stay. Beautiful Little Lake House in a quiet neighborhood. Bonus was this property is dog friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to stay.

Our little family enjoyed the cozy accommodations. We took our small dog walking on the path around the lake across the street. Saw Heron and turtles. We also hiked in Cuyahoga Valley National Park about 25 minutes from the house. The coffee, snacks and water at the house were much appreciated.

Grateful for this stay. Beds were comfy. House was clean. Fenced in back yard area was so helpful for traveling with our dogs. Kitchen well equipped and spacious. Location was okay. Had a big rig semi parked next to us so it was difficult to enjoy the lake view.

First Family National Park Visit

We had an awesome stay here. Just perfect for four adults. We enjoyed taking a walk around the lake and sitting on the porch and exploring the area. Beds were comfy, two bathrooms was a nice benefit, and kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed.

Mike and Julie’s home is clean, cozy, and has everything our family of 4 could have needed. We felt like we were the first ones who ever stayed in their beautiful, updated home but I know we were not from the rave reviews we read before the stay. Our hosts were so helpful - responding quickly to questions posted in vrbo - before, during, and after the trip. Akron itself wasn’t what we expected but the house is located on a nice river walk and we enjoyed going to a minor league Rubberducks game!

Anniversary getaway

The home was lovely inside, very welcoming, very clean. The kitchen was equipped with everything that we needed (and the snack basket was a nice touch,). The bed and pillows were comfortable (I'm super picky about pillows- I always bring my own just in case). It was nice to see the lake from the living room and dining room- loved relaxing on the chaise lounge with our 2 little furbabies and and watching the geese go by (by foot and water). The shower was great- perfect water pressure. Returned home refreshed.

Wedding Weekend Getaway

We were in the area for a wedding. When not at wedding related events, the house was the perfect spot to relax. We loved the view of the lake & enjoyed walking the trails around it! The house was super cute, clean & comfy (couches & beds)! The kitchen had everything we needed & even included yummy snacks! We would definitely stay with Julie & Michael again and recommend them to others. *If traveling with your fur baby, they have a great set-up - fenced in yard area, kennels in basement, toys & snacks. Something we'll keep in mind for the future.

The lil' lake house was a fantastic place to stay! The house itself is tastefully decorated with comfortable and visually appealing furniture. It wad off-the-charts clean, which was greatly appreciated. The kitchen was well-equipped to handle meal prep and reheating alike. Julie was the consummate host, reaching out several times throughout our stay to ensure we had all we needed. Having the ability to do laundry during our stay was a game-changer on our road trip, and we marveled at how clean the basement, where the machines are located, was kept. The fenced-in area out back is small, but servivable. The back steps to get outside are a little wonky and were challenging withour elderly dog, but i think a younger, heathier pup would be fine. The nearby lake was a nice place to walk. Another reviewer described the surrounding area as being "economically depressed", and it's true that some of the homes need a little love, but the neighborhood is clean and relatively quiet; it was a peaceful and pleasant home base while we hiked at CVNP. There was some road noise in the evenings, but it didnt really disturb is too much. All in, we loved our stay here, and will definitely seek to stay ahain next time we're in the area!
