"My room was very nice and well cared for. I felt so at home that I actually got a full night of sleep - which is rare for me in an unfamiliar environment. Maria was lovely, as well. It was a joy to be checked in by her and she explained the details and layout of the showers and facilities expertly. Most importantly, perhaps, the location was perfect for me. Being right off Allen street, I got to explore Allentown in depth - one of the major reasons for my trip. I was also able to walk to the Buffalo Convention Center on Sunday morning. The accessibility to downtown was a surprise and is sure to make me a repeat customer. The only downside was I was really looking forward to having some scrambled eggs in the morning at the buffet - but there was ham in them. Obviously, I am not a vegan - but I am a vegetarian & I do love my eggs and veggie omelets. But that is a minor quibble. Overall, 10++!!! Brian"

"The check in staff at the hotel were extremely friendly & helpful with a great sense of humour ! The breakfast attendant was very thorough in ensuring that everything was topped up . A couple of points of hopefully constructive observations . It would be great to have a few fresh fruit options & plain yoghurt at breakfast . Also I am always concerned to know that bathrooms are cleaned to the highest standard and are devoid of any trace of the previous occupants hair - unfortunately there was a hair in the bath which just puts you off straightaway . Plus there needs to be some deep cleaning supervision by the senior housekeeper around how the team clean the tile grout - it’s so easy with the right product and a small stiff brush and ensures that everything looks sparklingly clean ! I used to work in healthcare for years and know it’s an easy job to do but is so often an area that’s neglected in hotels and brings down the otherwise great rating for cleanliness ."

"Downtown Buffalo is half urban-renewal empty lots and half glorious century-old buildings. The hotel is a well-run corporate-type place with friendly staff and clean facilities. A safe bet."
