Aïn Mezouar Holidays from AU$3,114

Overall I enjoyed the sirayanne but it didn’t come without a few (small) issues. Starting with the positives: very clean, room was great, comfortable beds. Most of the staff were lovely. Food was generally very good. Spa was amazing. Negatives: One staff in particular was rather rude for no reason (front desk). They don’t provide free water at all, and 2 bottles was 14 dollars. The same front desk staff did tell us to “treat the maids well” and we may get free water. We tipped quite generously and didn’t get any, and in a 5 star at this price point in a place where it’s not recommended to drink the tap water it was a bit disappointing. Only other thing was quite a lot of kids. I didn’t realize it wasn’t adults only which is on me, but almost everyone there aside from us had kids with them so if that’s not your thing maybe avoid this one. Overall it was a great property and mostly good.

Once again a flawless stay at this welcoming hotel. Thank you.

Amazing friendly staff, super clean, great location, comfortable beds, and incredibly beautiful. I will use this riad again!

The main building of the property, the gardens and the restaurants are all very well maintained. It feels like an oasis in the desert. The room we stayed in was a Ksar and the layout is well suited to a family. The quality of food and beverages were certainly up to standard. We tried two of the restaurants and they were both very good in terms of quality. The gym and spa were great. The areas that require attention: The service. We just found this to be very mixed. Sometimes it was attentive, sometimes it was very slow, sometimes not exactly done with a smile (especially around the pool). The pool area. The towels failed to arrive before 9am on any day, which for us is too late. The pool is great, but fairly cold in October. There was a lack of sun beds around the pool at times, which is crazy as there is space for more. Tipping. The relentless asks for cash tips was really a bit of a holiday spoiler for us. I appreciate that in American resorts perhaps this happens by adding to the receipt and it goes on your room, but it didn’t feel good. Maintenance. Our room had a few issues and it was hard to get anyone to resolve them. The bathroom plug didn’t work, it took them three attempts to turn up to fix it. One of our sun loungers was broken and it was never fixed. The bedding had numerous holes in it. Cost. Cost of food and beverages in the hotel is very high, so we had dinner out most nights. WiFi. Terrible around the pool, and there is no excuse for that.
