Fantastiskt hotell
Servicen är verkligen 5 stjärnig
Riktigt god mat
Dårlig service, ok forkost, men veldig overpriset. Ikke value for money!
Ligger øde til, må ta tuk-tuk til alt. Stranden rett ved er fin. Ville ikke ha bodd her igjen
Loved the name of this Hotel, and on arrival were not disappointed. It is a newly refurbished Hotel, and although simple in style, it is a very unique place, located on a wonderful site which overlooks the ocean, and has a spectacular view from the restaurant while dining. Everyone was so nice, and the staff could not do enough for us, but I have to mention our lovely waiter Isha who was such a pleasant young man, and made us feel extra welcome. His smile would brighten your day, and anything requests we had were never a problem with him. Well done Isha, and thank you from two happy Irish Guests.
A really nice hotel, just beside the sea. Clean, Good Sri Lankan Good and very nice and helpful staf. The beach was 5 m from the poolarea. A bit of, but with bus or tuktuk it took only 5-10 min to bigger beaches and surfing areas.

The environment is good. I love the swimming pool and beach most. Service was fantastic. But bedbugs on my bed!! I got over 10 bites one night and feeling itching. Please clean the room before. Not a pleasant stay.
This fantastic hotel is a bit off to be honest (well, a about 10 minutes by tuktuk if you want to go to Weligama, and only a few minutes if you want to go to Midigama), but besides that... WOW!
This hotel is just fantastic! We had some kind of panoramic room, which was all glass walls, and two balconies in separate directions. The hotel is right over the ocean and has got its own private beach. Beautiful! Also, the pool is very nice, coming out from the lobby to the outside.
The breakfast is massive, with all that you want. And they also have a restaurant open at night.
The personal was very kind and very good service and cleaning.
The kids loved the perfect wi-fi :).
Every thing was acceptable; they did not have tooth paste in the bathroom. The buffet dinner was the usual as found every where but the breakfast buffet could have had more variations with emphasis on more of Sri Lankan food. The foreigners who visit SL look forward for SL foods. The items in the mini bar were too çostlý even Cinnamon Grand does not charge so much.

Nice hotel with private beach.
We stayed at Gartons Cape for 2 nights. The room, pool and beach at the hotel were very nice, however the buffet food was very limited and a lot of it was cold. Compared to the other buffets we had on our trip in Sri Lanka it was also overpriced.
On the second night we ordered a la carte thinking it would be better quality but unfortunately this resulted in my having extremely bad diarrohea the following day and almost missing our flight as I was so ill.
Beware of the food!

Beautiful location. Average hotel. Terrible service.
This is a very nice hotel with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. We were upgraded to an ocean view room upon arrival, which was very nice and really made a big difference. The other side of the hotel is directly on the road and I can only imagine how loud it would have been. The beds are very comfortable, the buffet breakfast was perfect and the pool and grounds are set up very nicely. The small private beach is also a bonus, and there was enough space for everyone. A few things to consider: the wifi wasn't working properly and it was only on day 2, when a manager (rather than a receptionist who I had complained to on several occasions) overheard and solved the problem. Also, the location is fantastic in that it is right on the ocean, but the hotel is also on the main road and so there is always a lot of noise. Nothing to be done about that though. The restaurant food was just okay, but overpriced. I also think that overall, the hotel is overpriced, I think you can get a nicer and more relaxing spot further along the coast.
