Birthday Weekend - relaxing time
World class views and a supremely relaxing location - the house is well equipped, the layout was perfect for our needs and despite the miserable weather (to be expected at this time of year) everyone had a fun and relaxing time. Of note - excellent advice when the water wasn’t running when we arrived and an easy fix (again an understandable risk given the location). Unfortunately a few gripes rotten apple core under our bed, vacuum cleaner hadn’t been emptied for months, TV was unwatchable - constant red shadow - none of which is acceptable

Exactly what we needed
If you're after fresh air, remarkable expansive views, rolling hills, sea and sand it would be difficult to beat this place. John is a terrific host, the cabins are comfortable, the location outstanding. We'll return.

Views
The property has fantastic views! Our family loved the quiet solitude and rest that this place offers. It is a convent drive to sights. The place was not clean which was a pity because it would have been very good otherwise. Having to drive your rubbish to the nearest town is a real disadvantage esp. with a family. Seems unfair not to place a bin at the bottom of the hill at least. Otherwise quite nice.

We had a lovely weekend away in Agnes and really enjoyed the house. There is no where with better views. The kitchen has everything you need to cook up a family meal and the deck is the perfect spot to catch sunrise and sunset.

An amazing place.
We came for the view, the space, and the time to do nothing or something. It didn’t disappoint . The house is very comfortable and John is an amazing host. Lovely trips to the beach and surrounding towns, all the while returning to the house way up on a hill!

A perfect getaway
The villa is clean and nice. The view from the house is even better than the pictures. As if you are standing in front of a big painting on a wall but you suddenly realise it is real.Stunning! We couldn’t make it to Wilson’s Prom due to extreme weather condition . Instead stayed in ,relaxed , with wine in front of the fire place and enjoyed it very much. John is very nice and helpful. he welcomed us on the first day too. We enjoyed our stay so much , we are going back .

Beautiful country retreat
The location is secluded and beautiful. We left feeling very relaxed. The view is the star, the property is atop a large feature and has the most spectacular view. The house has obviously had a large amount of guests stay, leading to wear and tear. May need a bit of a revamp to ensure guests continue to enjoy such a beautiful place.

Exceptional views!
It was all about the location, the views and peace & quiet!! We received a warm welcome by John, thank you. The red chairs were fantastic, wish there were a few more comfortable seating, for the whole family to enjoy the views. The doonas need changing & wish there was a swat for the flies (which were very annoying), a pedestal fan in the b/rooms would hv been good too & maybe a set of cheap wine glasses. The location will bring us back!

Amazing views! Very comfortable and clean property. Had everything we needed.
We loved the property and the whole experience of One Tree Hill. Although it was cloudy when we first arrived, once the cloud lifted we were blown away by the beauty of the view. Next time we stay we will explore Wilson’s Prom. Thanks for having us.

This could be absolutely amazing, but a missed opportunity...
Wow, if I was just rating the views it would be 11 out of 10! LOVED the position of this house on the hill. But like the other reviews the house inside with its tired and worn and mismatched interior lets that view down to what could be a completely amazing experience. John was very helpful with pet friendly venues and places to go in the area and came straight away when the bench on the deck collapsed when sat on...John I would maybe suggest looking how Daylesford properties are styled on the Dayget website for some styling improvement ideas to make your place really soar.

My family and I stayed for 2 nights and the views were amazing! The property is a little dated and as others have mentioned in their reviews, needs a little TLC and a good thorough clean. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely be back!

Amazing views, great location but the place needs a good clean up
We have enjoyed our stay in this amazing place. Views are just incredible especially during sunny days. A rainy day it is very nice to get fire going - very cozy. For our liking, it was not clean enough inside the house. Thank you for letting us stay. We had great time.

Amazing views!
Such a great location, which the house certainly makes the most of. The views are spectacular & this was the perfect place to spend a few winters days with the kids (& dogs) relaxing, reading, watching movies and playing games whilst sipping wine with the fire going & enjoying that view. The wind was 80kms on our first night & the whistling made it sound like the house was singing. The winds shook the house to the point our bed was shaking (& the chimney rattled all night!). Whilst it didn’t make the most restful of nights sleep (the kids did sleep through it), it was certainly an adventure (& in no way the owners fault). The electric blankets were fantastic! John was lovely & greeted/waved us off with George. My only criticism is that it could have been a little cleaner (things just needed a proper wipe down) & the house is at a point where it may need some sprucing up (it’s borderline). The rugs, whilst adding charm to the house roll up at the edges & I almost tripped over a few times. The carpet in the main bedroom has some damage & could do with replacing. It is presented so lovely & maybe needs a little TLC (& I do mean a little). Another bar stool at the kitchen bench would have been handy (one isn’t enough). We really enjoyed our stay & would recommend the house.

We absolutely loved our stay. Clean, comfortable and quiet with amazing ever changing views.
Amazing view out to the Prom and Seal islands. Night with the log fire burning, mulled wine on the stove and a starry sky you only get in the country. Fresh morning sunrise, fog settled over the low land.

It’s all about the view!
What a spectacular view when you walk through the door. Just amazing. Truly 360o! It was lovely having meals at the table while looking out towards Wilson’s Prom. Amenities were very good and beds were comfortable. Great having two well-sized bathrooms. Being so high on the hill, be prepared for some strong winds! It was great to be personally welcomed by the host, John. We will most definitely be back. Thank you.
